If you could give zero stars I would because there is no other way to describe this hotel as it should not be open. We booked and paid extra for sea view room, which it did have. However, if you have booked this room be aware that you are not in the hotel but a separate block at the bottom of 2 flights of steep stairs and a very steep hill. The "block" is also left to it's on demise and not cleaned or taken care of. We had to ask everyday for new towels and bedding. Our room was also infested with ants and the reception refused to move us. We were clearly the unfortunate guests and outside our apartment door was the storage area for the bins due to the staff being to lazy to take them away. The mattresses are stained and dirty. The staff are rude and no helpful at all, everything you ask them you get huffed and it's a very big task for them. The food was completely inedible and not catered to everyone, if you have children you will need to go out of the hotel as there are no options. The food was cold no matter what time you went and very repetitive throughout the day. If you sit by the entrance of the evening restaurant or near the food you will experience many guests expressing their disappointments. You will see more people leaving the hotel at 6pm to go out for dinner than in the restaurant. Overall the hotel is a complete scam at a 4 star and I would highly recommend that you consider booking somewhere else because there is not one part of this hotel that was enjoyable.

Not a 4 star hotel. 1 star is more than enought. Covid 19 regulations does not exists. Is like there is no pandemic. Very dirty hotel. Aircondition not working. All the carpets in the hotel corridors dirty. Ants in the room. Walls with moisture. No ac at the reception and restaurant. Swimming pools 2.65 meters depth. No lifeguard on duty. All the plastics around the pool were broken. Breakfast very poor. Food was like it was cooked 2 days ago. Disappointed. Awful experience. Never again.

All in all we had a lovely time here, firstly the view is amazing, the rooms are lovely, could of been slightly cleaner but that's just being picky, the staff were all amazing and very helpful. However the food wasn't great for a few days it was OK but by the end of the week it was all very similar a lot of slow cooked meats in sauces which not really what you want in the hot weather l, also lunch offering could of being more snacky burgers, hot dogs or sandwiches would of being nice, bread rolls were often stale, the drinks had that much alcohol in you couldn't taste the mixer same as the cocktails all just taste of alcohol nothing else. But the hotel in all was good and we had a lovely holiday but they are some improvements they could make.

Avoid avoid avoid. Terrible hotel. The worst I have ever been to. No covid reculations were followed. No masks, no safety distances at the pool and the restaurant. They didnt care to change anything even after request from customers. Very poor air-conditioning at rooms and hotel in general. We were unable to sleep even with the windows open. Ants were everywere in the room and bathroom, walking all over our stuff. Carpets outside of the room were also very dirty like never been cleaned before. Pools overflow plastics were broken and very dangerous for the kids. Too deep pool without a lifeguard. Breakfast conditions were terrible. Too dark, too crowded, no covid safey protocols were followed and the food was like it was cooked 3 days ago. We stayed only 24h instead of 4 days. Awful hotel!!!

The actual hotel is lovely and in a great location. Private pebble beach just a 2 minute walk away with amazing sea views from the hotel. The only reasons I give this hotel 3 stars is the food and staff. The food is disgusting! There are no food options for children and the food is always cold & of a very low standard with very little variety. Also some of the staff are very rude despite how nice you are to them. Will try another hotel next time just based on the food being so bad.

Don't expect friendly staff. In our five night stay only twice did a member of staff bother to say hello. Bar staff more interested in talking to each other rather than serving customers. Food was ok at best. Hotel is very tired looking but the pool was ok. I'd advise getting a room safe and don't leave out any important medication.

I'm sorry to say this review is coming from my family as I didn't stay hear so please keep this in mind ,some how I wish I did stay hear to of experienced it,maybe I could of made a difference, my grandchildren were served alcohol in there soft drinks, my 9 year old said it tasted funny and the 4 year old was ill,but this is the best bit when my daughter confronted the staff ,they were laughing and calling her names, one of them wanted to fight her, when she finally found someone to complain to ,apparently the manager, he said he would sort it out,he didn't, I was only told about this incident once I was back in England, only after reading the other reviews I can see that the resort is having staff issues and hope this gets resolved soon. Sorry for this review, but I wish I stayed hear so to of protected my family.

