We had booked a 5 night stay in April-May 2023 in this hotel as it looked great and had great reviews. When we arrived in the middle of the night, there was no light. We then saw a sign saying "Closed for renovation". Apparently they didn't find it necessary to inform travel agencies or customers about this. Luckily we found another hotel at 1 am, but this is just a scandal.

The hotel itself is cute and romantic with its classical Roman style. Many flowers decorates the place. The staff is nice and friendly except the catering ones. The rooms are okayish. The location is great, many-many things are close. The food is weakest point of the hotel.

This is a small boutique hotel opposite the Kings Avenue Mall in Paphos. It's a themed hotel with ancient Roman, Greek and Egyptian style wall paintings. Even our room's walls had huge paintings of Egyptian gods and persons. Services were good. The stuff was helpful. It was quiet and relaxing. The breakfast was good with a lot different choices, some of them very tasty. Our bedroom was in front of the small swimming pool in an area with some trees and flowers, but you could have full privacy with closed curtains. In the bedroom there was a kettle with coffee and some oranges, plus 2 bottles of water, which we appreciated a lot. They offer other amenities too like spa, sauna, gym etc but we didn't try them. I would love it a bit more clean and maybe if the hotel was renovated as it looks a bit dated despite its ancient theme. It was a nice experience and of course I recommend it for someone on a budget.

Great value for the money. Like others have said, the decor is over the top and unnecessary, but it was sort of fun. It is a bit older of a hotel and you can feel that. The hallways have mirrors and the place feels like a maze and very confusing. I really enjoyed the pool and bar area though, very relaxing. The short walk to the beach is great as well! The breakfast is pretty good, however the juice maker is just a powder or something so itโ€™s a bit disappointing when you want a fresh cup of orange juice. Overall would recommend.

Booked as a last day room due to late flight and early villa check out, cheap room, service and accommodating us for an early check in was brilliant. Not our cup of tea, bit seedy (Boutique), mirrors everywhere, and I'm sure if I chucked the room key in a bowl, I would have had an unwelcome guest knocking at the door. Saw a family check in, that father needs to give his head a wobble, you do not take kids to this place!

Lovely hotel I loved the theme throughout of the Romans. Loved also how the sun loungers were put out so they couldn't be reserved too early on etc. Fantastic location for everything I loved the pool it was beautiful. The staff throughout were very nice and helpful the room service, reception and the restaurant manager and other staff I came across were. What a lovely holiday and only sun I had this year ! Only thing room could have done was with a kettle and a few more plug sockets ! Great sized rooms.

Really loved our stay at this hotel. We went as a family and took the dog. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. They provided us with a clean cot and bedding which was suitable for out 18month old son. We had a triple suite, this had its own balcony which was spacious and quite. Perfect for sunbathing. The bed was very large and comfortable. The water pressure was good in the shower and the bathroom was very clean. I was very impressed with the pool area outside. It even had a separate shallow pool for small children. Plenty of greenery and lots of space. The only negative was parking was quite difficult, however this wasn't too much of an issue.

This is the first hotel I've actually left. It was so terrible I can't understand why it has such good reviews. Yes, it is visually very beautiful and the location is great but that's about it. Everything else is bad. The bed is rock hard and impossible to sleep on. Not that you would sleep much anyway since you can hear every single word from the room next door and from the corridor. The airconditioning is also quite noisy. A hotel room where you can't sleep is utterly useless. The receptionist came to the room to see what we ment with our complaints. Heย looked really ill and sneezed many times without his mask covering his face at all, not even the mouth. He was basically wearing it on his neck for show. In our room! While sneezing. I hope for his sake we didn't get covid! I told him he should wear his mask in rooms and he just said he takes covid tests often. You can still spread it if you contracted it after your last test! And I don't exactly want any of your other viruses either...ย  I've never seen such ignorance and disregard of guest safety in a hotel. Btw, there's no view from the balcony in standard rooms. At all. The trees block everything. Don't book a room here. Just don't do it. It's ridiculous we needed to pay for the first night. THEY should pay US for compensating the time we now missed since we weren't able to sleep all night and missed some things we had planned because we were too tired. We will be asking our money back. Tip: always ask to see your room before paying and try the bed!

