Fantastic local beach. This beach is sooo nice. Great sand, crystal clear and I mean CRYSTAL clear water. Because of the breakwater the sea is really calm here. โ‚ฌ7.50 for two sunbeds and an umbrella. Get a beer from the bar or order from the hotel. If you like snorkelling then definitely go here, so much sea life to see. I am so glad we decided to go here.

Venus Beach is probably the best of the beaches in and around the central Paphos area - especially if you have children. The other "beaches" around the main harbour and south are small and really just rocky outcrops with a sprinkling of sand - and dominated by mega hotels. Venus beach is next to the Tombs of the Kings site and is a short bus ride from the main harbour - the 615 bus will take you there and it stops right outside Lidl. There's a large free gravel car park and a basic area with open air showers and taps to wash off any sand. The beach itself has both open areas of natural sand and a large number of sunbeds that can be rented with hospitality services available (I believe from the Venus Beach Hotel). It also links to the coastal pathway that follows the coast back to Paphos Harbour. Around 9am is probably the best time to arrive as by 11am it can feel a bit crowded. Weekends also tend to be very crowded as many locals also use this beach. The water is generally clear and quite calm and there are no hidden rocks as with some of the other beaches. The swimming area is protected by several artificial reefs/breakwaters which makes swimming very safe and protects from the notoriously rough seas and strong riptides which Cyprus is well known for - as evidenced by the shipwreck you can see about 1km away. There is usually a lifeguard on duty as well.

One of the best beaches in Paphos. It has cheap sunbeds and umbrellas - 2.5โ‚ฌ each. No waves due to the rocks in front, sandy bottom, Lidl nearby. Cheap drinks from the Hotel's bar - a frappe costs 2.5โ‚ฌ,a coke -1.5โ‚ฌ.A must go if in Paphos.

Went there in the evening around 6pm. It was still extremely crowded, tons of people, lots of kidsโ€ฆ itโ€™s a good family beach because itโ€™s protected by rocks so the water is calm and itโ€™s a sandy beach. Half is sunbeds and umbrellas for rent and half is free. Thereโ€™s some toilets and showers and changing rooms, although they turn the water off and lock the toilets at 8pm. Not my favourite beach, too crowded and as a result the water doesnโ€™t look as nice and clean as other places. But you can see a stunning sunset. Thereโ€™s a huge parking lot beside it. Another downside for me is thereโ€™s no plants, trees, bushesโ€ฆ itโ€™s just rock and sand.

Nice sand beach, pleasant water, showers available. You can reach it with the bus 615 (Cyprus bus App). Lidl in front.

Date of Visit: 12 February 2023 (Sunday) The beach has fine golden sand. Walking on it is very nice because it doesn't sink your feet that much. I haven't tried swimming in the water because I don't think I can handle it during winter. It's nice to watch sunset from here as the beach is spacious and clean compared to other beaches next to it. Across it there's LIDL where you can buy snacks that you can to the beach. Just don't leave your trash, please. Keep the place beautiful.

What an amazing beach. Crystal clear water, golden sand, no stones. Beds and parasols for 2.50โ‚ฌ each. Not even too crowded really. 100% recommended from us

Nice sandy beach hidden from high waves. Perfect for kids! You can also rent seabeds and umbrellas (price is 2.5 euro for each). Recommended!

Although there were a lot of people at the beach that afternoon it didn't feel crowded. The water was warm, with a gentle surf, it dropped off quickly, but remained level for a nice distance. You could rent sun chairs and large umbrellas for โ‚ฌ1.50 each for the entire day. Or you could lay your towel directly on the sand a short distance away. A snack bar was conveniently located on the beach. There were fresh water showers available to rinse the sand and salt off. There were also changing booths available.

