Just been to this lovely winery. We were just on our walk and it was open in winter time 😮😮😮 Everything was closed in Kathikas village. Lovely bloke was there free access to small Museum and wine cave able to have a paid wine tasting with snacks. There is souvenir shop and can have coffee, cake, soft, drinks. Open all year the chap said. Very help full and the we tried a couple of wines before buying their wines so Lovely 🤩🤩🤩 It made our walk interesting 🙂🙂🙂🍷🍷🍷

Charming small winery - well worth a visit. Great tasting experience and learnt some interesting facts about wine production in Cyprus. 5 euros to taste a white, rose and red, plus a 10 year old red, spirit and dessert wine. Accompanied by some bread and olives. All wines are made on the premises - we saw crates of Shiraz and Mavro grapes stacked ready to be pressed.

We enjoyed our time ag Sterna Winery. Its easy to get to with a car as there is clear signage leading you to it. It wasn't very busy when we came around 4pm on a Tuesday mid August. We went into the museum part which was ok. The view from the terrace there is amazing. Then we saw the 3,500 year old cellar with bottles of wine. Afterwards we had a wine tasting session for €5 each. We tried a variety of white, rose, red, spirit and dessert wines, 9 in total. Each portion was about 2-3 average sips. We were also given delicious olives and bread with olive oil and lemon dressing on the side. The lady leading the tasting was lovely. It was brief, about 15-20 minutes. You can buy the wines directly from the shop they have. Overall a good experience.

A very good choice if you want to have a wine tasting experience. Cyprus has many wineries north of Paphos and if you want to know more about what is in your wine glass then I highly recommend Sterna. The family and staff are helpful and knowledgeable and are ready to answer questions about growing grapes and the wine making process. The wine tasting process is informative and enjoyable (I'm drinking alcohol so of course it's enjoyable) but they also offer a selection of sandwiches and other snack foods after the tour is over. Everyone in my group commented that even when we were having lunch after the tour the staff still interacted with us and were happy to answer any questions we had. We bought several bottles of their wine with the intention of taking them home but I don't think they will last that long!

I had a really nice visit to Sterna Winery and Museum after a fairly tough cycle ride. Upon arrival, I was greeted by the owner, and we had a quick chat about where I had cycled to and from and a quick explanation about the winery. I was offered the wine tasting. However, I declined as I didn't want to drink wine and then cycle another 20 miles back to my apartment. Inside the winery, I received a friendly welcome and asked if I was interested in the wine tasting. I explained I was cycling, so I didn't want to drink any wine. I was then invited to have a look around the shop and the museum. The museum is quite small but very interesting. You also get a great view on the terrace if you go out the back / side of the museum. After a few photographs etc I ordered a Frappe (very good) and an ice cream and went and sat outside and continued my chat with the owner. There were a few people on the wine tasting experience, and they seemed to be enjoying it. A few more people arrived while I was enjoying my Frappe. All the people were met with a friendly welcome. The next time I visit, I will definitely take part in the wine tasting experience. It looks like really good value for the money you pay.

I had very good experience here. The woman who made a wine tasting was very friendly, all wines which I tried were interesting (I tried dry wines here). Especially I loved their Maratheftiko 2013 which was aged in magnum bottles in their cave.

Boutique winery, family run. I had the wine tasting and it was a great experience to lean about the wines of the region. Their special red wine is really good!

Brilliant visit. Did the wine tasting and snack afterwards. Great value and terrific staff. Don't hesitate, our only regret is we didn't find it earlier

Really enjoyed the wine tasting experience, the guys are very knowledgeable and passionate about the wine, we were made to feel very welcome. There is a little museum and gift shop too. The wine was served with bread, olives and a vinagerette oil, you can also buy light snacks. I definitely recommend and I will definitely return!

Lovely place to visit for a couple of hours if you're in the Paphos area. Brilliant wine tasting, bread, olives for only 5 euro. Very peaceful place and the staff are wonderful. Would recommend it to anyone! Museum is cool to look round and you can of course order more wine along with some snacks after the tasting. Very good value for money, very good afternoon, you're looking at 2 hours max here but 2 hours well spent. Love it!

What a lovely find. Small winery that produces about 10 wines, Rose, White and Red. All lovely and we continued to drink their wines at local restaurants. The owner and his family had a real passion for their wines, and treated us so well. They had a lovely platter or sandwiches to enjoy after the tasting. Beautiful setting. Highly recommended.

Loved this place. We had the wine tasting followed by a glass of our favorite wine. Great local place, great wines and good prices. Unfortunately there were not many people at the winery but definitely worth a visit.

a hidden gem!! small familiar winery with really good wines. The visit is quick but nice, including a ancient (ca 3000 years old) cellar. The wine degustation is a must , 3 different wines (that can be sweet, dry or semi sweet) plus Grappa and dessert wine. The degustation icludes a magnific 10 years old red wine that is aged in the ancient cellar!!! just go and enjoy!

A visit with a ‘twist’. My wife twisted her ankle (and it turns out ruptured a tendon in her foot) before we had chance to taste the wines, after we had toured the museum. The family could not have been more helpful, bringing ice packs, ‘magic lotion’ Spartan Oil, water etc. I bought a couple of bottles of their the medium sweet red, and it tastes as good as the service we received. We also bought some of their experimental Gin, and look forward to trying that… If you are going to visit a winery in the region, this is by far the best.

Amazing place, Staff were friendly and helpful. museum and the wine tasting experience was interesting and price was extremely good for wine tasting. They were open on a Sunday!! and found their sign whilst in Kathikas village, very easy to get to. They had most delicious mix of olive oil with oregano and lemon. Souvenir shop sells sprayable olive oil in variety of flavours. Highly recommend!!

What a difference to two years ago. The winery was lovely and welcoming then but you guys have really improved it making it even better and more special . Wonderful wine tasting of the full range of wines including their most expensive. They also provided snacks. We ended up buying quite a few wines and could not fault any of the wines we tried. We will definitely be back and anyone who comes to stay with us will have this winery included during their visit. Fabulous wines, wounderful hosts who are passionate about their product. Don't miss this one.
