Well,
yesterday
evening
it
felt
as
if
we’d
walked
into
a
private
party
and
a
“
bring
you
child
to
work
“
day.
We
were
at
Carpe
Diem
to
see
Ron
Van
Etten
-
who
incidentally
is
an
extremely
good
act
to
watch
and
I
recommend
that
you
do
so,
just
not
a
this
venue.
From
start
to
finish,
the
service
was
unprofessional
and
shoddy.
The
garnish
on
the
gin
and
tonic
was
incorrect
and
one
of
the
party
spent
her
evening
fishing
the
garnish
out
of
her
glass,
it
was
as
if
someone
had
just
thought”
let’s
see
how
much
greenery
we
can
chuck
in
the
glass”.
I
did
tell
the
lady
who
delivered
the
drinks
that
there’s
a
really
good
app
and
it
tells
you
what
garnish
goes
with
which
gin,
but
I
might
as
well
have
been
telling
her
that
the
local
supermarket
had
a
special
on
rotten
fish
for
the
interest
she
showed
-
you’d
think
people
would
like
to
learn
their
trade
properly,
wouldn’t
you?
Add
to
this
the
bar
manager’s
screaming
child
running
around
and
sitting
ON
(not
at)
the
bar
eating
strawberries,
people
constantly
talking
when
the
poor
musician
was
trying
to
play
(you
might
go
to
all
his
gigs
in
Pafos
love,
but
this
was
the
only
one
that
I
was
attending.
Never
mind,
I’m
sure
you’ll
hear
the
songs
at
the
next
gig
that
you
missed
last
night
due
to
your
incessant
chatter).
Then
we
have
the
matter
of
cross
contamination
-
staff
using
the
bathroom
with
their
aprons
still
on,
very
unhygienic.
Round
this
off
with
the
price
of
€6
for
a
Gordon’s
gin
(
the
tonic
was
extra)
and
it’s
safe
to
say
I
would
rather
check
out
the
special
on
rotten
fish
than
go
back
there.
The
atmosphere
was
too
bright,
no
ambiance
whatsoever
sadly.
The
place
needs
a
lick
of
paint
and
some
decent
lighting
to
be
honest.
The
new
owner
seemed
rather
clueless
and
I’m
sorry
we
had
a
go
at
you
on
your
birthday,
but
something
had
to
be
said.
I’ve
tried
to
like
the
place,
honestly
I
have,
but
the
last
few
times
I’ve
been
here,
the
food
was
dire
as
well
as
the
service.
I’m
still
wondering
why
when
I
asked
if
I
could
have
a
small
full
English
a
while
back,
the
answer
was
“
no,
we
only
do
one
size”.
I
know
I
have
a
few
extra
kilos
but
having
to
tuck
into
an
enormous
plate
of
food
that
I
wouldn’t
finish
is
not
going
to
help
my
cause,
is
it?
All
in
all,
it’s
safe
to
say
that
we
won’t
be
going
back
which
is
sad
as
it’s
local
to
where
we
live
and
very
handy,
but
I’d
rather
drink
a
gin
and
tonic
at
home
where
I
have
peace
and
quiet,
no
screaming
kids
and
I
can
pay
myself
€6….
