A great morning out best done whilst not in the midday sun as its exceptionally hot, with not too much shade. There are a few strategically placed pagodas to shade you for a spot of much but not much else. If you love roaming round historical site with very little to stop you roaming this is a must for you! All the tombs are magical and just stunning to see. Their former inhabitants would have felt very blessed! I would love to know where they are now? Wear comfortable shoes and bring plenty of water!

Very interesting place. 2,50€ submission fee, last submission at 19:00. I recommend using the qr-codes because you learn way more and know where to look at the ruins. You then understand a lot and get a great experience. Be prepared that you have to walk a lot and that it may get very hot. Shadowy places are all over the site but you should take water with you.

The tomb site is bit large and there are lot of tombs which are beautiful. You can have a peaceful walk all around the tombs and you can spend a good 2 hours. Kids will surely love this place (I visited alone but saw lot of kids and old people around) Apart from tombs, there is nothing special. Few unique rock structures as seen in one of my photo. In general one can cover all the places in approx 1 hour with limited pics. Entry fee is 2.5 EUR. Phones and cameras are free of cost. Overall a good place to visit for history lovers and if you are into ancient things. The parking outside is free of cost. Park in a shaded area (under tree) There will be taxis standing outside entrance if you don’t have own vehicle.

While this was a just the tombs, all artefacts found here (limited as many were ransacked over the years) and in the archaeological dig can be found at the museum in Paphos old town, it’s a fascinating place. A real view into Greek history of 300 BC as a walk back in time. Recommend visiting at earlier or later in the day to avoid the heat and the bus loads of people on tours. It’s best enjoyed when it’s a little quieter to soak up the atmosphere.

Beautiful to see the king of tombs. Worth coming to visit and seeing the burials and learning the history of it all. Must do in Paphos and entry fee is reasonable priced.

Interesting piece of history, very easy to get to by bus, the bus stop is just outside of the parking lot. You don't need to book the tickets beforehand. Keep in mind you are walking on the sun the whole time, we went there in July and it was way too hot to fully enjoy the experience as there is not much shadow to hide in. Each section has a QR code you can scan and read more about that specific tomb, in more languages. Definitely worth visiting, just keep in mind there are no places to refresh or sit down.

Definitely worth the 2.5 € fee! Maybe it's best to plan your tour in the morning because it can get very hot and the site it's quite large and tombs are placed far away from each other. You can scan some qr codes to get information about the objectives, they can be improved from my point of view but it's a nice way of sharing information about the place. You can rest under the pergolas and there is also a toilet at entrance.

Amazing, visit every year. So many different things to find each year. Kids love the history and the views are amazing. Only downside is very tricky for wheelchair but we manage. Would recommend getting there early as not much shaded areas.

This place is amazing. And it's oddly not that advertised. If this were anywhere else they'd charge a fortune to get in, but instead it's only $2.50 per adult and no charge for kids. An absolute bargain. Some of the tombs are still well preserved, it's an amazing experience. It's an Egypt inspired world heritage site and it needs to be seen. Allow for a good 2 hours, go early and bring water. History at its finest.

Tombs of the kings worth the visit especially for €2.5 ticket. If you are visiting this place in summer then best to visit in the evening around 5pm to avoid the heat and watch the sunset. You need around 2 hours to visit everything. Make sure to bring a bottle of water with you as there is no any shop in the site. Unfortunately there is no clear map of what to see, you need to walk around and figure them out by yourself. But in general is worth the visit and is interesting to visit historical sites and see how people used to live.

Great site to explore the local history, reasonably priced it has many individual burial chambers some more impressive than others but all interesting. The area is open and can get very warm in the middle of the day and there is a fair bit of walking involved to get round it all. We'll worth the effort if you enjoy historic sites.

We’ve been to the Tomb of the kings in the beginning of September. We’ve paid 4,5euros to get inside the park. Tomb of the kings is really a must see if you are in Paphos. You can enter every tomb and enjoy the tombs interior. All tombs have there own specific beauty so take your time to walk the park. The biggest downside of the park is that some of the information panels were broken, so you couldn’t read the text on it. Overall it was a very nice park. If you like to see some of the nicest preserved tombs in Cyprus you need to visit this park.

