This temple is approx. 7km from koodumale (Mulubagilu). Village name is koladevi and Temple is dedicated to lord Garuda the vahana of Lord Sri Vishnu. This temple is famous for kaala sarpa dosa nivarana and for marriage related problems. In moola murthi you can see, Vishnu in right hand and Lakshmi in left hand. This temple was built during 12th century and idol was carved on pure Red Granite, which was installed by Sri Ramanujacharya. Also you can see lord Hanuman on the left side of garuda garbagudi. Any sarpa dosa and late marriages, please visit this temple. This place is believed to be place where jatayu fell down and led it's last breath during the fight with Ravana. This place was recognised by Ramanujacharya and led the installation of Garuda murthi. Believe our cultures and traditions. It is tough to follow, but really it has their own significance that cannot be revealed to everyone. Science is just name today, but it was under practice daily from Ancient India.

A rare magical place. The gurukals really explain all the history and powers of the garuda stone statue with the ashta sarpa. The swamiji there shares a few future things just by listening to the name of the person eg if one says the name of their daughter or son, without seeing them, he wjll be able to predict a few aspects about them/their life. Many of his predictions and future telling were spot on. Mystical + Magical guy who doesn't charge for this service or give you parigarangal that costs a bomb. Infact he gives his phone number and also is ok with recording all things he says.. Personally it was a very different out of the world experience. Something's are always beyond our comprehension. He and his fortune telling is one such thing A must visit place for anyone having chronic issues or life problems. There is no downside in talking to him. Tips: 1) be at the place by 8:30a as abishegam starts by 8:45a. And it's a small temple.. one won't get seat if you go late 2) give name for meeting the *fortune teller* saint and after abishegam they will call you to meet him. 3) when you go in... Record whatever the saint is saying. He can only speak and understand telugu and kannada. Doesn't understand tamil or english. So take a translator along or find someone in the temple if you don't know telugu or kannada. 4) after abishegam and saint fortune telling around 10:30a the garuda stone statue is opened with Alankaram.. and it's a beautiful site to see so well alankared statues. On the whole it would take 8:30a-1130a for the temple activities.

An old ancient temple. The main deity being Lord Garuda Swamy. The place is still less known to many people. The temple is very old and has multiple temples inside. Surrounding the temple, you can get temple offerings sold by locals. Come here and be blessed. More development will surely take place in coming years.

Garuda Temple Koladevi – Guide Garuda Temple located in ‘Koladevi’, a small village located in ‘Mulabgal Taluk’ of Kolar District, Karnataka. It is one of the very few temples that have the presiding deity as ‘Garuda Swami’, the vehicle of the Supreme Lord Vishnu. Garuda Temple Koladevi Timings Garuda Temple Koladevi opens at 6:00 AM in the morning and close at 7:30 PM in the evening. Thursday 6 am–7:30 pm Friday 6 am–7:30 pm Saturday 6 am–7:30 pm Sunday 6 am–7:30 pm Monday 6 am–7:30 pm Tuesday 6 am–7:30 pm Wednesday 6 am–7:30 pm According to purans, during the Mahabharata in Dwapara Yuga, the Pandava king Arjun went for hunting, due to the force of Arjuna’s arrow, the forest caught fire, and all kinds of snakes died in the forest. This leads to the Sarpa Dosha for Arjuna. When Arjuna met some great sages, they urged him to worship Garuda so that he could come out of the snake curse. That’s why after worshiping Garuda, Arjuna came out of Sarpadosh. Come in the history of Koladevi, in Treta Yuga during Ramayana, Sri Lanka’s demon king ‘Ravana’ kidnaps ‘Sita’ and rescues Sita by carrying a bird named ‘Jatayu’ in his ‘Vimana’. Did. At that time ‘Ravana broke both the wings of that bird with his sword, then the bird requested Rama to bury the bird at the same place. After this incident the place got the name ‘Koladevi’ and now in Kaliyuga the same Jatayu resides as ‘Garuda’ and the idol of Garuda was installed by the great sage ‘Brugu Maharshi’ few centuries ago, and regular rituals did. Place to visit near this Temple Kolar Gold Fields Kolar Gold Fields was the main gold mine of India but they were closed in 2001. Today the area is visited by many tourists who love the colonial style architecture. While you are exploring the fields, you will see a magnificent church called the Church of St. Michael and All Angels. The construction of this church was completed in 1905 and was built in Victorian style. St Michael and All Angels Church is one of the most popular tourist places in Kolar and is a must visit place.

