😐 I’d have to agree with some other reviews who say that the food is not the most delicious but it does suffer at being affordable. The portions are good too and it’s a decent place in that you’ll feel like you’ve eaten well enough. They have vegetarian options too. People often mention good, Good, rice, affordable, price, taste, Singapore, vegan, dishes, serving,

5 stars for the price and because they serve vegan foods, 3 stars for the taste.

Great place to eat a mix of Singapore and Malaysia style food. Beers are 70 peso and they have a wide range of dishes with rice, noodles and soup with chicken, pork and beef. Prices are affordable, about 180-300 peso

I’ve stayed in Singapore for almost 5 years. Unfortunately, the taste of their dishes was not as near of true taste, authentic, legit, or what I call, “Auntie/Uncle food”. Their customer service was too friendly too, I even told one of our servers that in Singapore, majority of local Singaporeans working in the F&B industry are grumpy. Anyway, I loved how they tried creating a fusion between our local, PH norm taste and incorporated it with the Singapore and Malay dishes, its something new here in Manila. Yeah, I’ll probably try it again, but, i wont recommend them yet. I’d rather dine at Nanyang for a little more Singapore/Malay approach. Kudos with the amazing customer service.

Malaysian JB-rean here, I honest opinion, it does have the Malaysian - Singaporean hawker food taste. Its not perfect, but its almost there. The Meat Combination Plater its good but the crispy pork/lecheon is on the hard side. The Charkuehteaw, the Kuehteaw is on the hard side, no prawns and siham/cockles. Nasi Goreng is a good meal on the go. Atmosphere is top noch, no need for me to take pictures what other posters had already done. Overall, if you miss Malaysian/Singaporean food here, this is the place.

This restaurant harkens a vibe similar to Singapore's famous hawker stalls. Their Char Kuay Teow tastes amazing! The portions are fair. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. As per safety protocols, they also require a proof of vaccination upon entry. Highly recommended!

This place is not for people who do not like rice (or trying to avoid rice) and oily food! This is a place for carbo, starch and bad cholesterol loading!! My first time in this place was about 2 or 3 years ago when my former office was located somewhere near hear. I remember the heavy lunches and the sleepiness that follows after eating here. The interior if this place is quite catchy...imitating a street scene in Singapore (yeah! That small Asian island famous for its hawkers food)... while the taste of the food does not come near to that in Singapore, be assured that your hunger will be satisfied with the huge amount of rice they serve (choose from a variety like nasi goreng, Thai fried rice, yang chow fried rice). The rice may come as a set (depending on what rice you choose) that includes 3 pieces of oily fried chicken! Too bad the pandemic forced this place to allow take out only...you wouldn’t experience to eat inside to see and experience the “street scenery”. Even for take out, expect a lot of rice! And it also includes the sauces (hoisin, ginger and garlic) they are also famous for even if you did not order for Hainanese Chicken rice!

The perfect place for those Chinese or Singaporean food cravings. Easy to get to and reasonably priced. I also love their vegetarian meat selections. I always have my driver do takeout and will one day try eating in. There are just too many dishes that I want to try.

Please take note this restaurant might require you to present your vaccination card and a government ID. This is in accordance with Makati City ordinance. Please observe proper hygiene and cleanliness. This was our 2nd time dining at 101 Hawker. (The 1st visit I forgot to take photos because we were too focused on eating!) The interiors/ambience of the place did remind me of those hawker stores in Singapore. Food is very good and very affordable (please see my photos for the menu). Served on time and in good temperature. We had Yang Chow, Lechon Kawali, Mixed Satay, Butter Chicken, Beef Noodles and Salt-Pepper Pork. The proportions/serving sizes are very satisfying. Though I would not recommend the Mixed Satay because it was too thin to be satay. Other than that, overall experience was excellent. I'll be coming back to this place, and I will update everyone. Update Sept 21, 2022: Been visiting 101 Hawker again with friends and colleagues. Prices have increased but that's understandable due to inflation. But service and food still very very good.

Good food and fair prices. The dishes came fast and they were really tasty. They were also kind enough to provide a takeaway bag for leftovers which we couldn't finish. Three dishes for 500php only, recommended.

