Nice place ! Very authentic and delicious food…. Also the design of the place accompanied by local music further enhanced the experience… We enjoyed very much, it was delicious. Recommend!

Incredible atmosphere, amazing tastes and a great memory for Paphos. We went for a meat plate (lamb ribs, chicken, pork), and it was an amazing experience. This is a family business, and you can see and feel that they do care about the quality of anything they do and serve. Highly recommended!

While walking around I've seen Taverna Picnic. I've decided to come the next day. But since it was Monday, the place was closed. And today is Tuesday, so I came for dinner :) I wanted to try seafood and have chosen Calamari willed with... Octopus. All food is prepared on open fire. My was very delicious! Grilled eggplants, red pepper, mushrooms, cherry tomatoes, all cooked to perfection! If you are not big eater (like me), you probably won't be able to eat everything. But you can take the rest away and enjoy it the next day. P.S. it can become quite busy after 9 pm, so maybe come earlier :) Oh, and if you are looking for a tourist trap - it ain't here :) So, it is my last night in Paphos. And guess what - I came back to enjoy another delicious meal! This time it was Mix platter for one. Again big portion. I think it could be enough for 2 people. But if you are hungry it is the right size for you :)

Amazing food and the style. You will be surprised to discover that food looks X10 times better than in menu. The taste is amazing and it is served on hot plates! If you are a tourist or a resident this place is definitely a recommend! The design is authentic and simple, but it is more than enough 10/10 value for money and atmosphere!

Without doubt best grilled meat and vegetables we have ever ate ! Prices very good for such amount of quality food! The tavern is not in a tourist area, but it's definitely worth detouring and enjoying freshly baked food! Top recommendations!

A unique Tavern, with a Tandoori style grill. We came for dinner. Ordered 1 Pork Souvlaki and 1 beef Souvlaki. After finishing order, they immediately bring you the Greek salad and bread (which is part of your dish). That is smart, as you don’t “die from hunger” during meal preparation. Not sure why other places don’t do the same. The meat and French fries arrived quickly on a big iron bowl, which keeps the heat and juiced and flavors of all the ingredient inside (see photos). Prices are low, and service is good. Very nice and relaxing atmosphere. The owner approached and we talked a bit.

One of those finds where a restaurent really shows how good traditional food is! The prawns where the best ive tried and the meat platter was above anything else tasted.

Very good food! Juicy meat thanks to a special grill. Very nice service. We had the best Christmas Eve dinner there! The owner was very nice and hospitable! I will come back because the food and atmosphere are top notch. Thank you to the owners for their HOSPITALITY!

Food was great. We had mix grill and squid filled with octopus. The service was not very welcoming, but they did their job. Maybe they just had a bad day... Red wine was served warm. 🍷

We were slightly apprehensive before going in as it was quiet. We sat in the veranda area. Lots of space, good size table and comfortable. We ordered the mixed grill for 2 which came with an enormous Greek salad. Delicious olives and feta on top. Sides of tzakiki and tomato sauce. The pitta bread was fresh and delicious that came with it. The mixed grill came out on a hot plate and was plentiful and again delicious. The service was very good, and efficient. Dry white wine ( carafe) was a good price and very drinkable. Finished with a Cypriot shot....not my cup of tea, but other half loved it. The bill was very reasonable What not to like?

Great restaurant and great Chef. The food was delicious and directly from the grill. The prices were if you compare the food and size to restaurants like Hondro super fair and not touristic. Go and give a restaurant from more outside a chance !

We had the grilled chicken and grilled octopus. Chicken was 13 euros and good portion, tasted nice although there was a lot of bones. Grilled octopus was 22 euros, so overpriced but tasted good even if it was a bit chewy, good portion. Restaturant was very quiet (around 7pm). Service and atmosphere were OK. Very clean. I wouldn't go back as there are many other options in Pafos but it's still a good dinner option.

This place was recommended to us - off the beaten path and would have probably passed without stopping. Very authentic. Popular with locals it seemed. Limited menu, but wow the food was delicious, meat so tender.

Cozy place with excellent food! Authentic atmosphere with local music and very attentive and friendly host and good prices. We enjoyed it a lot!

Outside of the most crowded beach area. Big portions, all meats are grilled on place, reasonably priced. Food was great, didn't take pictures of everything as we ate it too quickly! 😅 When we were there only one guy were working. But amazingly enough he was able to take the orders, cook the meet, serve the food, and get the bill much faster then other places we ate in-super impressive!

Lamb chops were satisfactory (I’ve had better), the potatoes were better than average. They served us delicious bread and a salad before our meal, on the house. Prices are good. In the photo you can se my partner’s mixed grill. I love that they served all on a hot plate.

The food is AMAZING. We had the mixed grill and every bite was a piece of heaven. And the pitabread? Best bread we ever had. Phenomonal. Wine was great too!!

One of the closer restaurants to where we are staying so decided to try it out. Initial impressions were not great, advertised as a Tandoori implying it is Indian but this refers to the wood fired oven. Also looks a bit run down but we received a warm welcome so thought we would give it a try. I am so glad we did, The owner Talik who is also the chef suggested a combination rather than are individual orders and this gave us everything we wanted and more. The food was excellent with fresh salad, home made dips and chips while the meat was tender and moist. The bill was less than expected and the meal was superb. If you want fine dining then this may not be for you but if you like great food you will not be disappointed!

We had great dinner tonight at Taverna Picnic. My wife had the best prawns and I enjoyed kebab. Food is amazing, fresh and well prepared. Another advantage is hospitality of Kosmas and his father. Great people and we plan to return soon. Best tavern in Phasos!
