Wonderful hotel, particularly suited for families with children. The facility boasts 4 diverse pools catering to both kids and adults, with options for indoor and outdoor swimming. Evening performances offer delightful entertainment, and there’s a dedicated kids’ club to keep the little ones engaged. One of the standout features is its direct access to the coastal promenade, leading to public beaches that are open for everyone, not just hotel guests. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and highly recommend it for families with children.

Myself and my husband chose this hotel to get married in, and my god are we glad we did. This was, by far, the most exquisite hotel we have ever visited. The place was simply beautiful inside and out, the service from the staff was unlike anything we've ever experienced!! The attention to detail in every aspect of our stay was second to none. The wedding day itself was absolutely perfect, try as I might, I cannot fault one single thing. The team did absolutely everything we asked for with perfect execution. We're not normally people that visit the same place twice, but we will be making an exception for Alexander the Great!!!

I didn't stay here but attended a wedding. The hotel was absolutely beautiful and the waiting staff were excellent! The wedding was so well organised and everywhere was decorated beautifully. The bride & groom told me that their hotel room was lovely and as was the food.

A super hotel !! Check-in was super fast, the room was clean and smelled fresh, the beds were comfy and there was complimentary fruit and water. It's amaizing how perfectly located it is. On the beach front, a short walk from restaurants and shops and a water sports place nearby. Breakfast was great with something for everyone. The swimming pool was fantastic with a bar in the pool offering beer, cocktails, fruit juice and sodas. The adjacent restaurant offers a nice lunch selection, all freshly made and tasty. We had refreshing drinks at the bar, there too everything was cool and relaxing, the fruit smoothies were delicious. Checkout was fast and easy too. This is an excellent hotel, with wonderful facilities, a great location and most of all, friendly, smiling & helpful staff. Definitley can't wait to go back !!

Great location , great staff (apart from a couple ) but my goodness it needs a bit of an update. The hotel is clean & staff work hard making sure that it is. The staff I. Alexander’s Bar, Garibaldi & 7 Orchids Restaurants deserve a special mention! They are fabulous and the service they offer is second to none! The rooms are tired and very dated. The food (apart from the Garibaldi & 7 Orchids restaurants ) is dreadful …. Cold, unappealing & lacking in flavour and quality. Breakfast is good though. They have a dress code which is not applied consistently (also Jet2 information about this is not correct) It may have been good in its day but Alexander certainly isn’t so great anymore! I finally understand now why there are so many perfect reviews ….. I’ve been offered half price accommodation & room upgrade if I remove my review on trip advisor ! Myself and several guest were wondering why the reviews were so glowing when there were clearly issues that guest had. I’ve declined the offer …… it’s disgraceful

Liked · The private pool was nice although not as "private" as I thought it would be. The bathroom was very nice with a large shower and separate tub. Honestly the best thing we encountered at this establishment was the young lady at the hospitality desk. She booked our taxi ride for us and was just as friendly as could be. The location was excellent. We were able to walk to different shops and restaurants within a couple of blocks. I would say this was not a location for a "younger" crowd. It might have been the season, but I would guess 90% of the clientele were 75+. We were a bit on the young side. Disliked · The room was just a basic hotel room. For the price I expected better. I have stayed in much better hotels for far less money. One very annoying thing was the very small fridge. I took a couple of bottles of beer out of the mini bar so I could put in a couple of drinks I had. The next day I was interrupted by a staff member when I was sunbathing solely to bring me a note stating that I was not allowed to remove items from the mini fridge. I found it highly insulting since I only removed a couple of bottles that I fully intended to put back upon checkout. Nothing perishable was taken out. Also, on the first full day there, we left the room around 10:30, we put the "please makeup room" sign out. We did not return until late in the afternoon and our room had not been cleaned. The pleasant lady that came to turn our sheets down for the night took our trash out for us. I found the front desk staff a bit snobby. I felt a bit judged when checking in and out. Being from the USA, I think they had preconceived notions about us. Mind you, we were staying in one of their most expensive rooms, so not sure why they looked down their nose at us.

Hotel is located right on the beach. Really close to bars and restaurants. The hotel itself has a great bar and great restaurants. Staff are all extremely helpful and always chat when passing. Swimming pools are big and clean. Allocated sunbeds is an extra added bonus. It's great not having to get up early and try find a sunbed. Great kids club that has a lot of activities through the week.

