Such an incredibly interesting place to visit with not only historical photographs of traditional tools and trade but first hand accounts by surviving elderly women who will work the loom there and then. You can purchase handmade silk and cotton weaved gifts. No pressure to buy but impossible to resist such beautiful artifacts made by such lovely people.

The museum is housed in a traditional 18th century building, known as the “House of Hadjismith”. This building belonged to Andreas Zimboulakis, a rich and educated man who was appointed British Consular Agent for western Cyprus and was responsible for the provisioning of the British troops.

Far more interesting than I imagined ought would be. Ancient crafts and activities exhibited in a genuine historic house with it's own ancient history.

Open till 16.00, not 17.00, as stated in Google. So we tried again and came at 15.30. The guard was locking up and when we asked to get in, pointed us towards the small olive press exhibit outside, refusing to let us inside the museum. It's clear he wanted to clear out for the weekend, ignoring the 16.00 closing time. Not going to try again.

Free admission to a small & nice museum with exhibition explaining olive oil production

We really enjoyed some of the exhibits- fascinating especially the native vernacular pottery gallery. Some of the displays are a bit tired- they're 41 years old now but it's a timeless glimpse of a disappeared Cypriot class . A must see in Pafos!

Very basic but does reflect how simple life used to be in gareskipou with a straight forward display of wine, olive oil manufacturing equipment.

Artefacts, tools and crafts from the past, with good information and evocative photographs. It's not big, but memorable.

My little daughter loved this place. The officer was very helpful and polite. Lovely clean and tidy garden as Cypriot used to have before many years (ie grapes plant, trees, flowers)