This is not a 4 star hotel at all. 2 would be generous. You’d be much more pleased staying in a motorway services hotel. Let’s start. - music playing in the quadrangle all night. Enjoy not sleeping. - they don’t even take card at reception - water is hard to come by - there is no children’s entertainment despite the claims. The “arcade” is nonfunctional - if you have any allergies, they will shrug their shoulders and ignore. Including management - the food is lower quality than a school canteen in the 80s - wifi only works if less than 500 people on. I’m surprised there’s 500 people here because I haven’t seen them - the rooms are sticky and generally dirty and poorly presented. - upon walking to your balcony you get to see piles of litter below - the floor to the pool is definitely an area you need something on your feet - the advertised beach is a rubble dumping ground In brief summary, DO NOT VISIT this “hotel”. Positives: - car park is empty - the canteen serving staff are nice and friendly - the pool is ok but heated with ice NB. None of these statements are exaggerations. Stay at your own loss

Tired old hotel. Breakfast was awful every day. The breakfast area was shabby. Cheap food lumped into a buffet service. Staff very nice, most untrained though. Dinner was usually tasty in the restaurant. Our room was shabby. The safe didn't work. The bathroom wasn't cleaned once during a 10 night stay. Nor was the bedding changed the beds left unmade if we didn't do it. Certainly not a 4 star. Nearer a 2 star. Music blasting every night. Nowhere to hide from it. My husband and I watched the pool maintenance man. Clean his arms in the pool and then his nose!! I kid you not. Disgusting. We didn't go near it. Very disappointing. If you can avoid it don't stay here. It's terrible. Great view from the balcony. Drinks are very reasonably priced. Would not stay here again. Nor advise anyone else to. What a let down.

We really enjoyed our stay at Ascos Coral Beach Hotel. Both of the rooms provided had a fantastic sea view and great views of the area. We thought the food/deserts provided was good and there was a good selection of foods for vegetarian people and with our all inclusive we had food three times a day with drinks and snacks included for 7 days. The hotel had access to many things such as swimming pools, gym, sauna, hot tub, massage and shower facilities. Nice for walks and the beach was close too. I would recommend this hotel for everyone from adults to children and we had really enjoyed ourselves.

We recently spent a lovely week here. The rooms were cleaned daily towels changed daily as well. We had a lovely sea view and balcony. The grounds were clean and tidy. The staff were very helpful. The food was OK with plenty of variety for each meal. Tables were waited on and cleared away frequently by the many waiting staff. Not far from the village either a quick walk to the many bars etc there. We would recommend it

I am still at Ascos hotel at the moment. Lovely clean big room and balcony. Houskeeping is good. Food is good, always found something that I like to eat. They say there is a beach by the hotel. But it isn't really a beach, just rocks and pebbles, and hard to get down to the waters edge. They could do with investing innew sunbeds and parasols, as there are an awful lot of broken ones. And it's good that they let the waitresses/ staff have something to eat as well, I'm all for that. But it would be nice if they waited till they have shut the dinning area, before helping themselves. Which I witnessed a few times. But all in all, not a bad hotel, would give it a 3 star.

Stayed here end of October, family of five. First impressions are good, modern public areas and terrace. It goes downhill from there. The corridor carpets are from the 90’s and are covered in deep stains. The rooms are dated but spotlessly clean so credit to the cleaners. The pool area is large but there are dozens of broken or badly worn sunbeds. The staff hardly ever smile which is a real shame. The lady at reception was rude when she screwed up setting up wifi for my daughter. We found the variety of food good, but it was never hot which I hate, so we decided to eat out a few times at coral bay which was excellent. Overall we were disappointed but I’m not giving this a lower score as our priority was the weather and somewhere clean and Covid safe which we got. I hope the hotel owners read these reviews as the feedback is very consistent on here. If they spent a reasonable amount of money on this place, train the staff, they could make it a good hotel to stay at.

Great location, in walking distance to restaurants and bars in Coral Bay. Hotel looking very tired. Food surprisingly OK, but not as big a choice of dishes as some other hotels. Evening entertainment very poor. Staff don't seem at all motivated, and don't enjoy their jobs, which shows in their attitude to guests. We've stayed at the sister hotel, the King Evelthon which is much, much, much better. Wouldn't stay at the Ascos Coral Beach hotel again.

