Honestly I did not enjoyed my staying at Dionysos, very outdated room, uncomfortable bed and on top of that loud music from clubs near by until 3 in the morning. Once I wanted to cancel my second night because of the noise the manager got very defensive and start yell at me! Honestly if a manger act like that I advise you not to stay at this hotel and find something else, well not worth the money. The breakfast was good and the receptionists were nice. If you don’t care about the noise and bellow average rooms maybe you will enjoy it.

The location is great, close to the shore, restaurants, clubs. The rooms are designed well. Soundproof windows, which helps when you have restaurants with live music across the street. Some have bathtubs. It's a bit of a strange choice, though, that the bathroom doors are made of glass. The breakfast is varying to a degree, but for many parts lacks the taste and a proper structure. We settled for the most for Greek yogurt with honey. Cleaning is mostly good. We once had a cockroach in the room - I'd like to stress that it wasn't the hotel's fault, it came from outside, and they can't control the nature around the building 😀 So I smashed it in the morning, and the corpse was taken during the cleaning, and they sprayed some pesticide, but there were two spots remaining where it was flattened. Now about the service. In one of our rooms the sewers were stinking after one takes a shower. This problem was reported to the reception. First time they poured something, this didn't help. We complained again, and they sent a maintaince guy. This helped a bit, but didn't eliminate the smell. Further complaints didn't do anything either. So we wanted to talk to the manager, which only happened on the check out day. He said that it was essentially our problem. Then we tried to retrieve a written confirmation of our complaints to pass the case to our travel agency. He started yelling, getting closer by the minute, and threatening to call the police. Unfortunately, they never came. But the travel agency took over the case, we're waiting for the resolution. Out of 4 reception persons and one manager only two seemed friendly. I'd say, the service level should be way better.

We have booked direct at the hotel when we have arrived at Paphos which we got a good price with breakfast. Our room didn't had the best views, as we were overlooking a builders yard, but the interior was good and the bathroom was recently renovated. The room was big and airying and had everything we needed. For breakfast they had both continental and hot buffet which it had everything we needed. We didn't use the pool, buu it looked clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly.

I loved staying here. Fabulous buffet breakfast. Beautiful hotel pool. 100m from municipal sea swimming area with alfresco showers. Right in the centre of the best restaurants. The view from our room was spectacular. 0

This hotel was a really good find! From the minute we arrived we felt the warm hospitality of the front desk staff. They were so helpful and accommodating. The main lounge of the hotel was very cozy for the cold weekend we were there. There was a really nice fire place that kept us warm! The location of this hotel cannot be beat, you are literally in the center of it all. There is a great tavern right across the street that had delicious drinks and a wonderful atmosphere. The hotel also helped arrange a very early morning taxi for us to the airport. If we ever come back to Paphos, Dionysos will be our choice!

Incredible hotel! Incredibly cheap but doesn't feel cheap at all. The reception is grand and the receptionist is always friendly and greets you in your native tongue. Rooms are clean and comfortable, with spectacular views, even the ones not facing the sea! The breakfast is good with a wide range. Evening meals are amazing! A full 4 course meal, daily, not once did we leave hungry, and the selection made us look forward to it daily. The photos don't do it justice! Will definitely go back.

Great hotel with a fantastic location. Rooms were clean, the air-conditioning was certainly needed and good availability of sunloungers when we visited. The place does need a bit of maintenance though and the breakfast looked like the cheapest ingredients available.

Great price for large and clean apartment. Breakfast was delicious. Disadvantage was the noise from the local club people mentioned here. Not the reason for bad review, just make sure to take earplugs for your comfort.

This is a good hotel, good breakfast and quite comfty. Please be aware of one thing, the hotel is in a very good location "central" close to everything, but there are few discotecs nerby, therefore it is very noisy till 2 am.

The room was really basic. The bed was not comfortable. The refrigerator in the room made a lot of noise. The staff was really friendly and helpful. The hotel is situated in the center of Paphos close to the restaurants, bars, sea and beach.

