Honestly, I don't understand the negative reviews. Yes, some of the cats have one eye, it's a sanctuary. Yes some of the cats have limbs missing, it's a sanctuary. Yes some of the cats are sick, IT'S A SANCTUARY! Yes there are flies, what do you expect with hundreds of cats? No, the staff don't talk to you, they're kind of busy with the hundreds of cats to listen to your tedious questions. It's not a zoo, IT'S A SANCTUARY! The fact is, these amazing people are working miracles with a micro budget. So go along, pet some affectionate kitties and give them some money

I find it odd that there are negative reviews. Clearly a Cat Sanctuary will have sick and lame cats. The work they do is amazing but be aware that some 🐈 will be in a poor shape. The cats are extremely affectionate and looked after but it must be difficult to maintain the facilities on donations. Tough job with heartbreaking decisions but it shows the best side of humanity. Visit if you can and any donation will go a long way.

First of all, respect to all the helpers who voluntarily help the cats here. We went there on our vacation because we ourselves love cats and animals and have cats ourselves. Even if we couldn't take a cat with us, we want to draw attention to it and of course we donated something, because the unpaid work of the people there simply deserves to be honored. Thank you for your work and keep it up 🙏🏻

A beautiful little cat shelter with over 800 cats all over the place - visitors are encouraged to come and play with the kitties (and volunteer if you'd like). The cats are well looked after and fed well, and there is special care for cats with disabilities. The work they do here is so important so please visit and help out if you can, or check out their website as well! They accept food donations, but the most important donation you can give is a loving headscratch and a belly rub!

Be prepared to be ambushed by cats! Run by volunteers and completely dependent on donations, the cat park is home to approx 700 cats apparently. There is a special unit for felines that require medical attention away from the rest. Only open for short hours (closes at 1pm) it’s a lovely place for cat lovers to visit and spend time with furry friends. You can purchase merchandise and/or leave donations and even help out.

We visited the cat sanctuary after the monestary. Although we arrived a bit after closing time (only open in the mornings), they let us come in a pet as many of the hundreds of cats as we could. You can bring food to donate or give cash donations. A wonderful place for cat lovers and those considering adopting one of the friendly kitties!

Best part of our trip! All the cats were so sweet and friendly. It's sad there are so many cats in Cyprus who are in need of care so it's a great thing what the owners are doing. You're free to walk in and pet the cats. No fees to get in. We had brought some cat food which the cats loved and could spend hours there. Be careful of sitting down as you can have many cats jumping on you. Though we had food, some of the cats just really wanted your affection and love. We asked about adoption, and looks like any of the cats are free to be adopted and you'll have to handle the flight cost, etc. We didn't inquire more as everyone seemed very busy. No one even asked for donations and were hard at work caring for the cats.

700 cats, yes you heard me right. That's the amount of furry friends that live in this cat park. Ladies who run this place on volunteering basis are super friendly and talkative. All cats are looked after as best as they could. I strongly recommend to come here and give a stroke to some of the cats, as well as donate some money towards upkeeping of this place.

Been coming here for about 10/13 yrs when the cats were at the monastery. The volunteers and Manager Dawn do an amazing job and I volunteer everytime I'm over. Please come and see the cats and maybe adopt or sponsor one or two lol. Check out their Facebook page Tala cat sanctuary which also has a link to their Instagram and website. It will really make yours and their day xx

If you are in the Paphos area and love cats this place is a ‘must visit’ all funded by donations they take in strays, injured elderly and disabled cats all just want affection, we were greeted by an old tabby boy in the car park who escorted us to the gate, he kept looking back to make sure we followed! He then stuck with us in the garden which had every colour you could think of. We will be sponsoring when we get back to the UK as every penny counts. It’s free entry but donations of food, biscuits, cat litter and cleaning supplies and also cash are all welcome. On our next visit we will hire a car and fill it with supplies for them.

Agios Neofytos CatPark is an enchanting and heartwarming sanctuary for cat lovers. Located in a serene setting, this unique cat park in Cyprus offers a delightful experience for visitors of all ages. As soon as I stepped into the park, I was greeted by a friendly atmosphere filled with the presence of feline friends.