Basic hotel, pool and beach areas dirty and uncared for. Signs up and info given saying charge for pool towels and WiFi, but old info. Free now. Just feels like they don't care Rooms big but noisy air con even when not on! Breakfast offering, basic. Would not stay again or recommend

I've been here 1 week and last night here entertainment awful no interaction with audience sat behind a door with music centre , no way is this hotel 4☆ I paid more for half board then fully inclusive as my hotel got switched 3 timed. Originally paid for 5☆ so blame holiday company. Pool is great only ever felt welcomed by 2 staff .if you want a base it's okay . Website needs to be more transparent To include all fees WiFi €24 for 2 devices per room (you can't switch) a week (god help if you have kids) Remote control €5 deposit but they can't tell you what channels you can view If you lose your wristband €2 Just to name a few You can't access vending machine after 6pm so stock up at local supermarket as there is a fridge in the rooms which is a positive I arrived 1am night reception was great but had to take luggage to my room myself. If a 4☆ expect help .Day staff uninterested- all I got was " this is coming from our bosses if you raise a concern. Not a hotel I will choose yo return too as they really need to take on board customer reviews. I was travelling on my own no support whatsoever

Located in a lovely place, very nice staff, reasonably good food. Yes the hotel needs renovating, especially the corridors on the upper floors, but we had a very nice time there anyway.

Loved every minute of it. Lovely rooms cleaned daily lovely sea views. Plenty of choice at meal times.staff very friendly and hardworking. The only thing missing was the entertainment wich was non existant. On the day of our departure we were gonna pay to stay on for a few more days. Due to there being 8 of us some of us had jobs to get back to so we had to bite the bullett and leave Thank you ascos for a holiday we will never forge.t

You get what you pay for. Its a 3 star hotel, all inclusive. The food is fine and long as you are used to eating normal food. Salads, stews, vegetables, fish. So beef goulash, fish in vegetable sauce. But they also have themed nights. Italian, Mexican. They just don't cater for small children. No chicken nuggets, burgers or pizza every day. We found something to eat every time we went in, there wasn't a single night when we really couldn't eat anything. The hotel itself is spotless, in need of refurbishment but extremely clean. We found the staff very helpful. This was a cheap and cheerful family holiday and was fine for a week.

Rude staff everywhere, I stayed here for 5 days and did not meet one nice worker in this hotel. Staff who worked in “restaurant” were mostly dark skinned which is absolutely no problem, but when it came to service you could see that they were only serving other dark skinned guests, the rest of us didn’t even get a look, if someone smiled that was a lot sadly. Food wasn’t very good and there was a really small choice of it. Dirty hotel but the room was okay I guess. Location is very bad as well. Would not recommend coming here, spend your money somewhere else and enjoy.

My wife and I have just got back from our stay, it’s was our 4th time staying there, and the change is unbelievable, very poor! We will never return to Ascos again. We love Cyprus and the Hotel location is great. Where do I start? The room, we asked for a double bed, the only thing we requested at booking, but it was 2 singles pushed together which is uncomfortable to say the least. The bathroom, the shower glass was 1” short of touching/near the bath so the water ran all over the floor, so they sent maintenance up, he left a quarter inch gap, so it still leaked 🤣 The room is very tired as is the whole hotel, dirty and neglected. The staff used to get great tips because of the smiles and help the gave, now the service is very poor, all different staff, we heard customers asking for a wine list ( yes the waiter said, red rose and white) the understanding of the guests language ( English) was none existent and we could hear the frustration of the couple! Yes we wear abroad, but the staff were not local! Staff were not interested in helping at all ( apart from reception) they tried to help. The food was terrible, we were all inclusive but only had 2 breakfasts, thought 1st time might have been a 1 off? 1 evening meal and 1 lunch, ate out all the rest of the time. The drinks were lacking in content, poorly made and not the usual standard. We have never had a complaint about this hotel before, but we will never return there again, yes back to Cyprus next year but a different hotel.

The hotel and the staff are really lovely. I was bothered by the fact that I received absolutely no response when contacting them through Booking but in the end, everything turned out perfectly fine. The private beach was beautiful, right underneath, with a lovely atmosphere and facilities. Thankfully most of the other guests, who where almost all Brits, chose to waste their time by the pool swimming in chlorine and piss, so the hotel beach really felt like it was exclusively for us. Maybe this is my fault, but my city also has public pools, so I really cannot understand the sheer laziness of going down less than 20m to enjoy a beautiful natural beach. Worked out well for us anyways.