No wifi in rooms. Checked in to a dirty bathroom while male staff was using my toilet. Not cleaned after regardless the request. Careless attitude at reception - none of the complaints were addressed by receptionist Irina who was just dropping the phone and acting rude and defensive. Outdated stinky rooms with no way of their old TVs to connect to HDMI. Cold and dirty swimming pool. Location is the only positive feature of this hotel but choose somewhere else if you expect at least basic comfort and hospitality.

We stayed as a couple for 4 nights and the experience was amazing! We were hesitant at first whether to book this hotel since the reviews were mixed, ranging from the old decor, the boring breakfast, and the noise. But nevertheless, we decided to give it a try based on the central location and the price. We were genuinely surprised by the level of service the atmosphere and the treatment we received there. The staff is exceptional, the reception girls, the bartender in the pool area, and the waiters! The breakfast was as described in reviews, simple. But everything was tasty and fresh. We enjoyed the food very much since we don't have special needs and are not that picky. The room, though dated, was very clean, suited the theme of the hotel, and had all the accommodations needed. In the hotel, there is a beautiful pool, a spa, a gym, a ping pong and a snooker table a bar area which is very inviting and nice to hang out at. The games, spa and gym needs to be reserved thou. Throughout the day and the meals, the place was quiet and relaxing, with no raging kids, no shouting between the staff no complaining customers. Only smiles and a good vibe. The place is in the center of the city so you can walk everywhere u want from there. The archeological area, beaches, harbor, restaurants, bars and its a 20 min drive from the airport (also the hotel can reserve a taxi for you). We also got recommendations from the reception on tours, trips, and good places to visit and eat at. Would definitely come back and recommend it to others, we had an amazing time there. Unless of course if you are interested in a highly versatile kitchen, all-inclusive, high-end decor, or a full pension hotel.

A lovely little boutique hotel just a little OTT with the Roman/Greek theme but somehow it works. My wife and I recently had a 10 day stay, it was wonderful. The hotel was clean and comfortable but the bed a little hard and squeaky but put right by maintenance after we mentioned it to the receptionist, as were the ants which paid us regular visits during our first week. Our room maid sent them packing within 2 days, she was a diamond. The food was sublime, absolutely beautiful dishes and nothing was ever left, clean plates at every sitting. The stay was cheap but donโ€™t let that put you off, this place rocks and we would most definitely stay here again.

The design style of the hotel is old and authentic, but the hotel rooms are also very old and do not smell so good and the maintenance of the rooms is mediocre. The rooms are large and spacious. The service is kind. The hotel is located near the mall. The breakfast is very nice.

Unusual decor but fun. Fantastic pool area. Good breakfast and very helpful staff. Handy location. The room was a good size with a large balcony. Bed was a bit too firm.

A very beautiful hotel, it has its own unique atmosphere! The rooms are very clean, the service is nice, very close to the beach and the most important monuments. At breakfast, a very large selection and tasty! I recommend it if you want to stay in Paphos!

Room was fine. The housekeeping didn't really clean they just took out the trash not even changing sandy sheets. The fridge was old and leaking. The room was dusty. Also the whole hotel was quite dark. Breakfast buffet was very limited with choices and most items seemed low quality. Which also was noticable by their taste. Service was basically non existent. Except for George who was very helpful with breakfast.

Nice hotel, close to the Mall and the city centre. Breakfast was good, dinner was poor. Lots of cafes, restorable and bars nearby. A city bus 50m from the hotel can bring you to Venus beach and coral bay.

This was the first themed hotel my wife and I have ever stayed at, and I would highly recommend it. It is located by the old Paphos archaeological site, beach, King's Mall, and many good restaurants. The whole hotel and rooms have artistic, Roman paintings were very interesting. The price was cheap. It included a nice breakfast buffet that was very complete with hot and cold foods with juice, tea, and coffee.

The hotel is very unique in its layout and is located about 1km from the main harbour. We were greeted straight away when we walked in and even though we arrived at 12 lunch time they had a room ready for us. The staff were very friendly and very helpful, even when I thought I had lost my keys I was pleased to find someone had handed them in for me at reception. Breakfast was continental as well as eggs, bacon, beans, mushrooms and even porridge. We only ate twice in the evening as we always venture out around Paphos but the evening food was very nice as well. They have a menu for the week set out in reception so you can plan ahead if need be. We are not pool people so the size of the pool was not a concern and parking is on the road behind the main building if you are hiring a car. Overall a very nice place Brett paisley

Ingrid was rude and did not recognize our reservation throught booking.com and charged us extra despite us having in writing that we would not be charged. Rooms do not have coffee or tea or a kettle. Really overall poor experience.