Value for the price 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼 We really love their food and services. Affordable and authentic. For a P175 Nasi Goreng set, you already have a satisfying meal - look at Ega's reaction on the photo! 🤣 I forgot the name of the others, but they are all super tasty! Will definitely come back again. P.S. They let us park our bikes inside! ❤️❤️❤️ Maybe because it's off peak hours, but we really appreciate how their staff accommodate their customers. 🌠

101 Hawker is one of the best places to get your vegan fix. Affordable and delicious menu. Nasi Goreng is their bestseller and definitely bang for your buck. They open at 6am and offer beer so my fellow nocturnals are happy lol The staff are accomodating. Comfort room is always clean which is a plus. This branch is a better than the one near Makati Med.

Tasty vegan options at an affordable price. Vegan laksa broth is good with noodles, carrots and veggies topped with tofu and fresh bean sprouts. My first time to taste Vegan char kyeow teow and truly didn’t disappoint, flavorful with the right hint of spiciness. Beef rendang is alright, could’ve enjoyed it more perhaps if vegan but generally good.

Affordable and delicious. You might be disappointed if you expect the usual Singaporean hawker fare. Food taste is excellent. Place a bit on the dark side. Fridays may be a bit noisy but not seedy due to beer servings. Don't want to cook for a group of 3? This is the place to go for cheap.

Service is fast and food is served piping hot. Loved the teh tarik and dimsum. Food items can be shared by 2-3 people.

  • 3/5 andy c. 1 year ago on Google
The fragrant rice here is pretty legit, ginger-y, Singapore chicken rice style. The Thai beef with basil dish however is unremarkable and lacking in Thai-style spice. Teh tarik is really just Lipton tea with milk. The staff is accommodating and nice.

The restaurant is accessible from the main road of the Don Bosco area though the front area is a bit dim at night. Interior is well furnished and you get the value for your money. Top pick is hakaw which may be a bit small from the usual serving size of other restaurants but tastes good and their bottomless mango juice for only P45. Rice topping meals are also affordable together with their noodle dishes. The crew are very polite and the service is fast. Wifi connection is also good. Restroom is clean though there was no flowing water from the faucet and no water from the flush but they provide a pail of water with a dipper.

Good enough experience. There is nothing special about the place, not bad either. We ordered rendang and nasi goreng. The serving size was just about right. But definitely not if you are hungry. I got like 8 small pieces of beef. Maybe 6oz steak at most. Nothing looks particularly appealing, but the taste holds true. No deserts, no soda water. No selection of juices.. fairly limited all round. The atmosphere is zero irrespective of the decor. The service is nothing special.

Ever since I dine in here (2018), and now 2023, the expectation is to eat the same quality but this surprised me even more! Tastier and promising menu like the Nasigoreng, Prawn Laksa, Hakaw and more! A must try dishes and you’ll never go wrong!

Hawkers at Beacon Makati, I think it is amazing that you are offering vegetarian alternatives for your customers. I had the chance to order your vegetarian yang chow today. Unfortunately, the one that was delivered to me has chorizo bits. Thankfully, I was able to get a refund right away. Having said that that, you need to be more careful and serious if you are going to do this. People follow certain diets not just because they want to be healthy, but mainly because of what they believe to be ethical. This makes it highly disrespectful for a restaurant to serve a vegetarian any dish that has meat on it when they have been very specific about their order. I encourage you to train your staff to do better. Offering vegetarian alternatives is not just a fancy way of attracting new customers; it’s a responsibility.

(Translated by Google) Both food and beer are cheap. Do not expect authentic taste. But it ’s not bad. I went to eat dinner because it was cheap, but recently the use of local drinking parties has increased, so it is popular enough not to be able to fill it. (Original) 料理もビールも安いです。本場の味は期待しないでください。でもまずくはないです。 安く済ませられるので晩ご飯食べに行ってましたが、最近ローカルの飲み会利用が増えて、満員で入れなかったりするくらい人気。

Only had time to order some appetizers.. The kuchay dumplings were great. The pork siumai not that much.. What I didn't like is that I saw lots of people wasting a lot of food. Maybe they should make a policy of charging people if they waste food

You get what you paid for in this resto. They have a great serving of laksa. It can loud at this place sometimes since they also serve beer here. They can improve on the lighting tho. Make it more attractive for dining.