Definetly worth visiting if you’re in the area or interested in this period of history. Very much open exploration once you enter the site so it’s completely up to you how long or short you spend here. Bring a lot of water as there’s not a lot of shade and it’s extremely hot. It’s absolutely incredible wandering around these tombs and archaeological sites, especially the few that have been restored to a semblance of what they would have looked like during the period of their construction. For a history lover an absolute must, but also a great tourist attraction for anyone.

My journey to the Tombs of the Kings was an incredible experience, as I got to see the fascinating ruins and tours of a place that was once a great city. I truly appreciate the opportunity to discover this archaeological site. Have you been to this amazing place? If not I highly recommend visiting and admiring the beauty of this place. 💛💛💛

The ticket costs 2,50€ per person. It’s definitely a must-see place for people who is interested in this kind of stuff. You can download an app where it describes everything around you. Also there’s another exit next to the sea. It’s not so big, so it’ll not take a lot of time, like an archeological park.

The entry ticket is 2.5 € per person. There is a parking right outside the entry and ticket counter. Parking is free. There is qr code outside every tomb so you don't need a guide. You can hear the info or even play a video related to it on YouTube. You need atleast 2 hours to have a look of the whole area. You can exit from various locations like beach near paradise cove, lighthouse or even the city center.

Only 2,5 € for entry. Not much but not much to see either. It is like a walk between rocky places with mediteranean vegetation. If it is hot, you really need an umbrella. There are not so many places with shadow. You will find some tombs , small caves and a great view around the place and the see. Be careful if you have small children, might be difficult for them to walk around, rocks and hols are all over the place. Overall a nice experience, if you want to spend an hour ore more walking under the sun.

So much history lies beneath the sand and rocks at this place. Well worth a visit and the €2.50 entrance fee. If you're on holiday and want to walk around a very old cemetery....... then this is the place. Only downside, is that there is no access for people in wheelchairs.

Beautiful, ancient spot by the ocean, probably best seen with a tour guide as I didn't see much in the way of information. I do know not so many kings once buried here as much as aristocracy. But at such a small entrance fee it's a great place to come and spend an afternoon amongst the ruins, especially off season with fewer people and cooler weather. Lots of Instagram opportunities though 🤓😆

Only cost 2.5 euro to go in, we found they could of put some more signs around the ruins several times found ourselves walking down a path just into a dead end. The tombs are good they give you a feel of what it was like, we went early to avoid coach parties. Also there were no drinks inside so take some water a cafe would of been appreciated greatly as hot.

I enjoyed looking around here it isn't expensive entry and there is parking, although close to the bus stop so we travelled by bus. I have a bad back so wasn't able to look inside all of the tombs as they see down stairs, but could see plenty from the above myself. Very open space with some places to sit if needed. Also close to the sea, but it is all fenced off from outside to keep area protected and safe. It wasn't busy at all when we went in December time. I wouldn't go back but I'm glad I have been. (see photos)

Very nice experience for the lovers of ancient history. A lot of tombs to explore, with some elements of architecture still preserved. Some of the tombs have small underground chambers, which was an unusual experience for us. Great views on the sea and the surrounding area. The entry price is as low as 2.5 EUR per person, totally costs the money. There is also a guide book available on the entry (costs around 8 EUR though), and a digital description of most of the tombs available through QR codes inside.

I hadn't had high expectations of this site but was blown away by the power of it - maybe all those rich souls floating in the ether. The archeology is beautiful but the landscape is boundless with stone cairns and windswept beach grasses, like a Star Wars movie set. Definitely a must see, and better yet, must feel!

