One of the OG chinese restaurants in Port Moresby. They've been open so long they are serving second and third generation families. Their service is super fast and the meals are filling and delicious I haven't ordered a bad item from yet. One complaint is that the they haven't updated the look of the restaurant in a while and its starting to look a bit dated compared to other restaurants in the area.

The food is consistently tasty and has the best value restaurant fried rice in Port Moresby. Staff are attentive, helpful and friendly. This restaurant has been around for the better part of 3 decades and are still going strong. Regularly well stocked onsite fish tank ensures fresh fish and crustaceans of the season. The restaurant has established over the years a good supply chain that ensures they have high quality ingredients.

Quick service, really good food, authentic Chinese flavors, reasonable prices, the ever-smiling owner and his daughter (who also had the same birthday as mine) have lots of stories to share, ample parking space, and nice ambiance inside the restaurant all add up to the excellence of this long established restaurant. Two thumbs up! (2019-2020)

The oldest chinese restaurant in Port Moresby City. Varieties of food selection. The only restaurant that have stone fish in the menu. For regular customers the owner will recommend special dishes which not in the menu such as Lobster Shasimi, Shellfish, Sea Cucumber. Sunday open for Dim Sum yum ca only.

Chinese food and really quick service. Every time I place an order, I only need to wait 10 minutes for the food to be ready. If I'm not wrong this is oldest Chinese Restaurant in Port Moresby City and they have one of the most unique restaurant settings in the city as the restaurant is housed in a modern structure round "haus" with glass windows almost all the way around - which reminds me of the traditional round houses in the PNG highlands - but of course inside is decorated Chinese style.

Service is excellent, staff are friendly and the menu is great. Prices are moderate and affordable and the settings is pleasant. Great family feel and spacious. Would do with an outdoor bar and grill for night time gatherings.

Customer service is excellent. The venue is excellent. The food is very tastey and worth every penny.

I have been eating n getting take away from this place last 30 years. Their Houfan is perfect. Best I've tasted anywhere in the world, including Singapore and Hong Kong. They make their own fresh noodles for Sunday Dim Sum. If they added chilli in soy bean sauce on the side, in addition to just chilli sauce currently, it would make the best accompaniment to their dim sum menu which is again excellent as it is. Totally fresh. Happy CNY to Tony Tan and his family, owners of Golden Bowl. Never let me down yet.

Not bad Chinese food. I was expecting really westernized Chinese food but in fact, it was quite traditional. For what it is I would give it 5 stars, but I'm comparing to the Chinese food I have back in Sydney. Amazing setting and food.

Food is good

Beat yum cha in Port Moresby. We've been going for over 20 years. If you arrive later than midday all the best food is gone. Try the steamed vegetable dumplings. 5 or 6 dishes with tea and a can of coke will set you back approximately PGK90. It's good value for yum cha. Car parking is secure.
