We stayed here in October 2021 still within restrictions for covid. On arrival we were greeted by a friendly team and a lovely hotel. Throughout our stay here the staff were lovely and very accommodating even letting me have some breakfast at 5:30 before an early start for a diving trip. The room and hotel were spotlessly clean the food and drinks were great too. We walked to Paphos harbour along the sea front path a few times for evenings out this was a steady 50 minute walk. We would definitely recommend staying here and would choose this hotel again.

We are here for a week. The hotel is fantastic. Spotlessly clean and comfortable. The staff are all friendly and helpful. They actually seem happy in their work which says a LOT. Pool is small but is rarely busy. Plenty of comfortable sun beds to be found. Good and hospitality is incredible. Totally love the beach service. The staff bringing drinks to your sunbed is luxury itself. The bedrooms are quiet and comfortable. We have a deluxe room and are all Inclusive. The evenings have entertainment most nights. Very subdued and relaxed so May be if you’re looking for an exciting night out then you’ll need to find it elsewhere. The location is quiet. The bus is easy to catch if you want to go to Paphos town. Overall absolutely excellent.

I really can't fault this hotel. It oozes quality. Food is excellent, room is clean and comfortable - particularly the bed and soft pillows. To top it all, the staff are great and genuine - nothing is too much trouble. Thank you. I will be booking again, for longer next time, when I return to the UK.

We have been to this hotel several times since 2008 after Paphian Bay closed next door. We have always been greeted by friendly, professional staff and those who have been long-standing members of staff remember us which is lovely. The food has always been of a high standard, and the atmosphere is so relaxed that you feel recharged by the time you leave. The rooms are well kept and clean, and the beds are comfortable. This is our first visit back since before Covid, and it is obvious that the entertainment has improved a great deal. Some really good singers, entertainers and disco. Quite honestly, it used to be pretty poor and very old-fashioned - (my personal opinion only). There is also the addition of the rooftop bar, which is a lovely place to watch the sun go down or have a drink in the evening. Nothing is ever too much trouble, and the management listens to suggestions and deals with issues promptly. The only thing missing for me on this visit is the ice cream cornets, which they no longer do?? Just the little things, but they are the things that count!

The service is excellent. The staff are attentive and friendly. The rooms are well decorated and cleaned daily. The beach is on the small side and shared with same Company apartments suites next door. Breakfast is probably the best meal of the day as the menu for evening meals is limited. The entertainment is discrete and includes a Cypriot evening most weeks. This is a place to escape to for middle aged professionals and retirees. WiFi is included and works well all around the hotel including on the beach.

Tremendous resort. Helpful friendly staff, fantastic food, wonderful sea views. Beach towels and bathroom towels provided. Take part in the many activities and entertainments, or just relax near the pool or the beach which is less than 100metres away. Pathos Harbour is a 3km walk along a coastal path. Excursions pick-ups either at the hotel or the bus- stop which is 200metres away. Staff are super friendly, service with a smile. Onsite small shop is very reasonable and you can buy souvenirs or any forgotten essentials. Fabulous sunsets can be viewed from the beach or rooftop balcony bar.

We have just returned and could not speak highly enough of the service and friendliness of all the staff at this hotel. The location next to the beach is fantastic and the facilities and food at the hotel top class. Would definitely recommend

We have just returned from having had a week's holiday and we couldn't fault anything from the moment we got there till the moment we left. It's all down to the amazing staff nothing is to much trouble and everyone from the lady who cleaned our room daily to the girls on reception. The waiters work tirelessly from morning till night and are a credit to the running of the hotel. We would especially like to thank Eto who made our holiday one of the best. Will definitely be back Anthony & Diane

My boyfriend and I visited this wonderful hotel for a week on the 13th July of this year. The location, team, food and drinks are all impeccable. All members of the team are so genuine and went above and beyond; they are an absolute credit to this hotel. Do not hesitate to book a sea view room and all inclusive, it is well worth it. Make sure to take a swim in the sea around the pontoon, we were lucky enough to swim with a green sea turtle every day! We can't wait to book again. See you soon - Mr Jason L & Miss Antonia.

We returned home last Sunday after spending 11 nights at Pioneer Beach Hotel. We were celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary 💍and a birthday, 🎂 when we arrived at the hotel, (we had booked a double sea view room), we were upgraded to a junior suite, which was a nice surprise. The room was lovely with a comfy bed and comfy pillows. We had a sea and mountain view. We were also surprised by a bottle of champagne 🥂🍾 brought to our room. We loved everything about the hotel, we couldn't fault it in any way. The location, the room, the food, the staff, were all amazing. All the staff were friendly, professional knowledgeable and helpful. Especially Valia on reception. We loved the hotel so much we are returning later in September 😀 See you soon ❤️

Super friendly and relaxing hotel. Spent a week here with my mum in November. Breakfast and dinner were amazing. Yes, it is Buffett but the variety and quality is really good. Lots of „showcooking“. Staff is super friendly and always up for some laughter. Overall, we enjoyed great food on the terrace, lots of massages at the spa or just doing nothing at the beautiful beach and sipping a nice cocktail at the sunset. Super surprised about Paphos and how clean and lovely the surroundings and the beach paths are. Definitely want to come back.