It was okay. It's stil impressive what these people have built ages ago. You definitely get a good impression about the culture. The place facilities are not in a good shape. There are a LOT of missing signs and explanations. Better buy a guide/book or something otherwise it's a lot of guessing. Even the pathes from one tomb to the other is hard to find. Which it might makes this an adventurous Location for kids. There is a lot to discover in every angle of the place. The walkways are ok but I would not recommend using a baby stroller. Entrance price of 2,50€ is cheap and you can easily spend 2hrs on this discovery. People with disabilities will have their problems with the old stairs and steep rocks to get to the interesting parts

Exploring the Tombs of the Kings in Cyprus was a remarkable experience. Walking among these ancient tombs provided a profound connection to history. The inclusion of QR codes at each tomb, offering audio guides to their histories, was a pleasant surprise, enriching the visit. Access to the site is straightforward, with the 615 bus and ample parking options. At just euro2.50 per person, it's a budget-friendly adventure. We visited in the morning to escape the midday heat, and the tombs' coolness was refreshing. However, it's important to note that the site can get scorching as the day progresses, so bring water and sun protection. Despite the lack of shelter on hot days, the historical significance and captivating history make it a must-see in Cyprus. The warm water from the refilling stations isn't ideal, but it's a minor inconvenience compared to the rich historical experience. In summary, the Tombs of the Kings is a captivating destination. With its accessibility, affordability, and informative QR codes, it's a great way to spend a few hours exploring Cyprus's intriguing history. Just be mindful of the heat and come prepared for an enriching visit.

Insanely hot, insanely amazing. To be able to walk through and into these ancient tombs is nothing short of incredible. At 2,300 years old, it’s awesome to be able to walk through, walk into, crawl through and pass from tomb to tomb. This is an absolute must if you’re visiting the region. Our kids loved it and we did too, go early or late during summer as it’s warm. Plus you can’t access the beach afterwards, you need to go back to the entrance and round again.

Fantastic experience to walk amongst ancient tombs. Surprised at the amount of access and QR codes that provide audio to each tomb's history. Very easy to reach on the 615 bus and plenty of car parking. A good way to spend a few hours and euro2.50 per person is well worth the money. We visited in the morning and by 10.30 the site became very hot although the tombs were cool.

I loved this place. It just holds so much history and, well, the touch of really talented [passed] individuals. Their construction/engineering skills are unbelievable, and a must visit. The walk doesn't take long. However, it's better to visit late in the day, as the sun is a scorcher.

Considering that there is nothing much to do in Paphos, this becomes must-to-see place. Entrance tickets are not that expensive and the place is suitable for walks. You will learn a bit of history at the place, and make some nice pictures of rocks that visitors style into high piles at some places. I recommend to go there early in the morning, as heat become unbearable during the day. Definitely bring a lot of water with you, and count with only one toilet room, which is at the entrance.

We couldn't not visit this site as it was across the road from our hotel looking out to the sea . It was a fantastic place, hard to think it dates back to 3000 years BC. I'd advise visiting early or later as it was intensely hot. It was incredibly cheap for such an important archaeological site. 2.50 Euros in the UK it would have cost at least £10 probably much more. It's worth downloading the QR code at each tomb so you know what your looking at. There is minimal other interpretation information on site. What would really help is a model of the original site to put it all in perspective. Sensible shoes and clothing advised.

Good hour or two spent walking around and inside the tombs. All outside so remember your sunscreen and water. Watch out for the prickly pear cactus! Lovely sea front walk. Interesting archeological site. Lots of photo opportunities. Nice little ice cream van out in the car park. Plenty of parking space. Toilet facilities were standard. €2.50 each.

A really great visit and very good value for Euros 2.50. Plenty of parking outside, not terribly well signposted inside as signs appear to have just weathered away and not been replaced Worth getting the Euros 4 guide book which is very informative and has a good map on page 41, pic attached. Entrance to the sight is bottom right. Personally I felt the highlights were tombs 3,4,5 and 8. Its well worth about 90 mins plus. Its not suitable for wheelchairs as the paths are uneven even where they are more established but if your not great on your feet you can still see a lot from the viewing points and you don't have to go down into the tombs as there steps are often very steep. Tomb 8 does have wooden steps though. If you are more nimble you really can get down into many of the tombs had have a very good look around.

Great place for a visit. Vast amount of ruins to walk around & informative with the QR codes for the tombs. Lovely views of the coast and shipwreck from the back of the site. As with most places in Cyprus there is only a small charge for adults (€2.50) and children are free. Plenty of parking and easy to find. Toilets on site also.