Amazing place! The cats were incredibly friendly, and open to play with us. They liked to climb up to my lap, or even shoulders! Heart warming. 🥰

Great place to visit, really friendly volunteers there who were happy to chat and explain the history. Loads and loads of cats..... obviously...., but quite a few outside too as some just hang around. They have a little shop to selling mugs, tshirts, key rings, calendars, baseball caps, pens. If you sit down within seconds you will have at least 2 jumping up on your lap. It's amazing that the cats appear to all get on with each other and appear so relaxed. I'd never seen so many cats the pictures don't really do it justice. No fee to visit, donation box instead. They must get though an awful lot of cat food!

Love love love seeing these people helping out! They added the special needs cat unit at the back and please, if you want to give lots of love do visit the handicapped bebis, they deserve special kind of love knowing they've been through things. I spoke to a lovely lady and any I could only recommend bringing good food or supplies as anything matters and they wouldn't turn down even 1 can of food

The work to keep this place clean and running is definitely hard, but they do a great work! Cats are really friendly, sometimes too friendly, you let you guard down and some is already on the way to your neck. :-)

If you are a cat lover, this is your place. Around 850 cats living in a safe environment. Every day a group of devoured volunteers is making sure their bowls are full with food, their toilets clean and they have nice comfortable beds. The park is open daily from around 9 am till 1 pm. Please, consider a small donation as the park is entirely supported by the good will of the people.

The place was nice. There were a lot of cats and they were all very friendly. Please donate to this place because they have disabled cats they need to take care and all the cats in general! I recommend for cat lovers, since this place is free :)

The cutest if you need some cat love. Open 9 to 1pm, come with donations or cat food or anything you could do to help them! I’ve never seen so many cats in one place and they’re all taken care of swimmingly. Me and my parents had such a good time there!

Great organization and many friendly cats. A must if visiting the island. Keep in mind this is a sanctuary and as a result there are some cats that have injuries, they are well taken care of but good to be aware of.

Just fantastic place for all animal lovers! People here do incredible job to care of all those cats Since it’s all free and non-profitable - there’s a lot of options to help, like bring food to the animals, donate, volunteer, sponsor specific cats or even adopt one! Must visit point at Cyprus, only warm memories from here and deep respect to volunteers

Just wow. Never seen anything like it. If you're a cat lover there just isn't anything better. Hundreds of cats of every kind, and they are all friendly and will climb all over you. They are very very well cared for, and the staff are very friendly and constantly working for the well being of the cats. In December when I visited there were just one or two other visitors so I had the place to myself almost. Throwing them treats that I brought with me was allowed in a designated area, but I almost regret it as I've never seen such a sea of cats come running at me. For me the key thing I learned is don't wear your favourite jeans 😂 would visit again if I'm back in Cyprus

900 cats in one place being cared for by a group of volunteers. Just be aware that some of the cats are in quite a sad condition and the smell can be overwhelming. The main negative for me was the vast quantity of flies. I would have thought they could do something to reduce this a little.

Lovely place helping hundreds of cats to live their best life, all the volunteers are chatty, pleasant and obviously cared a great deal for the cats. Considering the small space and funding they have to work with they are doing an incredible job. Be aware it's a rescue shelter, not a zoo.

A absolutely fantastic find. If you love cats you won't regret a visit and will definitely get mobbed by loving cats. They are so well cared for by the loving volunteers and we would happily adopt more cats on each visit. Love it here

Amazing place that helps and save stray cats, we met the couple that raised this place 12 years ago, that's the way angles look like!

The cats are all so friendly and love a fuss. The women working there didn't stop while we were there, feeding all the cats. There is a disabled cats section, bless them. They are well cared for. We took some food which was appreciated. It's well worth a visit if you're a cat lover, but beware, you will want to take them home!!

Love this place, just needs more help either financially or by donations of cat food, both wet and dry, disinfectant, washing up liquid and bleach

Great place to go if you are a cat lover like me! We got there not long before closing so I'm not sure if it's different earlier in the day but everyone there was so busy I didn't want to disturb them to try find out any information about the background. Maybe an information board at the beginning would be nice and a good way to encourage more donations which are definitely well deserved!

Wonderful little cat rescue centre, hundreds of cats being well cared for by volunteers. Even has a section for disabled or vulnerable cats giving them a chance at life and a safe space to live. The sweetest cats and they all captured our hearts especially Jax a three legged kitty and the little ginger kitty blind in both eyes. Love that they can all be rescued by visitors giving them forever homes.
