Market pretty empty this year. Not their fault, it's down to Covid, but no atmosphere and hardly anyone in the shops, some closed down. Could do with getting some different items, been the same for years now but still worth a visit and the old car park has been improved but no loos there anymore sadly.

This extremely large market is the perfect place to buy mementos, souvenirs and antiques. Food and sweets seem to be better quality than decorative objects, though.

If you fancy souvenirs to take back to remind you of Cyprus , then you are likely to find it in there.

We had never visited the market before even though we have been to Paphos several times. When we visited we were a little disappointed as there were renovations going on so it was very noisy and dusty. I think the vendors should allow people to look at the goods on display without pouncing for on them and trying to pressurise them to purchase. I am sure if the vendors allowed people just to browse in peace, they would in fact sell more goods.
