Interesting place to visit. It costs 2,5€ to enter and get some water with you just in case. You will spend around 40 minutes there. Do it early in the morning. Be prepared to see nothing exciting here. It’s an old defence settlement from 1200 BCE. The interesting thing is that it was build by Greek refugees from the Aegean islands. The museum structure also is interesting. The only visible part is the roof made of copper, so it doesn’t disturb the natural enviroment

A very interesting and ancient site more to it than first meets the eye. The space craft in the middle is a bit out of character and could be a little more informative but with a little imagination this is a good walk round.

Ive worked alongside archaeologists because i work on construction sites back home, and some of the remains are very old.Not this old though.Yes the site is small but the curator insisted i should get a reduced rate.Hes actually very friendly and happy to chat as well as take my E1.25c which wouldn't buy a coffee here.I found some pottery and shaped stone laying in the gravel and fauna.Quite a lot really and asked him if the site had been properly excavated. To be fair to the average person all there is to see is the saucer and a few old walls.I've been to Petra in Jordan, and Egypt and learnt all that is needed is a little imagination.Back home in England we built in wood, with burial sites sometimes in stone, and this place goes back to the beginning of the written word in this part of the world.Got to be worth something.A tiny tiny peice of shaped stone fell into my day bag.I collect things you see. There are very few artifacts here.Lack of funding prevents small places like this being properly explored,so the curator said.

Had to hop the fence since it was closed, but there were a few other people inside so evidently I wasn't the only one. The unspoilt beauty of this small stretch of coastline is among the most beautiful on the island.

A wonderful little museum of the Mycenaean settlement in Cyprus with depictions of how life was organised through unearthed artefacts around the island. The museum, designed by architect Andrea Bruno, is built so to interrupt minimally the scenery around the peninsula and the settlement. It has stunning details and copper plated dome and door as ode to the Copper Historic Era of the island. Sadly the museum is not maintained at the appropriate standards.

Not sure why you would come here, it's tiny and it's 2.50 euros entrance. Definitely not worth it unless you are a hardcore archaeologist

Definitely worth the admission of €2.50 to see the remaining foundations, see the small museum, and get a unique view of both bays.

Almost nothing to see, not really a museum. During hot summer days, one could die inside this building. It gets really unbearable.

You need to pay an entrance fee to enter the site but very little to look at which is disappointing. There is a sunken "spaceship like" small museum with historical information to be found

(Translated by Google) Absolutely not worth the money spent. There is nothing to watch. From the buildings there are only the outlines of the foundations. The ticket price is the same as the Royal Tombs 2.5 euros, but there are at least some impressions. Sad and sad.

(Translated by Google) On the way to Coral Bay Beach, you can go to the open-air museum city. Of course, there is almost nothing left of the buildings, but you can take a walk, there is also a small museum in the form of a flying saucer in which you can read the history of the settlement.

(Translated by Google) Maa-Palaiokastro is located some 13 kilometers northwest of the city of Paphos. Excavations on the site began in 1952 and continued systematically for eight periods from 1979 to 1986. It is a fortified settlement of the Late Bronze Age, built on a small peninsula, linked to the permanent settlement of the Achaeans in Cyprus around 1200 BC, and the subsequent Hellenization of the island. The settlement is protected by two imposing fortification walls, one on the side of the land and one on the sea side at the end of the peninsula.