We had a lovely time at the Ascos Coral Beach hotel. The food was OK and sometimes really nice. The hotel manager was very friendly but staff were not. They weren't unfriendly tho. I think it was a language barrier more than anything else as they were from The Congo, all very clean and professional. The cleaners were obviously stressed as we witnessed a few altercations between the cleaning staff, which wasn't nice to see. The evening entertainment was sometimes dia. The brochure describes the beach as a shingle beach, however it is not. There is no way of getting into the sea easily as its all rocks and boulders. However there are some lovely sandy beaches in walking distance, some quite small and private, you just have to be adventurous. The pool area is nice and the staff wait on you but the bar is next to the pool anyway. If you like cats, which I do there are lots, some friendly some feral but only the friendly ones come onto the hotel grounds and they are mainly Bengals. I enjoyed saving them some fish from my dinner. We never saw any vermin!! Overall a pleasant place to stay.

I came to this hotel with my family. Before coming here, I read comments that the hotel is deserted, the food is always cold and so on. Upon arrival, I was surprised that everything was different, the food was warm, the hotel was not deserted. There is also one employee Max, he conducts events, games in the evenings like Bingo where you can win something. I recommend this vacation like a fairy tale🙂

Pro! Location was amazing! Beach at the hotel. MAX WAS THE BEST!! (THE evening entertainment) Pool staff lovely. Con! Rooms was dirty even after upgrading. Staff was clueless. Vodka served instead of Water No security Rooms apparently cleaned daily (NOT) Food was gross ended up eating out every night. Chemical in pool so strong snapped my hair Evening staff looks so unhappy. Outside rooms stuff left for over a week

Great place to stay, hotel in parts is a little dated, rooms are spacious, a little more attention to detail on cleaning wouldn't go amiss but they do a top job for where they are. Beds could do with renewing however overall comfortable nights sleep Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was good and plenty of choice, not much choice for kids or plain eaters. Drinks are good measures. Pool was amazing! Sunbeds are hit and miss if broken or not. Really enjoyable stay

We were here last week and had a fantastic time, myself wife and 12 year old son. The place is a bit dated but spotlessly clean, room was spotless, cleaned everyday with fresh towels. We were in the pool everyday, the staff in the bars were fantastic, all the staff were great, helpful and always smiling. The Only downside was the food was OK, not great but ok. My biggest personal problem was Why do the have olives with PIps/stones in. But all aside it’s fantastic location and value for money for a half term break, we will be back next year.

So, for a 4 star hotel and their prices , it could be much better! There are other hotels considered as 4 star with similar prices which are more worth it. The overall though it’s not bad. The room was clean and the air conditioning working non stop. In the room you will find a welcoming bottle of red wine and some seasonal fruits, clean towels , shampoo and shower gel, dryer(not working very well slow) so I would say bring your own. , one small old tv(ours was without any control so we had to change the channel from the tv which was very annoying), kettle , tea and instant coffee, they do not have light at the balcony which I found a bit weird. The cleaning lady was checking our room every morning by changing our bin, towels and making our bedsheets. Breakfast was very good !! 7-11am, there were plenty of options to choose from continental to porridge, fresh fruits, omelettes cooked instantly in front of you , English breakfast and others. Their pool was very nice, huge enjoyed to swim inside, their pool bar doesn’t accept card payment though, is that normal for a 4 star hotel ? Overall, is not bad hotel . They are trying but it needs a bit improvement in some things . In my opinion a bit of renovation would probably help as it’s old.

  • 2/5 Manita R. 1 year ago on Google
Average hotel with nice balcony (pool view) - strange welcoming at reception and weird behaviour from cleaners shouting at me, banging my door & calling my phone/banging the door many times and trying to provoke a reaction. I felt scared and management was slow to resolve anything. Not worth it in my opinion to pay for this. Interior design needs major improvement / the bathroom ceiling actually pushes up and it is not comforting as a woman. The single land view room wasn’t the best but thankfully asked for an upgrade & room was better but if you are a light sleeper this is not for you.

Nice place. no free wi-fi. And if you want to pay for it, it is very expencive. 2022.... No free wi-fi in the hotel....🤦🏼‍♂️ For its price it's ok. The food is little poor from my point is view. Same dish every day. No children's meals. The pool is clean, nice and bit cold. 5 min walk to main road, bus, restaurants, market. Room cleaning 1 in 2,3 days.... Not for children. If u look for quite, simple, cheep place.

This is my 4th time visiting this hotel, first time after covid. There are a few things I think that just haven't recovered after covid, the food being one of them. There isn't as much choice anymore. And I remember at breakfast they used to make omelette and pancakes to your liking and now that isn't offered. Apart from that it has been lovely as usual

We had a lovely stay. However, somewhat outdated in some areas. Beach needs work. Staff recommended a neighbouring beach which, was lovely and not far to walk to. Staff pleasant. Will defo come back. Thanks for a lovely wee anniversary break.