Furnishings in room were a little dated but everything else about the hotel was great. Friendly and hard working staff, excellent food (choice and quality) and immaculately clean. Excellent pool and great location next to the beach. Good loungers.

Amazing Hotel ... Couldn't have asked for a better holiday .. We were all inclusive and didn't leave the hotel for a week. Food was amazing.. Service from all the staff was out of this world. The room again couldn't be faulted. A-la-carte restaurants were also excellent. Will definitely be returning.

We’ve recently returned from 7 nights at this lovely Hotel. Idyllic location. Outstanding staff & a big thank you especially to Valia who made our stay & my birthday wonderful! ❤️ Food delicious & plenty of choice every day in all restaurants. Our room was very spacious & comfortable with brilliant much needed air conditioning. Fantastic sea views. First class Hotel. Highly recommended. Very relaxing holiday. Looking forward to returning to The Pioneer soon. Overall we had a perfect holiday!

I visited the Elixir Spa today for a therapeutic body massage. It was amazing! My therapist was Dimos, he was brilliant. He asked if the pressure was correct, which it was. 45 minutes of pure relaxation, I think at one point I fell asleep. I would highly recommend one of the therapies.

Fantastic hotel with wonderfully helpful staff. The views from the hotel are amazing and perfectly situated for a sunset photo opportunity. The food was delicious. Evening entertainment was varied and a great joy to watch. A 45 minute walk to paphos harbor, would recommend jumping on the local bus on those really hot days though.

2nd time coming to this hotel. Staff are fantastic as always (particularly Deb in the restaurant and Valia on reception, who go the extra mile and treat you like old friends!) Housekeeping are speedy and entertainment is fabulous every night. Lots of places to enjoy the sun (or get out of it!) and a very picturesque location on the sea. Will return again. Ευχαριστώ!

A really happy hotel, lots of smiles from the staff. Food was so varied, always had a tasty evening meal, dining room staff were helpful, which was reflected throughout the whole hotel. Plenty of sun loungers around the pool and by the sea. A special mention for Ana in the hotel shop, which I must say is one of the best hotel shops I have seen.

It's been a wonderful stay at Pioneer! Super clean hotel, quiet, very friendly staff, good food and beautiful location. I would definitely recommend to enjoy your holidays here. We would love to come back at this hotel and enjoy more of Cyprus. Tip for car rent: at the other side of the road you find Phinist car rent Cyprus, they are very good! Good and friendly service and very good prices.

Stayed here for a week on honeymoon and had a great time. The hotel is about 3 miles from Paphos centre and was very well decked out and the facilties were very good. There are 3 a la carte restaraunts and the food is of a high standard. There is also a self service buffet restaraunt which has a good selection of food suiting most tastes. The staff are very welcoming throughout which is great as some other places you get the feeling they tolerate you but here they seem really genuine! There is entertainment laid on each day which is fairly relaxed and not too in your face. The hotel laid on a Haloween themed night with fire breathers and face painting and halloween snacks which went down very well. You could tell alot of effort had gone in. I didnt realise that it was an adult only hotel when I booked. Suffice to say that there were alot of the blue rinse brigade staying here at the time. I would have prefferred maybe couples more of our own age (50ish) however it had a nice relaxed atmosphere throughout with alot of the guests coming back here each year which speaks voumes in itself. The beach is nicely setup and overall it is worth a look. The hotel upgraded myself and my better half to a sea view suite which was fantastic. We were treated to a bottle of champagne and the room was turned down each night. We have to give a special menton to Valia who sorted that for us and really looked after us during our stay. Thank you Valia it really made our holiday special!!

Wonderful stay here in October 2021. Pool and facilities are great, food great albeit a little samey after a few days. The private beach is nice but a little dirty (litter) and the sea had quite a lot of weed. Housekeeping of the room and replacement of tea, coffee etc was inconsistent. Staff were all very friendly, and the Tui rep Saul was great entertainment. Definitely would go again

This is the 3rd time we have stayed at this wonderful hotel. It was just getting back into it's stride after reopening in July. There was a lot of new staff and some training going on. But did not impact on our experience and their high standards and customer care was excellent. Still a wonderfull place to stay. Will be going back

Staying All inclusive but not big drinkers however staff not accommodating at beach bar when wanting a drink. The only bar tender to be seen walking around and actually wanted to serve was Eto. She was amazing and even got told off by the male members of staff for being helpful. All inclusive and only 3 drinks all day. Wanted a coffee at 10am however restaurant and bar arguing over who should serve.

