Nice catacombs from the early christianic period found close to the port of Paphos in Cyprus. Easy to access there is a sign on the main street which indicates it. Worth to visit, make a wish and hang something on the tree outside.

Wow. Wife and I blown away buy these catacombs. Largest we've been in. If it's been raining take some stout boots as the mud can be ankle deep in places

Well worth a visit be careful as you walk down the steps as it leads to water that's hard to see.

Great place to explore once you find the entrance which is quite hidden. Some sort of sign would help. The map marker was in the wrong place though, I’ve just moved it to the entrance!

Legend says if we hang something on the tree, our wish would come true. It’s a nice place to take a rest from the hot sun.

We stumbled by this place by accident, it was wonderful to explore it and read about it online. Sadly there was no signs that explain what this place is so we had to check online. People make a wish and tie a piece of cloth or something personal on the tree. Cool tradition.

Found it quite interesting to browse around Agia Solomoni Catacombs, including Petra Tou Digheni, Roman House, 12th century frescoes, and a ‘sacred’ Terebinth tree believed to provide good health in exchange for a personal tribute (which mostly takes the form of handkerchiefs:)

Fascinating site be sure to look carefully to see the remains of the frescos, fairly unusual in Cypriot catacombs and the holy well said good for eyes. The wish tree waxes and wanes in its handkerchief number...sold by the nearby shop if you dont happen to have one to hand...certainly clean ones! Nice and cool as well. Still a place for the faithful and very evocative.

Nice, but the catacombs a bit further to the north are a lot bigger and more interesting.

Small but nice. Old lady praying and performing rituals. Duck your head or you'll hurt yourself

👍👍 Fantastic local beach. This beach is sooo nice. Great sand, crystal clear and I mean CRYSTAL clear water. Because of the breakwater the sea is really calm here. €7.50 for two sunbeds and an umbrella. Get a beer from the bar or order from the hotel. If you like snorkelling then definitely go here, s...