To be honest I see many reviews complaining but it isn’t a 5 star hotel! You get what you pay for. The location is good, next the beach and local strips with bars and restaurants. Rooms are big and balcony’s nice! Food isn’t amazing but as I say you get what you pay for and if it’s really that bad you can go for food literally a walk away with 20 plus different restaurants

  • 3/5 Michelle M. 1 year ago on Google
Stayed here for 1 week. Rooms are ok, a wee bit tired, and could do with a degree of upgrading, but I can't complain. Cleaning staff came in daily with clean towels and anything we needed. I enjoyed the food every night with 1 exception, but my daughter who is really fussy ate very little in the hotel at night, we had to buy her pizzas from a takeaway. The snacks on offer in between meal times appear to be the left overs from the lunch service. There were queues for the bar most nights, waited 25 mins to get served a couple of times, some people were getting table service whilst most waited in the queue?? I still don't know why they provided this service to some and not others but it was causing some unrest amongst the people who had to queue. There was not really any entertainment for kids, they advertised a mini disco, but the couple nights this happened it was just 2 or 3 kids songs they played lasting about 15 mins... The pools are ok, water is clean but the pool area and sunbeds could do with a good scrub and upgrade. Some repairs required around the pool but didn't come across anything "dangerous". You have be down early in the morning to get sunbeds are people were putting towels on the beds the night before. There is a gym in the hotel, but most of the equipment was old and didn't seem to operate and no one really to oversee or report it to. The staff here were nice and helpful, and my daughter really enjoyed the self service they provided for the ice creams. Overall, we had a nice holiday, I guess I just expected a bit "more" from this hotel/holiday.

  • 4/5 Angela W. 1 year ago on Google
The food was nice, with a good variety of choice for everyone. Lots of drink choices too. The poolside was nice with grass areas going down to a rocky beach. Short walk to the main bars, restaurants and shops. Though a bit run down in places, the hotel has lots of old fashion character. The staff work so hard and take a lot of slack from the guests. I was shocked at how some of them were spoken to.

  • 4/5 jane l. 1 year ago on Google
Having read the other reviews, I would say that what you get is a bit of a lottery! We had a lovely room on the first floor with a sea view, room cleaned every day and the aircon worked well. Arrived late, so was welcomed with plate of fruit, sandwich and crackers and bottle of water in room. No problem getting sun loungers every day even at 10am after breakfast! Lovely pool but like most places the music was really loud! Guy at the pool bar serving drinks always made me feel awkward and never smiled! Some of the female stuff were the same but maybe the heat and long hours contributed to this? Breakfast was fine for myself and husband but being a vegetarian, I struggled to find anything for lunch and evening meal. I didn't go hungry, there just wasn't much choice. The entertainment is poor but that's our opinion. Some tips: Take an empty reusable bottle which can be filled up every day at the bar and taken back to your room. Only one bottle is provided during your stay. (Also at the airport as you can refill rather than pay for bottled water) Take a couple of spare beach towels, the gap at the back of the sun loungers is really uncomfortable if you like to sit and read. They have no foam mattress so I wish I had an extra towel to roll and put over the gap....my back suffered every day! If you like a cuppa in the morning in your room collect some teabags, milk & sugar of your choice at breakfast as only herbal teabags and coffee sachets are left in your room. Yes, you do have to leave a deposit for a remote control but there's a button at the bottom of the TV with all the functions so try that! Masks have been reinstated in the indoor areas so remember to sanitise frequently and take some covid testing kits especially if you venture out of the hotel. Enjoy! Cheap holiday but we loved it and made some nice friends 😊

Went as a family of 7, had a lovely time. Food a bit repetitive every meat was in some sort of sauce but we still managed to all eat something even though my grandaughter lived on chips nothing much for kids. Entertainment was awful we ended up going to bars up the road. Not sure I would have chose this hotel it was a replacement as the hotel we originally booked cancelled and to top it all 7 of us ended up with Covid on this trip, not sure if it was being all inclusive so many people handling the same servers at meal times I suppose we could have picked it up anywhere but sure has made us ill.

Typical 3 star hotel. Staff a bit grumpy. Normally very happy in other hotels. Breakfast is the same everyday. Evening dinner is good lots of meats to chose from. Hotel needs a refurbishment. Old stained carpets in the corridors.