Hotel is perfectly located just at the sea side promenade. Staff is very friendly and helpful, rooms are nice and clean. Lobby is nice and cozy. Breakfast is quite decent. We got the room with the pool side even we booked the other side. I also got gift from the staff management for my birthday which was very nice surprise. They can also book you excursions from the front desk. Recommended!

5* staff, welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Breakfast had something for everyone, from fried stuff to fruit, and was good quality. The hotel has nice decor and is well-located, just a short walk from the bus station, the harbour, and great restaurants nearby. My room was a decent size with a nice balcony overlooking the beautiful courtyard. I'd happily stay here again.

Marvelous experience ! Close to everywhere you want to go (clubs area) but far from the mall and the city of Paphos. Great interior, service, pool. The main issue is this hotel is not ACCESSIBLE, many stairs, the lift is far, a lot of leveling which means a lot of stairs. Marvelous in general but a lot of STAIRS.

Location is very good, close to the sea, shops and restaurants. Rooms are okay, nothing special. Air condition worked like it should. Breakfast is okay for a week, there is something for everyone. Also the waiters in the morning are very fast and polite. The pool water gets quite warm in the sunshine but there are enough deck chairs for everybody. The ladies working in the reception were very kind and helpful. We only had issues with the older man who works there during the night. We found cockroaches in our room and went to ask for help, he was very rude and blamed us for the problem. I think it is not our problem that insects show up in our room. He just told us to ”kill it, it’s not dangerous”. It is not appropiate to yell at your customers. There are bars close to one side of the hotel so some rooms, including ours, can get quite loud during the night. It didn’t bother us, but I recommend bringing earplugs if you are a light sleeper.

The flies when having breakfast and while lying around the pool. Apparently there's no policy to wipe tables down after someone has eaten their breakfast. Also staff doing jobs around the pool while trying to relax things like washing pavements and using a power washer on the trees that over hang the breakfast tablets. There was no bar open you had the use of the Royal bar but no staff coming round asking if you would like a drink while at the pool. There was no buffet for evening meal yet there was at breakfast, so did not understand the reason why not. Reception staff were brilliant very helpful. The deluxe rooms are not deluxe, they have started to refurbish some of the rooms but they are charging refurbished prices for rooms that have not been done. Lounge beds and umbrellas split and worn and dirty nothing outside seems to have been cleaned. I understand because of covid staff were not at full capacity but because of covid the level of hygiene should have been 100% better than it normally is. It is pretty central to shop and cafe but if your disabled this hotel would not suit you. I would NOT go back to this hotel.

The hotel is a 2 minute walk from the beach and the rooms are clean, well equipped, and blissfully air conditioned. The breakfasts were plentiful and their connecting restaurant was friendly, tasty, and with a very appealing happy hour. Despite being close to quite a few beaches, I couldn't resist the convenience of their pool with plenty of lounging and sunbathing spaces. My favourite part of the hotel was Santa, the receptionist. She was incredibly helpful and recommended a lot of tours to help us make the most of our trip. She was chatty, kind, and as I was leaving she even gave me a book to read on the plane as I had finished my holiday reading too early.

The hotel is centrally located. Lots of bars close by but the adjoining Bistro provided excellent service, good food reasonably priced. There are a lot of steps which people may need to keep in mind. The breakfast was fine. We stayed 2 weeks and had no issues with choices. Staff throughout Dionysos were brilliant. Our room was in the annex. Yes, we heard the disco at the rear but it caused us no problems. The room was large and cleaned daily. Toiletries replenished daily. Super service.

We really enjoyed our stay here.. The hotel staff were excellent!..The room was very clean . It was a lovely surprise to see some fresh fruit and a bottle of wine on our arrival.. The location was great. There is no beach close by but the pool is perfect...We would definitely stay here again if we came back to Paphos. Thanks to everyone at the Dionysos for making our holidsy so nice...