Incredible place to visit and experience although might be a little underwhelming for younger visitors. As with similar sites in Cyprus this is very very cheap to visit but there is no real supporting mechanism although the new web links on each of the tombs are a massive step forward ( scan the QR on each tomb and you have descriptions in your own language). Don’t want to spoil the surprise but no kings buried here although it is incredible to be able to walk around the site and into the various tombs. In most countries this would be far less accessible but better protected and cannot help but feel a sense of guilt that visiting this site likely damages it for generations to come. Cyprus has a rather user-responsible attitude towards health and safety and a distinct lack of knowledge of the benefits safety railings, so a certain degree of care is needed in places and if possible some stronger shoes are recommended but not essential. Well worth a visit whilst you can.

Fascinating place, rich in history. Information signs have been replaced with QR codes to be scanned. Information is then available in multiple languages. More information, including a map of the site, would be beneficial. Note that there is very little shade and no refreshments on site. There are toilets at the entrance/exit. Tickets were only €2.50 each for adults.

Free parking, cheap entry and seamless use of QR codes or app to provide the self guided tour. If anything it's a good walk but the history of this UNESCO heritage site is fascinating.

  • 4/5 Clare B. 7 months ago on Google
UNESCO site. Well worth a visit. There are nine particular tombs spread over the site and you can scan the QR codes to obtain further details if you wish. Like the archaeological site down at the harbour, a visit early in the day is recommended. Likewise, bring water, a good SPF and a hat. You'll need them as the heat can be merciless - plenty of areas to grab a little respite though. Wear comfortable footwear - this is not flip-flop terrain as there are steps, sand and stones in abundance.

  • 4/5 Robert A. 5 months ago on Google
An interesting place to see, take plenty of water as there is no shop here. Hardly any shade until you get into the tomb itself. It takes about 45 minutes to see it all. Once outside there is an ice cream van that does sell water if they haven't run out. Mr whippy ice cream which they dipped into melted chocolate looked good.

Quite interesting place to see while in Paphos, good to visit if you're around but not sure if it's worth driving from the other side of the island. An interesting place full of mysterious corners. It is great that visitors can enter the tombs. At the entrance to each of them, there is a QR code with an explanation in English. I recommend visiting the place in the early evening, when the sun is not so hot, as the area is quite extensive.

  • 5/5 Jamie G. 8 months ago on Google
Absolutely stunning place rich in history. So much to see and do within this place. The tombs we're fairly spread out, so quite a bit of walking was needed throughout the day. An entry fee was relatively cheap in my opinion at just €2.50, and was thoroughly worth it. Some of the tombs can be quite tricky to walk down to and some of the areas that lie within can provide bit of a task. But nearly everything has been left in its original state. There is a QR code which you can scan at certain locations within the site, which gives you both audio and a video description of that area. I and my party totally enjoyed the day, and if this is your thing then you will love it here. On a final note, take plenty of water and make use of the shades.

Definitely worth a visit! Tickets only 2,5 eur, the site is big, a lot of tombs to see, some are big with rooms you can enter and it's pleaseantly cool inside, which is nice and looks like a good, quiet place to relax, but it would probably look weird to lay in those rooms considering you're walking in the tombs 🤔😃

Nice place to visit 2.50 euros each, you can use the QR codes to get audio about the tombs which we thought was a good. Take a drink as its a bit of walking and on a hot day there isn't much shade. We spent a couple of hours here. If like me and you are a bit unstable on your feet in places it can be a bit tricky to get down in the tombs but most of it was quite easy. Definitely worth a visit at the price.

I recommend using the qr-codes because you learn way more and know where to look at the ruins. Be prepared that you have to walk a lot and that it may get very hot. I recommend visiting this site as soon as the site is opened for visitors so that you will finish it before noon. The entry fee is 2.5 EUR. There is an option for a guide as well with an extra charge. As there are no shops in or near by , carrying some snacks and water is a must. Overall a good place to visit for history lovers and if you are into ancient things. The toilets and parking outside is free of cost.

An absolute gem and a must-visit if you are in Paphos and are interested in History. For only 2.50 you get entrance to an extensive site filled with numerous tombs. We spent the whole morning there and easily could have stayed longer if it wasn't for the heat. Really interesting and a complete bargain! To echo what others have already said: bring suncream, a hat and plenty of water. Shoes that are comfortable to walk in on uneven ground are also a must.