Alexander The great is a fabulous hotel the rooms are immaculately clean and the beds are one of the comfiest I've ever slept in. The whole of the hotel including all of the public toilets are so clean. The food is excellent. On arrival we were given a drink and a cold buffet plate as the restaurants had closed. The next day we chose our sunbeds and our room number is placed onto the umbrella so they are ours for the duration of our holiday, so no need to rush down early to save a sunbed. The staff are so friendly and we had a great laugh with them all. To name a few who were amazing were Joanna, Zenia, Lisa George, Amelia and Maria. I know I have missed out some names but they were all so lovely and helpful they couldn't do enough for us. Thank you Alexander the Great for making our holiday in Paphos so wonderful and especially making our Ruby Wedding Anniversary one to remember. It's a 5* rating from us.

A group of us stayed here at the end of July for my sons wedding. What a lovely hotel. Rooms are very well kept, very clean. Added bonus that they supply you with clean beach/pool towels every day. Breakfast plenty of choice. Staff couldn’t be more helpful. Lovely pools and added bonus that you get allocated your sunbeds when you get there. A big thank you to James in the top bar. What a lovely friendly lad. Thank you Alexandra the Great for making our stay so lovely. We will be back.

What a fantastic hotel! We came to Cyprus for our wedding and was recommended to stay here and the recommendations was spot on the hotel and staff just didn’t disappoint! We had a sea view room which made every morning just that little bit more exciting for our little one. And to finish every night with a visit to the bar and a great laugh with James and the other bar staff! Will definitely be going back!!

Our stay at the hotel was the best stay we have ever had at any hotel ever. The staff were amazing, the food was brilliant, the activities were decent. Location of the hotel is great. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and are so happy with our experience. We just wished we booked another week!!! The only thing that let it down was the evening shows, the girls and boys were great! But it just needs and update. For example the 50s to 90s throw back hits, where is the 2000's and 2010s there still throwbacks.

Very good hotel. Top food and customer service. We had our 2 daughters with us. Lady in the restaurant was a bit old fashioned when it came to dress code. Lady's could go in to eat with flip flops on but men couldn't. The entertainment was top notch, Ashley loved our kids as did the rest of the team. We would recommend this place in the summer as the sea is right at the back of the hotel. 🔥 👋 🌊

We had our wedding at Alexander the great beach hotel and we must say it was one of the best experiences in our lives. The people, the service, the flexibility and the care was precious. We had an excellent room with a view of the sea and hotel swimming pools. Accommodating, friendly staff who cannot do too much for you. Plenty of good food with a great variety. Outdoor pools plus an Indoor swimming pool. Access to the public beach. Water sports activities available nearby. I have spoken to number of people who rate the hotel very highly and have been coming for years.

Overall a very good and clean hotel, with an excellent location, stunning sea view (that is the side to choose, worth the extra money) and professional services in all public areas. Head of restaurant management lady is a true professional, management of restaurants is world class, she is doing a fantastic job with her team. If you want sg. negative, the air-conditioning system should be refurbished, because the system is too loud, it is even disturbing at night but could not be switched off as without AC it is unbearably hot even at night (mid August stay).

This is a fantastic hotel. The position is great right on the beach but not too far a walk to the harbour bars and restaurants. The rooms are cleaned every day, tea/coffee restocked and beach towels replaced. The pools are beautiful, warm and clean. What we really liked was when you arrive you get to choose your sun loungers with the position and view you want and they are yours for the entire holiday, nobody else uses them.So, no having to get up early to stake your claim!

Not a 4 star hotel. This is a 5 star hotel. Extremely friendly staff,sensationally presented hotel,great rooms with stunning views and a breakfast to die for. One of the best 4 star hotels I've stayed at anywhere in the world and I've stayed at a lot..

My friend and I had planned to staying at the Olympic Lagoon on an All Inclusive basis. We were moved to the Alexander the Great, and were offered a similar package. As All Inclusive isn’t the norm, there was some confusion on the first day, but after a quick chat, every was explained and rectified. The staff were attentive and helpful. Bar staff were impeccable. I will be returning for another stay

Such wonderful staff. From the cleaners all the way to the managers. They ALL made us feel as if we were family. Our wishes were more important than their own daily life. I am returning home to Wales feeling very humbled by all in Cyprus. σας ευχαριστώ

We stayed in Cyprus for a one-week hiking and sightseeing tour in January 2023 and stayed at this hotel. Except for one day, you always got a parking space without any problems. The hotel is highly recommended. The staff is very friendly and the food varied and very good. We had a room with sea view. The indoor pool is also very nice for children in winter. The room and everything else was very clean.

Lovely hotel, very clean and with incredibly good staff. We went at a busy time but the hotel never felt crowded. The allocation of sun loungers is a very nice touch and stops the early morning rush that so often happens at other hotels. The three à la carte restaurants on site were exceptional for hotel restaurants. I will definitely be coming back again.

