We
played
Elea
in
April
2023.
This
was
our
third
visit
over
several
years
and
it
doesn't
disappoint.
It's
not
the
most
difficult
course
to
play,
but
as
a
single-figure
handicapper,
playing
off
the
whites,
the
layout
and
pin
positions
really
make
you
plot
your
way
around
the
course.
Several
people
during
our
holiday
commented
that
the
course
wasn't
in
great
condition,
but
I
completely
disagree.
The
fairways
and
greens
were
in
great
nick.
I
just
wish
that
other
golfers
raked
bunkers
and
repaired
their
pitchmarks.
I
repaired
six
on
the
first
green
alone,
five
of
which
weren't
mine!
I
decided
to
carry,
which
I
prefer
and
the
compact
layout
lends
itself
to
this,
unlike
on
some
courses.
My
only
criticism
of
the
course
is
the
anomaly
that
is
the
17th
hole.
For
most
players,
the
tight
drive
and
long
carry
over
rocks
toward
the
green
result
in
most
players
struggling
to
complete
the
hole.
A
redesign
wouldn't
go
amiss
here.
After
golf
we
ate
in
the
restaurant.
The
food
was
excellent
and
remarkably
good
value!
Overall,
5
stars
from
me.