Quite affordable one and it has good service. The receptionist lady was nice and full of smile. The breakfast was absolutely good, you can find all of basic breakfast foods and sitting next to the pool will make the feeling perfect. Unfortunately the flush of closet in our room was a bit strange because we need to wait a lot to flush down. The balcony makes our room perfect and it is also close to Kings avenue mall if you need something then you just jump in there and also not too far to the harbour and harbour bus station. Overall our stay in here was amazing.

One of the best experiences I've had in a hotel. The staff was friendly and helpful. When asked, gave me a wall outlet adapter for the stay without any extra charges. The hotel is located 5-10 minute walk away from a shopping center. In a hotel there is a swimming pool, a pool table, breakfast, bar and everything comes at a low price (the pool is like 3-5โ‚ฌ). Very happy with the stay!

The hotel design is very unique and is all over, also in the small details inside the room and in the common area. The breakfast is rich and sitting outside by the poor is very refreshing. Unfortunately, breakfast doesn't include a vegan option. The spa is great. It is recommended to reserve a treatment ahead.

Hotel is in the very center, close to restaurants, huge shopping mall and within walking distance from the archeological site. Design is weird but fun. True Russian place. There was a lot of dirt in our room (e.g. hairs in the bathroom and spider webs on the balcony). Breakfast was great, a lot of choices. Overall, good value for money.

They say is a 3 star hotel, but I really like, so for me I felt like 4 star. Staff is nice and helpful. Location is great besides is not beach view. I would like more sun into pool, but is also nice like you are into Oasis!

Top position to stay in Paphos and to move to other places, good balance price/services The place is very particular and very Greek! I think that could be more clean and maybe bathroom need a restyling.. but if you need to stay a couple of night in Paphos, I suggest it

The hotel looks lovely with its Roman theme to it and elegant posters all round but that's as far as it goes. It is a dump and needs urgent refurbishment as the bathroom is old and very poor for any hotel of this calibre. Plastic toilet seat, a flush that doesn't work, the shower rail is broken and the plastic chair on the balcony which looks onto a wall should be rattan there days. You cannot get a Latte or Cappuccino at the bar or in the dining room which is very poor and the waiter even stopped me from filling up a small bottle of water from the machine. How petty as we had to pay the entire fee for the hotel and our little dog before we could even see the room. Check in was fine and the staff were helpful

Quirky Geek theme with a Roman name? Ready to walk into abundance of mirrors. Staff were great. Pool area is a real oasis of calm in a busy area. You wouldn't know there tourist area was outside.

Roman decor, beautifully presented. Our bathroom was very dated, plastic toilet seat, basic shower. Only one English channel on the TV. Very good breakfast. Staff friendly.

Lovely unique hotel, very friendly staff, everywhere clean and tidy. Very nice food with lots of choice. Pool area small but beaufully set amongst lots of plants with plenty of shade. Spacious room with huge bed, air conditioning and usual facilities. Very good location, close to beach, shops, harbour and bars. A very pleasant surprise, better than expected for the price. Would definately return.

If your on the ground floor by the pool in the evening the hotel staff put tables and chairs outside all the balcony areas,,,, so if you want to relax and chill out on yiur balcony,, you can't, because someone is on the opposite side eating there lunch,,,, its really uncomfortable. But the rooms are clean, aircon good, beds very comfortable.

  • 4/5 Mireille R. 2 years ago on Google
It's a real scenery hotel, not comparable to anything else. So that is the real plus, as well as the lovely pool with it's lush vegetation and its location: close enough to walk to the harbor, next to the giant mall where you can get anything you need but still in a quiet area so no exterior noise at night. On the downside: the maintenance is failing a bit. We had a broken airco system, badly flushing toilet, several seals in the bathroom were coming off, the bathroom tiles had mould traces and the room was not as clean as it should have been. And the bed is way too hard, so if you have hip issues you really need to bring a top mattress. They can provide the room with one but that one is way too thin to bring comfort. And the lamps next to the bed lacks shades, which is really annoying!

Amazing hotel! Though it is definitely a bit old, it is still an amazing place to spend your vacation in. The interior looks like David Lynch dream, if he would be a Cypriot. The staff is amazing and very helping, our room had amazing seaview and a balcony. The food is alright, but so is all Cypriot food, so we were definitely glad that we had breakfast + dinner type of accommodation.