Superb. I was happy with everything at the Alexander the Great hotel - excellent quality of food, proactive in all areas and the best of all? The hotel offers free PCR tests in order to comply with travel policy (which is a huge huge hassle and inconvenience) but the hotel made this process so much easier - so I will never forget the service and convenience I experienced.

Lovely comfortable hotel although it could use some updating such as walk in showers. Amazing staff you felt were really trying to make your holiday great. Great position and grounds. Entertainment not up to the standard of the rest of the hotel

Beautiful location and wonderful staff. Good vegetarian food in the buffet selection - I stayed full board for 9 nights and was very happy with almost every meal. Rooms were good but the sound insulation wasn't great, especially if you get an adjoining room (luckily I had mostly quiet neighbors), some parts could also use an upgrade (like the fridge working!). One of the nicest hotels I've stayed in though, really enjoyed the gym (free weights up to 20kg with running machines overlooking the pool/sea) and the sauna :)

What a fantastic hotel. Food was great, you have your own sunbeds allocated. The staff cannot do enough for you and are so friendly. Will be going back again next year.

I would describe this hotel as sedate. Not one to go to if you require loads of noise and entertainment. There is entertainment in the evening performed by the entertainment staff. No scramble for sunbeds as they are allocated to you when you get there, this makes for a very pleasant stay with no worries about getting a sunbed if you want a lie in! The hotel is slightly dated but none the worse for that. Very clean in all areas and pleasant staff. Went on half board plus basis which gives bed breakfast and evening meal plus tea and coffee facilities in room and at dinner water plus a soft drink or beer or glass of wine. The breakfasts were very good with plenty of choices. Evening meal had a different cuisine each day as well as other options. The evening food was ok- basically the usual hotel fare. It was about a 20 minute stroll into paphos.

The staff are always helpful and cheerful especially at the pool bar. The food is great in the buffet as well as the fabulous seven orchids and Garibaldi Restaurants. Sunbeds allocated to you for your stay, no towels at dawn. Comfortable bed, clean and tidy rooms. Great location. We have already been here twice and would not hesitate to return. Well done Alexander the Great.

Simply wonderful hotel. Staff are amazing and food is incredible. Lovely position in Paphos bay with a nice little harbour beach to swim in, or pools if you don't want the sea. Lots for kids to do with an events team running events day and night.

The staff was very friendly and helpful, our daughter really enjoyed the kids club...Great food and drinks...the dinner at seven orchids Panasian restaurant was a wonderful culinary experience... everything clean and tidy, housekeepers did their jobs indeed, room's are well equipped... We appreciate the sunbed allocation system, it's very comfortable...The pool's were nice and clean. Good location right next to the beach. We enjoyed our stay very much. Highly recommend to everyone.

The themed restaurants are good. Breakfast and lunch are adequate. Evening meal is very poor. The presentation is very off putting There is never any fresh fruit and most vegetables are frozen. Bananas cut in half. Hot food is cold. Not what one expects fro. A 4* hotel. Over all could do mu h better.

Very good hotel, the staff does everything to make you feel comfortable. Good rooms, lots of sunbeds, no need to think about how to come early so that they are enough. A variety of swimming pools, with a jacuzzi, under the roof. There is an adult-only area so the kids don't bother you. But most importantly very friendly staff.

Great service by staff. Facilities of hotel are very good. Need a bench at entrance as waiting area & bus timetable would help. Rooms need refurbishment. Good but expected better.

Great place to stay. Rooms checked at least 2-3 times per day, with turndown service . Regular replacement of towels. Missed dinner first night,Kate flight. Got a complimentary lunch. Nice touch. Assigned sunbeds, so none of that towels on the sunbed nonsense. Food very good standard with lots of choice. Love pools and kid friendly.

What a delightful experience. We arrived for my son's birthday, and the staff made the celebration one to be remembered for years to come. A huge thank you! When a need arised, someone was always there with a smile to help. Beautiful views and dining experiences. Perfectly clean and manicured areas and beachfront. And, as mentioned, simply lovely service. Highly recommended!

Everything that could go wrong happened in our holiday. We arrived okay. But our first night was terrible, air-condition needs to be overhauled, very dusty. There were poor communication within their staff. One staff charging us different from the other. We were suffocating on our first night. Was too hot. No employees would even bother to communicate on what to expect upon first contact. Second day, the same employee who had been working within the company for 20 years. Who had been consistently making mistake since day one took 272 euros out from my card which was dubbed by management as an innocent mistake. Imagine an employee who had been with the company for 20 years who had been consistently making a mistake consecutive days? You would wonder what other “mistakes” he could have done. Third day was the disaster. The guest relation officer transferred us to a room promising that we will have both air conditioning and heating initially telling us that she wasn’t aware that we need heating on a time that even the pool within their company was heated due to the season. There were loads of inconsistencies that I would more than welcome prove. I have communicated the same to the company. Not to mention that their front desk officer was argumentative and downright disrespectful knowing that his employee made the mistakes I am trying to prove. Which was proved at the end as their employee’s fault.