Lovely beach! Nice clean sand and water was so clear. You could see your feet when swimming Water was calm and safe for swimming when we went Quite a few people there (Jun 21st) but feel like you have your own space, especially in the water You could get a bed even if if arrived later in the day Can use a website to get food and drink delivered to your sunbed. Drinks were good, not sure about food Would recommend and so glad we picked this beach to visit today

The Venus beach is perfect. Unfortunately the staff of the beach equipment are idiots and not customer oriented. If you buy tickets for the whole day you MUST stay on the beach even during lunch time where UV index is 10. If you leave the beach, afternoon's visit you must pay again. Oh, yes, you have 2 hours to be off the beach . ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ fantastic fools..

Beautiful beach with friendly staff on the sun beds and drinks hut... Great for snorkeling. 2 beds with umbrellas cost 12โ‚ฌ and it closes at 7 but you can still stay on the beach. Showers and toilets available but not great for disabled accessibility.

Fantastic beach easy to get to crystal blue water. Sunbeds are โ‚ฌ2.50 but plenty of space to take you towel aswell - the sand is soft and not stoney like some beaches - we swam in it for 3 hours and it felt like 10 minutes - also we went in the middle of the day and there's plenty of space alot quieter than I had expected

What an experience! This was my first contact with Sandy beach ever and I absolutely loved it!! The sea was astonishingly clear and beautiful. You could see the bottom of it without wearing your goggles. There are umbrellas and chairs for rentals, however, the prices is like 7.5โ‚ฌ and you cannot rent e.g. only chairs for sunbathing. You can rent only the whole set. You can find a car selling an ice cream there. The beach is very calm. Now there are starting a reconstruction there but it does not change the fact that itโ€™s the best beach!

Our favourite Beach with crystal clear water. It is also located close to the apartment. There is also an ice-cream truck with the best one you can imagine!

Very nice beach. Nice white sand. Not too crowded. Big waves. But most important, the water is very very clear. We used simple snorkelling equipment and were able to spot fish and even a small stingray !!! Very cool.

Nice beach , the guy who rents the beds out also has soft drinks and beers , prices not too bad . If you don't want to pay for sun beds they ask you to go to the rhs as you look at the sea from the shore , but you always get those who are just ignoring the request .

It's possible to visit the Tombs of the king's on this Area. Very nice for a family day. It's recommended for adequate shoes cause the floor is very unstable, hat and water.

I don't know where the other reviewers have been on Cyprus, but this beach is definitely not one of the best. The beach is not clean: trash in the water as well as in the sand. View is unspectacular. Water quite muddy and full of seaweed. It is nice for kids though, as it's sandy and the entry is shallow and easy. It's not bad per se, but compared to other beaches around Cyprus it definitely leaves something to be desired for.

Venus beach wasn't really great, it was very rocky and full of some kind of sea grass which wasn't very pleasant. Although one good thing was that one can have an amazing view of the sunset from the beach.

I went off season (end of Nov) and I had the beach almost only for me. Clear water, perfect to swim and see some small fish. Loved it here!

Not bad at all. The wave brakers assure a calm water. This beach has fine sandy area with rentable sunbeds and umbrellas that are available at cheap price. Watch is on duty. On weekends and holidays is crowded but there is enough space for everyone. Free parking, approaching recommended not from the Venus hotel but at offroad entrance 200 m away from the hotel.

High waves-dangerous. Full of people. 2-3 years before was better. The water was full of seaweed. The good thing: Showers available

I am kind of disappointed with this beach. There is a ton of rubbish on it. Mainly cigarette butts. The water was also full of plastic and weird cotton like seaweed. I'm not usually somebody who cares too much if the water is a bit dirty but this seems a bit much even for me. I'm confused how other reviews are so good...perhaps they don't maintain the beach as much outside of summer months as we were are here in October.

Nice little beach, very calm, sandy. Calm and very clear water. There is sunloundge area and plenty of space for your own towel on the sand. There's toilets and showers too.

Thought to try out another beach in the area and it was OK. Sandy but gets deep quickly. Water was clear with a few floaty bits. As usual with any beach please take your cigarette butts with you and rubbish... I think you can hire sunbeds too as I don't think they are allocated to the Hotel itself. A bit of music in the background added a bit of ambience.