This again is one of the famous temples of Kolar and still lesser known ones, this is was installed and worshipped by Arjuna and this is also only or a few Garuda temple in the country. This is about 30 min Journey from the Mulabagula Anjaneya temple. The Darshana of This Gods are arranged in batch and will take about 15 mins per batch. The God is very powerful and visiting will clear sarpadosha if any. The approach road to temple is good and instructions are clearly given. This is very old temple and it still in same old style.

Small, powerful and a rare temple. Looks like a cave temple. There are two gods inside (Lord Garuda and Lord Hanuman). It is said that by visiting this place, one can get relieved from Sarpa Dosham (snake curse). They say the best time to visit the temple is on pournami (full moon days). The temple is surrounded by a village. One can enjoy the village atmosphere, true nature, farm fields en-route.

The place is really good for any naga Dosha. It’s a bit crowded during weekends and long weekend. Small temple but very powerful. You will need to pay for parking but it’s on the road side and there is no shelter for cars

This temple is small ancient temple. Temple have Sanneeswara,Navagraga, Siv linga, Ganapati sanctum. The speciality of the Garuda idol is 5.5ft Tall in main sanctum is that it is carrying lord ‘Vishnu’ on right shoulder, and godess ‘Lakshmi’ on left shoulder. And one can find a beautiful idol of lord ‘Hanuman’ also here. The temple is getting more and more popular as it is the one of the very few Garuda temples in india. so the temple here is very powerful and Sarpa dosha recover by this lord Garuda so many people have benifited by performing puja at the temple. https://youtu.be/5ARS2s8tZSs

Located in a village called Koladevi.. Believed as very powerful god. Well Known for all kind of Nagadosha parihara. People queue up for getting their astrological answers here and believed that its 💯 accurate. Transportation services and roads need to be improved a lot. People can visit other historical temples nearby.

On Sundays temple is crowded but we got Darshan within 30 minutes. Very powerful God and apparently only temple dedicated to Garuda ALONE in India or world. A fortune teller next to temple is good n tells exact date of wedding etc. But heavy rush on Sunday

The priest said it is the only temple devoted for Garuda. Also belief is that things will happen as predicted by the astrologer in this temple. However you must take token in advance. We did not take though.

Very small temple.. Said to be the only garuda temple in the world. Known for sarpadosha parihara. In close proximity to mulbagal. Considering the belief system and the crowd visiting the temple, the facilities and infrastructure can be improved.

I visited this temple because I saw videos in YouTube that in this temple they will provide u marriage date. By that date or before that marriage happens it was believes there. But it didn't happened to me .To ask marriage date we should be there in the temple before 7am . Also they will charge 1000 Rs for Abhisheka. It's better to go there only for visiting Temple.

Supposedly a very ancient and only Garuda temple in India where the main diety is Lord Garuda. The idol of Lord Garuda here is carrying Godess Lakshmi on one hand and Lord Vishnu on the other. Lord Garuda's idol has 8 serpents as ornaments on the body. The temple is believed to relieve devotees from many doshas including serpa dosha. This is a very small temple and can get too crowded as many come here mainly to consult the astrologer adjacent to the temple in the same premises. The parking space is available in the by-lanes in the village.

Nice place. The priest briefly explained the story of the deity & place. Listening to stories in ramayana gives true proof of our culture and belief with showing how the epics are very much true with proofs.

The only Temple in which Garuda idol has snakes sculpted on it. The temple also has hunuman idol. Usually crowded on the weekends, so better be early. Take a NH route (Near Mulbagal), aviod travel through interior roads.

Went to this temple after few years. Gosh, good development. Try to go early in the morning. Have heard good positive vibes. If you're planning for astrological consultations, plan to spend almost the entire day (especially during weekends). Ample parking space near to the temple.