Great location and coastal walk to Port v enjoyable. Hotel staff v polite and extremely competent. The food was unimaginative and in all dining rooms never v hot and puddings looked good but were all rather similar and no outstanding taste. Hotel spotlessly clean and indoor pool area lovely. Piped music everywhere and evening entertainments disappointing. I would not stay there again.

Service is very friendly and everything is clean. The food has a good quality. I really like that you can choose between 4 restaurants. I also like that it is directly at the beach and you can do nice walks. We will come back another time.

nicely located hotel with friendly staff. the rooms are spacious, modern and clean, but in the rooms facing the street it can be quite loud at night. we highly recommend booking a room facing the sea. the breakfast buffet is fantastic and even picky eaters will find something they like. the restaurant has a different themed buffet everynight as well as an a la card menu. we found the restaurant to be a bit dark, however that might be different during the summertime (we stayed there in april). the pool location is fantastic and there is a public beach right in front of the hotel. all in all a very nice hotel!!!

1st time at The Alexander the Great which l cannot praise highly enough. The management and staff could'nt do enough for us, the hygiene was excellent and covid policy 1st class. The food was top class as was the entertainment. We would recommend the Alex without hesitation so much so we have booked again for November 2022.

If you are thinking of coming to this hotel - do not hesitate! We are currently staying at the hotel and cannot fault anything. The staff are very friendly and helpful and there are plenty of them. The hotel has a lovely atmosphere. As for the food it is excellent, the best I have seen on a hotel buffet and a very comfortable dining room. There’s also the choice of different restaurants doing Asian, Greek & Italian food. Our room was spotless and so is the rest of the hotel. We would definitely come back.

I got married here in the 27.10.21 and I couldn’t have picked a better place. This hotel is the hotel that just keeps giving. The staff were incredibly so friendly and helpful, the little touches that added to our special day for example our Mr and Mrs pillows and our champagne breakfast in bed was Amazing! They even remembered my husbands birthday and gave us champagne to drink in the morning at breakfast and a small gift in the room. The location is also perfect too. Our wedding coordinator was very professional and helpful and made sure our day ran smoothly. We are already making plans to come again on our anniversary. Love this place ❤️

Had 3 nights here. It is a FANTASTIC hotel. Our room has one of the best sea views ever. All the bars and restaurants are great. The staff are pretty unbelievable!! Nothing is any trouble to anyone. It was a special anniversary for my wife and I. We were treated so wonderfully. Glasses of champagne at breakfast, a bottle of same in our room in the afternoon. I asked for flowers to the room as a surprise and they were lovely. Cannot wait to come back.

This hotel has been the best we have ever stayed at. The staff are superb including management who go above and beyond to make sure your stay is the best, nothing a problem. The hotel is modern comfortable and very relaxing with excellent facilities and superb range of food including speciality restaurants. Situation is great for the beach and the harbour. We will definitely be back.

After an amazing 12 nights, on our 9th visit, the "Alex" really is like a home from home. Everybody is very welcoming and the Hotel is still the one to beat.

We are in our last couple of days here and have to say we have not in our past experience been looked after as much as we have in this hotel. It’s been my wife’s birthday whilst being here, the whole staff have made her feel so special, not once but the days before, on the day and the today the day after. Absolutely overwhelmed with the genuine love offered to us. Thank you to all the staff at this wonderful hotel. 347.

Great experience at this hotel. Absolutely top class service. Nothing is too much for them. Our overall experience was so good, and we liked Paphos and Cyprus that much as a destination (great weather and food and people) we will be back again. It's going to be our 1st and only go to autumn and winter Destination. Note this place is not for all if you want more younger crowd, or for big groups, but great for young family or couple and brill for over 55s. We were happy to mingle still and for us it was nice, plenty space, quiet, convenient location for beach harbour area and as a base to explore. The hotel were very family friendly also, and we were able to rent a pram/buggy for toddler at 5euro a day. A the staff around hotel whether at reception, check in/out, baggage, porters, cleaning, housekeeping, restaurant staff Inc chefs were always happy/smiley and most importantly helpful and provide 5star service. The rooms were very clean and a good size, ours was a 1st floor corner room just above and left of the restaurant cafe royal where you had breakfast. From there we had sea and pool views across the hotel, the stage where they did entertainment, and onto the sea/beach, and the castle. Imho although not the largest rooms going it was an excellent choice and we lucked out. Probably go for the same again. Pool service and bar and restaurant was great place for snacks and food at lunch. Extra cost.
