Fantastic location be it somewhat remote - well worth slow drive over unmade track. From the walk up the spectacular entrance to your first glimpse of the view under the grape laden vines, followed by a great Greek welcome. Simple lunch menu fantastic barbecued pork and chicken salad and the largest chips I have ever had. Just wow for a great place to have lunch and so reasonable €15 a head for food and jugs of good l local Cypriot wine and beers €125 for 6 - bargain of the holiday. 👍

Absolutely amazing! This place was the highlight of my holiday in Cyprus. We came here for lunch one day. My partners been here a few times before but it was my first time. We got a stunning view overlooking the cliffs out to sea. The staff were all friendly. You get to choose between chicken and pork from the BBQ or you can have a bit of both (which we did). The food comes with a huge plate of ‘big chips’ and a big fresh salad to share between the 3 of us. They also gave us some bread. It was all delicious. The food, the view, the laid back atmosphere and the staff made our afternoon perfect. I would recommend booking a table in advancers I understand they can get busy.

Massively overrated. First and foremost, it is unlikely that a taxi will take you all the way up to Viklari because of the dirt road and even if you drive you risk damaging your tyres. We ended up having to walk 25 minutes in the searing heat up to Viklari, my trainers were destroyed and my girlfriend ended up getting a leg rash that lasted the rest of the holiday. Once you get there the entrance is great, the service isn’t incredibly welcoming, the views are decent but nothing special and it gets very windy up there. You have the choice of barbecue pork and/or chicken with bread and salad. So don’t expect an array of vegetarian options, it’s a set menu based on how many people you have. As a meat lover the meat was disappointing it was tough and dry, not juicy with no sauce, the chunky chips were nice but the bread was basic. We asked for juice but they said they didn’t have fresh juice just carton which is disappointing considering the land location. When leaving a lady clearing up our table who had not served us at all took our 3 euros change we hadn’t picked up yet without asking which was weird and unprofessional but we could not bother to fuss and argue.

Always the best meal we have in Cyprus, we visit twice during each stay. Fresh, tasty and simple food done right. Top tip ask for a jug of the lemonade/lemon squash it's amazing and refreshing l (enough for 4/5 people)

Unbelievable view from this family restaurant. Definitely plan to visi this place. Menu is very simple - chicken or pork. Comes with salad and potatoe chips. Price for 1 portion was 12 euros. Best grilled chicken ever! They also have home made wine.

Beautiful location, stunning views over the valley and sea. Simple, but delicious barbecue food. Straightforward menu: Choose either chicken, pork or lamb - served with the world’s biggest fries and a simple salad. 15-18 Euros per Person.

We found this place on the off chance when looking for beaches to go to, whilst on holiday in Cyprus. The location is unique, with stunning views across the valley and out to sea. The dining area is covered with old vines, which makes for a wonderful shaded setting, whilst eating your lunch. The food could have been terrible and I would have still rated it highly, however we really enjoyed the BBQ meats (pork, chicken and beef) which was accompanied with a simple but delicious salad, chunky chips and bread. Service was relaxed and friendly. Considering the location and portion sizes, I would class it as excellent value. We had 2 meals, a glass of rosé, a coke and two large bottles of water for 40 euros. We paid cash which I think is their preference. Thank you for an amazing afternoon. I don't think I'll ever forget this place.

Beautiful view to have lunch. They do not have a menu but you can choose between pork and chicken. The last 1 km is a gravel road, but is fine with any car

A must visit if you're in the area. The atmosphere and view for lunch doesn't get any better. The road is well not a road so you're better off in a jeep/buggy but we managed in our rental car. Food was simple (chicken /pork served with chips and salad) and delicious, only criticism is the chicken was a bit dry.

View was incredible, but food was ok. They offer only three choices of meat (pork, chicken, and lamb). We arrived later in the afternoon (close to 15:30), and that may have helped in the overcooked barbecue meat. It was dry, even though tasty. Fries were very good, as well as the green salad with tomatoes. Since this is the restaurant and the food is the star, I will only rate it as a three.

Ring to book as this place fills up quick. I love this place. We keep hoping one day they will let us down as it’s one of our main reasons for returning so much to Cyprus. Food is simple, local and high quality. Menu is either chicken, pork or mixed. Served with a salad and potato. The view is to die for, the service friendly and the smell as you walk past the grill amazing.

