A nice Bulgarian restaurant with a stealthy atmosphere accompanied by Balkan music, friendly and professional staff… and of course everything we ate did not disappoint and was very tasty and satisfying (at good prices)… .. Highly recommend the place at any time!

Located a little further along from the main tourist drag on tomb of the kings, we found this Bulgarian restaurant. My husband is Bulgarian and I am Scottish so it was great we could both find many things on the menu we liked. Our daughter is young and a fussy eater but loved the chicken strips. I am not a chip fan but was pleasantly surprised to find the chips were similar to real Scottish chippy chips but way less greasy (I stole a couple from my daughter's plate). Would recommend as an alternative from the Brit food served everywhere locally.

As a Bulgarian tourist in Paphos, I was pleasantly surprised to discover Balkanika restaurant. Amazing food and a friendly atmosphere, reasonably priced and great live music on a Saturday night. Highly recommend

Amazing pork knuckle and starybugarsky -- and if you haven't had these, you're missing out! Service is warm and inviting. We ate here twice in two days because it was so enjoyable. Go do your walking at Tomb of the Kings and treat yourself with delicious food in a relaxed atmosphere.

The food here is excellent. There is something for everyone. I haven't had Bulgarian this amazing since I was last I'm Varna. If you are new to Bulgarian food, try it, you won't be disappointed. Extremely courteous and professional staff that made us feel at home. I just wish I lived closer.

The service and food were amazing! I ordered lamb souvlaki and can say that is one of the tastiest one I ever enjoyed in Paphos. Juicy marinated meat with grilled vegetables and of course such a magic tasty Cyprus potatoes. Highly recommended, will come back and try other positions. Thank you!

My first time having Bulgarian food and wasn’t disappointed, the salad 🥗 was tasty, garlic bread very nice and the meat dish very unique. The restaurant has plenty of seating and indoor / outdoor dining. Full bar, access to wifi and friendly staff. The menu was pretty extensive but reasonably priced. I had an orange juice but they have non alcoholic drinks and a full bar. I’ll be back to try other food.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at BALKANIKA restaurant and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The lunch I had was incredibly delicious and the presentation was impeccable. What truly made the experience stand out, however, was the exceptional service provided by the waitress named Simona. She was extremely attentive and considerate, always making sure that my needs were met and that I was enjoying my meal. Her professionalism and kindness really added to the overall enjoyment of the dining experience. Overall, I highly recommend BALKANIKA for anyone looking for a wonderful meal with excellent service. I will definitely be returning soon.

We arrived for a late dinner, and received one of the best service I have ever experienced. The waitress was very friendly and welcoming, the food was first class in quality and for a good price. The restaurant offers food from a wide variety of cuisines, so everyone is going to find something for themselves. We'll definitely revisit at some point.

Very friendly service & delicious food! We‘ve had the 3 different skewers with some garlic bread for lunch. It was fantastic and I can recommend this restaurant to everybody who wants to have a nice meal from the grill.

Absolutely wonderful the food variety is unreal and the flavours mixed with traditional Bulgarian recipes. Some of the best food I have had while in Cyprus. Not only is the food out of this world the staff are so attentive with the best customer service. Family friendly polite and could not do more to make your our visit memorable. 👌.

Friendly and welcoming Bulgarian/Balkan restaurant with an excellent selection of grilled dishes as well as traditional Cypriot mezze. Staff speaks English, Greek, Bulgarian, Russian, Serbian. The menu includes soups and broths (a rarity for Cyprus).

Great food. We had 3 different meat skewers with chips, chopska salad, garlic bread. We were stuffed. 10% off if you go in early on. As we were early it was quiet, but lovely and clean with some Balkan style music.. We sat on the balcony with plenty of room. The staff were good. I would have gone again if it was not our last night.

Really nice place to eat! The food was awesome. The "Vegetarian Sach" was super tasty and the "Mixed Grill" was great too. The service was very friendly, I would totally recommend to eat here! 😍 And we loved the garlic bread (pita bread with garlic butter) ❤️

Delicious food, great service, what can I say. When you're in Paphos, definitely come and try yourself. During my vacation I didn't need any other place to eat. :)

We chose this place not knowing it was owned by a fellow citizen. The owner served us and recommended the dishes (the platters are not big to share so we did not choose them) and it was indeed good, the fish was fresh. One recommendation, no matter the restaurant, is to always double-check your bill at the end, it is wise to do that anywhere.

We had a wonderful dinner here. The food was great & prices good too. I opted for something cultural as I’m usually a safe eater (can’t go wrong with pizza & chips) I had a ЕЕФТАЛІА - Shieftalia which is a Cypriot specialty dish, like a pork sausage but way better. I had Shandy which was perfectly mixed 😁 Fantastic service from Simone (Simon) as pictured - Thank you 🙏🏾

We visited in June, and while our initial visit for a drink was unfortunately spoiled by a drunken local (which the owner was fantastic in dealing with), I am so glad we returned on two more occasions for really the best food I had during our time in Cyprus (Yes, twice, our needs were that well met). I highly recommend ordering a sach, the sach of the chef is what I ordered on our final visit and it was truly delicious and quite a big portion. The owner did really well building a rapport with us and upon hearing that I am a fan of rakija, he allowed me to try a couple for free of charge. He also brought us a couple of smokes when overhearing that we had ran out! I cannot recommend the place enough, the prices are fantastic too. I compel all who enjoy balkan cuisine or who have not tried but are curious to go here, you will not be disappointed. The service too is excellent. Bravo.

Food was excellent but waiter (probably owner) very rude. He shouted at me while I came to cash point and asked for a bill for my food (we were a group and everyone wanted to pay separately). He looked at me and started to shout why I did not mentioned at the beginning that we want to pay seperately. I truly wanted explore more food but that experience helped me to not coming back.