First special thanks to Valentina from the reception, she is professional beyond normal. The hotel has two buildings, I have been in both. In the 2nd the beds are harder and charging mobile devices takes ages. Also the far end of the second is close to two bars, there has been extremely loud music from 7:30 pm till at least 2 am, and it is February, fortunately my ear plugs were good enough. The breakfast is good. Nice small pool.

This is a beautiful and well located family run hotel within meters of restaurants, bars, shops and the sea. There was a good selection of food at breakfast and dinner, the dessert choices weren’t very good (usually sponge cake or processed mousse/jelly), however there was always fresh fruit available. There was a complimentary bottle of wine and fruit bowl in our room. The staff were extremely friendly and attentive, especially the dining waiters. The outdoor area is lovely with a decent sized pool and large terrace for sunbathing. Great view of the pool and sea from our balcony. Would definitely stay here again if I visit in the future!

Wonderful location. Near everything. Hotel very comfortable, fruit and wine in the room. Great breakfast although breakfast room busy and cramped for space at times. There are a lot of steps everywhere which is difficult with suitcases but overall a great hotel

Enjoying my stay at Dionysos! All very nicely decorated. Contrary to some other reviews I like the transparent windows to the bathrooms. What I would do if I stayed again would be to pay more for a room with a sea view or even a garden / pool view. Of course this means the views are nicer than the cheaper back rooms that face a car park but also the clubs behind the hotel so there is quite a lot of music noise at night. On the other hand if you don't mind that you can save money with the cheaper price! All very clean, good selection for continental and cooked breakfast but would also like to see fresh orange and real coffee at the breakfast. Fantastic location near the seafront. Lovely lobby with sofas allowing socialisation. I recommend staying here!

Perfect price and value combination. Very kind staff, which greets you every morning in your native language. Rooms cleaned every day. Our was with Seaview, so it really had the direct view to the sea. Big pool. Location 5/5 - everything is near (beach, restaurants, services). I think due to covid and lack of tourists, the breakfast menu was a bit narrow, but tasty. Good luck Dionysos! ;)

This is one of the best hotels in Pafos, located close to the harbor, with clean rooms, and very friendly staff. Santa- one of the staff members, was especially extremely helpful and resourceful, she helped us settle in as we had to emergency checkout of another hotel as the living conditions there were unlivable. She told us about attractions in the area, and was extremely helpful with all the little details, and got us even some perks! The rooms are very clean and the cleaning staff is there everyday up-keeping the property. The hotel is conveniently located close to the harbor and some historical sites such as Nea Pafos and Tomb of the Kings are only 30 minute walk. Overall, I would highly recommend staying here when visiting Pafos, our stay here was absolutely perfect! Once again I want to give a shout out to Santa for helping us with everything from checkin to checkout and is probably one of the nicest receptionists I’ve ever met!

Excellent hotel Dionysos Central Hotel has got a perfect location just in the heart of the city, ·100 meters from the sea and boulevard From the moment I arrived all staff were excellent. At the reception the girls -Nadia and Olga were so courteous, warm, and attentive. Everything was first class as you would expect. The hotel facilities were very beautiful. Breakfast was superb. Covid rules are very well applied. The bed and the bath were extremely comfortable. Thank you for an amazing time. I strongly recommend the hotel.

Well located, most places in walking distance. Friendly and welcoming staff. Many rooms have been refurbished, the bathroom in our room is very modern. The only downside is the amount of steps due to the hotel being on a hill.

We stayed at the Dyonisos Hotel in Paphos for three nights. We were extremely well received! The girls at the reception are very nice, especially the blonde with the green eyes. We had a cocktail at the restaurant bar and we felt really good. Breakfast is very good and varied. Even I, being vegan, had something to eat. And here we were treated wonderfully. Located close to the center, close to the sea, extraordinarily clean in the room, the hotel and restaurant. They have a very nice inner courtyard where you can have breakfast, an outbuilding with equally beautiful rooms, with park and garden. Our stay was very pleasant, quiet and relaxing. We are really thinking of returning to Paphos soon, also here in Dyonisos. It deserve all the appreciation. Congratulations, wonderful people!