A true find for an amazing experience. Don’t be put off by the rough road to get there, it really is in the middle of nowhere. The location is tremendous. It’s perched up high, commanding sweeping views over the island. You are eating under vine cover, which provides good shade and there’s a strong breeze to keep you cool. Food is basic. No menus. No vegetarian food that we saw. Either pork, chicken or mixed. Served with salad (leaves, cabbage, cucumber, green pepper, tomato) and chunky hand cut home made wedge type chips. Food was adequate. The meat was overcooked for my liking but my wife preferred it cooked as it was. Service friendly. 90 euros for 4. It’s 15 euros a head for food plus drinks so not unreasonable. Found out why I think the meat is overcooked. They cook the meats on a coal rotisserie that’s at the entrance. As we were leaving, we saw them put a part cooked skewer back on the rack. So they must remove them when cooked and add them back to reheat hence why it gets overcooked.

Gorgeous place. Amazing views and nice food. The owners were surprised the table was booked for 2 people only (even though there was no issue on the phone) - I also noticed that 90% of guests were in larger groups - perhaps that’s why. Either way - a nice experience and worth visiting 🙂

Remote hilltop restaurant serving limited range of rottiserie dishes - pork and chicken or pork or chicken 😉 and fat chips. Fabulous location looking down over the nearby bays with a natural sun canopy provided by vines (with the odd bunch of grapes dangling from the foliage). Great service, good honest grub. We were told CASH ONLY, however the waiter informed us that they are now card friendly too. Local beer/wine. Just an all round great experience. Highly recommended. The restaurant is accessible along a reasonably stable but rutty track. Best suited to dune buggy or 4x4, although many people attended in standard saloons/hatchbacks. This road is definitely not suited to cars with lowering springs fitted or low side skirts. Baby buggies should manage the uneven rocky path from the car park but wheelchair users may find it challenging, depending on their physical ability.

There is nothing not to like about this place. It is a long way off the beaten track but goodness it is worth the journey! Stunning views (arrive early for a table with a view), BBQ chicken and pork, chips and salad. Great food for all ages. The pork was sublime. The dry white wine served by carafe was beautiful. Service was great. The quirky decor, the old stone, the tables, the vines with grapes hanging from the ceiling all add to a magical ambiance. A place we will never forget.

A bit overrated and pricey for the taste of the food. The concept was simple, menu was only 3 items (all grilled). We got the chicken and pork, both were a bit dry (maybe overcooked even). However, the views were amazing! But I wouldn't go back for the food.

Wonderful location with great views. Food is barbecue chicken or pork with salad and the biggest and tastiest 'chips' (large potato wedges!) ever. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. Best to book in advance as it is always busy. A lively dining exoerience.

Usual road closed for season, so you come in via an alternative route which is a bit bumpy. But worth the effort. Food brilliant and staff great. I come back every year. It’s a popular venue set in beautiful location. So best book.

What a beautiful spot! It is an 'interesting' journey to get to (especially as the preferred route in is currently shut for building works), along a lot of dusty / rocky un-tarmacced roads - so not for the nervy drivers! But it is 100% worth it. Amazing setting perched atop a cliff with fabulous views out. The food itself, whilst simple, is amazing (some of the best we had in Paphos). No menu, it is simply either chicken or pork (or mixed) souvla served with chunky potato wedges / chips & a lovely salad. We had the mixed & it was so so tasty & a nice generous portion. Staff were great & friendly too. Well worth the trip for a great lunch. Note - not expensive either, we paid 37 euro for 2 people inc drinks.

Been going here for over 17 years and have always had the best time here. It is simple food done very well. In my opinion, those that are leaving poor reviews must have had the wrong expectations. Family run. They really look after you. Gorgeous location. The journey there is an experience in itself.

A very pleasant outdoor restaurant is the ideal end of a trip to the Avakas gorge. The service is very friendly. The menu mainly includes grilled chicken and pork meat, to which the traditional method of preparation gives an unmistakable taste. A great side dish is a salad of fresh vegetables, tsatsikki and hummus. I recommend complementing it with a glass of excellent local wine. There is a beautiful view of the coast from the stone tables of the restaurant. But don't plan on seeing the sunset, as the restaurant closes at 5 p.m. Instead, you can enjoy a nice view of the Avakas gorge from the parking lot.

A truly worthwhile adventure to get to the top. Great barbecue food prepared and served by a local family. The views are breathtaking and the grape vines above your head provided shade under which to eat.

Stunning views, simple menu with excellent food and good service. Recommend you make a booking to ensure you get a seat overlooking the Mediterranean. Can be a bumpy ride getting up there.

Amazing place with fantastic views. I’ve been visiting Cyprus for 35 years and this is the best food I’ve ever tasted. Simple menu, pork, chicken, salad and chips, although the chips can be the size of a small banana !!! They’re amazing. Definitely recommend and will visit again. Beware of the journey there though up and down some very steep dirt track roads, but don’t let that put you off.

What a find! The pork is amazing as are the chips. We didn't book, but its probably a good idea. Beautiful location as well.