We a danish couple staying for a week at this hotel. It was really hard for us to coordinate a whole week because of our both calendars are busy back at home. That’s why we booked whatever the travel agency told us and didn’t care about the price. We talked to travel agency TUI and told them our 3 wishes: No kids. Relaxation. Local/Greek food. We were promised all 3. I can’t describe how disappointed we are about the food. The food is really horrible. I have been at 3 star hotels in Egypt with better food. I’m sorry but this hotel doesn’t deserve 4 stars at all. It’s just a random charter tourist hotel. The view is beautiful as well as the hotel. Most staff members are friendly and kind but the drinks and food need a huge upgrade. We didn’t come all the way to Cyprus to eat French fries, pizza and pasta. Classic “tourist food”. We are here to eat local food, pita bread, tzaziki, Greek salad and in general: GREEK FOOD! I would rate the hotel as 3 star and the good as 2 star. If you are looking forward to enjoy Greek food on your vacation then this hotel is not for you.

This was a relaxed, all-inclusive holiday, and yes, they made it so enjoyable. The hotel is twenty years old, yet it’s spotless and smells beautiful. The rooms are lovely and again immaculate. The staff bar and restaurant staff are friendly and very attentive. The reception staff is accommodating, and nothing is a problem. I can’t praise enough the division manager (Valia). She's amazing. She goes beyond to help and make your stay as relaxing as it can be. I also liked the evening entertainment and daily activities.

The quality of the hotel and its surroundings were excellent. The team were very polite and helpful. Food was lovely. Had 2 of the best deep tissue massages at the spa done by Leticia. I had a couple of issues that were resolved very quickly but the best bit for me was that I wanted to surprise my wife by upgrading our room and rang the hotel in advance to do so for an agreed fee.,when we arrived we got the best possible sea view room and they waived any fee. Lovely location , people and atmosphere. Booking again? You bet be are 👏👏👏❤️

We were part of a group who only had an overnight stay at this hotel on 29 June 2022, courtesy of Jet2, because the incoming flight back to Glasgow was seriously delayed and they couldn't fly us home until the following evening. The hotel is beautiful, in a superb location, everything in the room you need, right down to an iron/ironing board ... even a shoe horn! We were afforded dinner that evening and breakfast and lunch the following day all of which were excellent. A fantastic array of food (buffet style), all beautifully presented. The staff couldn't have been more welcoming, even though we were only an overnight. It's made my husband and I think of holidaying here in the not too distant future.

Our second visit to this high quality hotel set on the beach with a promenade direct into Paphos Town. The hotel and pool are immaculate. Staff are so warm and friendly. Great buffet restaurant. High quality food.

The Hotel is lovely and staff were lovely at providing great service. Location is good if you have a car to get into the Marina area where the restraunts are, as near the hotel there is not much available. The rooms were clean/cosey beds however slightly dated in decor. Overall a great experience.

This hotel isn’t 4star this hotel should be 3star . Also needs to update their photos on the website as they are misleading. I strongly advise everyone against this dump! Dirty and disgusting! There were cockroaches in our room, after a complaint we got a new room, there too we had two monster cockroaches that could even fly: (((((the food was very tasteless, coffee bad !!! dinner was a horror, ringing worms, I had huge worms in my food, and that didn't matter to the hotel manager or the restaurant manager! I have never seen anything like this! We have learned our lesson. Other tourists who think this is a good thing Hotel is, finger it !!!!!!!!!

Up graded to a suit large room larger bathroom with bath & separate shower cubicle double sink. Also a bed on the balcony for sunbathing complementary fridge was full bottle of wine and soft drinks..Robes & slippers.. Tea kettle & a coffee pod machine. The food was fantastic 😋 👌. Service was excellent, The only down side was there was never any seats available around the pool ?? We had to get up at 7.00am to get a sun lounger on the beach as they went strait away. Personally there was not enough sun beds for every body at the hotel. Bus or taxi was a 5 min journey to the bars . Over all a beautiful holiday and would definitely recommend a stay at the hotel and definitely recommend a top floor suit if you like room to move around..

First things first ...I've had 6 ouzo's 4 beers and a couple of cocktails so this review may be a little biased 😳 Hotel check in was easy and very well planned, literally no wait and everything ready. Rooms are clean and stacked out with lots of freebies xx (including alcohol) Food , staff , well ..just about everything has been amazing. Cost a few quid but totally worth it , already planning our next trip here and have 5 days left !!

  • 5/5 Peter L. 1 year ago on Google
Fantastically clean and well maintained hotel. Our room was exactly as pictured (unlike many other hotels) and our 10 night stay was amazing. Late checkout is strongly advised as you get almost a full day. The staff really are brilliant and it would be wrong to pick out one area, they were all dedicated and polite and helpful.... well done!

Everything from start to finish was fantastic. Amazing hotel. Amazing food. Very clean. Rooms are large and the beds are huge and comfortable. We had cabanas on the beach, we definitely recommend this they are amazing and private. Christina in the restaurants is amazing and could not do enough for us. Saul or "sassy Saul" as we called him from the Tui team was amazing also. Daniel from the bar worked tirelessly to bring drinks to the beach. We will definitely be returning as by the end of our week we felt we were at our home away from home.