The Hotel is situated close to all aminities Very clean an helpful staff The room was cleaned everyday and fresh coffee, tea and milk left to provide your own hot drinks The mela wer what you get at most 3* hotels but the services by the staff were outstanding The only faults I could find were that the sunbeds around the pool itself from 8/8.30 had towels pegged to them and were vacant until midday It reminds me of the old days when it was said the Germans get up early peg the towels to the sunbeds and don't arrive until the afternoon I think the Hotel needs to look at this because it's a shame for the disabled who have to climb stairs to get to the sunbeds at the higher level. I would imagine in the summer it would cause problems if people done this and denied others the privalidge of sitting ouound the pool if they were disabled. It would be nice if the Hotel could reserve a spot by the pool for disabled people only or would remove the towels if unuse after an hour. Like most decent hotels do Just a shame that some people are selfish and don't think of the disabled or infirm. I would go back again in the summer but the thought of not getting a sunbed because of selfish people puts me off .

100% love this hotel with perfect location, has good breakfast good pool and polite staff, various style rooms, we has room 213 which gave us a nice view towards the church and sea from the balcony, we celebrated our wedding anniversary there and are returning to celebrate wifes 61st birthday. Prices are very good and at this time if you are a permanent resident you can get a reduction in cost, Treat yourself to a long weekend.

Our 1st visit to Cyprus and we weren't disappointed, hotel is in a very central location. Close to the harbour and short walk to the beech, lots of restaurants and bars within short walking distance. Lovely hotel that we would recommend and certainly would stay there again. Staff very friendly and welcoming and always happy to help.

The staff are great, hotel is great, all great EXCEPT!!!...the venue across the road is a joke, if you are wanting a peaceful location then forget this place. Sadly they play the music at FULL VOLUME over the road until 2am. Booming through the double glazed door all night long. Shame as apart from that it's a great hotel.☹️

Lovely room (105) sea glimpses, quiet and refurbished. I only booked B&B as most people had said food not up to scratch. Breakfast was edible but not overly exciting. I had fresh fruit and some onion concoction most days. Tea was awful and luckily Cafe Nero opposite where I could get a decent tea. Hotel location was excellent for shops, restaurant and beach. None of that ridiculous thing where you lug your case half way round the world and then some porter wants a tip for taking it to a lift and into your room ! Overall would recommend this hotel.

This hotel is in a great location everything you need is within walking distance, I arrived late and Santa at the front desk was so lovely and welcoming and very helpful all through my stay. The hotel staff are great my room was cleaned everyday. I will definitely be going back to this little gem of a find in Paphos

We have just returned from a 16 night stay at Dionysos and must say everything was exceptional across the board..the staff from reception to cleaning to dining to maintenance really made it somewhere we will want to come again. All staff were great but a special thank you to Santa at reception for being so profesional and welcoming with her ever present warm smile and so much fun, Christian and Pamela so professional and welcoming at breakfast, and Nelli for doing such a great job cleaning our room....speaking of our room, the bed was so comfortable, great seaview and close to everything.LOVE this place and God willing we will be back in 2 years.

  • 5/5 Andrew W. 1 year ago on Google
Great hotel with friendly staff and in an excellent location, close to restuarants and bars, the harbour is a short stroll away, our room with air con was good, breakfast was ok. The pool is fine, however the race for the sun beds has crept in here with some people getting up at 4 to place their towels, on our last day one couple put towels on their loungers at 06:15, but didn't appear until 14:45, you can hire towels to use by the pool for 1 euro for the duration of your stay. late check out is dependant on availability. Overall a great place to stay and we'd stay there again in the future.
