Very popular and famous restaurant within Coimbatore...they have put advertisements that they are in this bz since 50 years...have restaurants in multiple locations...but very sad to say that many areas needs considerable improvements...infrastructure, environment,hygiene,people, choice of food,presentation n delivery service...even parking space is awful ...was shocked to see end to end if such a reputable bz needs considerable improvements...have visited Mettupalayam, RS puram and near airport Branches.,..tried multiple times with family...less said the better...they arelike Udipi hotels inside State Bustands that did bz 50 years back...I distinctively remember that the same management put up a factory at Chennai, for making n selling ready to eat packed Veg tiffin items as early as 1980,; it didn't take off well...I think,they were little ahead of time...consumers were different at that time... I am unable to believe that it is the same management that is running the bz now...wish I have the powers to restructure their bz...God Bless them, they do not end up like Dasaprakash Hotels...

Annapoorna - The Pride of Coimbatore. Had South Indian Meals. All the items are excellent in taste. Very clean and hygienic dining area. The service also good. The meals cost is ₹130 including GST. Check the menu before ordering anything from this restaurant because everything is super expensive. We have ordered masala dosa ans bun porotta, they charge around 100 rs for masala dosa which i felt very expensive considering the quantity also bun porotta mashroom curry 100 rs which is also higher than the quality i really felt. So I thought its just a normal veg restaurant and they won’t charge much bit this is very expensive considering its a vegetarian restaurant. So be vigilant before ordering something from this restaurant check the menu and see the price list then order something

Authentic South Indian cuisine. A good recommendation for breakfast. Service is good. Tough to get a table post 8am. Got to wait for sometime. Coffee needs a lot of improvement, a little dissapointed with the coffee. Rest was good.

Sri Annapoorna Sri Gowrishankar is an amazing restaurant! Coming from a Tier-1 city, the quality of the food in comparison to the low prices is astounding! The food is homely and delicious; every chutney that was provided with the dosa was stellar! I especially recommend the rasmalai - the rich flavors burst in your mouth the moment you bite each of the mini-balls! Service is extremely fast (the servers practically stand by your table at all times) and the A/C dining hall is very comfortable. Will definitely come back the next time I’m in Coimbatore…

Loved the food here. Very heavy and rich. Loved every item we ordered. The masala dosa had dosa and masala rolled in it like a Swiss roll. Good service too. Despite being crowded, they managed to reach everyone.

Sree Annapoorna Restaurant is a great place to go for authentic and delicious South Indian cuisine. The food is always fresh and well-prepared, the service is friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. For me, the Annapoorna brand was the first 'hotel' we ate at during our childhood. It is a no fuss place. Their meter dosa still exists. All of 3' long and it is paper thin, glistens with ghee and is simply delicious. During lunch, you get banana leaf service. You sit, they serve, you eat, pay and leave. As simple as that. You get generous seconds, should you need them. The curd here is thick and served straight from the mud pot it was fermented in.

Suggested breakfast- mini tiffin. Had good sambar and chutney. Crispy uthappam. Costlier than most veg restaurants. Parking lot available. Restroom available. Hotel and restaurant are nearby.

Standard quality food. Dishes were tasty. Premium price paid for the food goes to the standard maintained by the group. Need to improve service at the sweets & Savories section. Had ordered an item and had to wait so long and got frustrated and cancelled order and came out.

One must only try the dosa to know how good it actually is. The three chutneys at first sight felt like it was just for decorative purpose. But the flavour of each one of the chutneys was so unique and tasty in its own way

Halted here for evening snack on the way to Kerala, I had the yummiest paper dosa here. It was very delicious and served with sambhar and 2 other chutneys, puri masaal was also good. Must visit!

Tried the most popular idly sambhar here but the taste was not that great. For lunch, tried their paneer fried rice and mushroom briyani, quantity was very less and the price was too high. In conclusion, this hotel is overrated.

**Dinner Service** I am so glad that I took this recommendation and went for dinner, even though it is the most popular and business during the morning breakfast rush. The service was amazing, fast, and with quite a menu. I was surprised to see such well-maintained and colorful menus, even though it was an in-demand and older place. They even have a sweets and hot counter outside, if you want to grab something on your way out. What we ordered: Sambar Idli - the sambar was exquisite, and the Idli was porous and soft, and absorbed the flavors of the sambar Onion Rava - came out of the kitchen quite faster than expected. It was well roasted, with a good amount of onions. The best part was it wasn't oily and was evenly cooked with a crunchy outside and softer inside. However, it folded over 4 times! so it's altogether a huge serving! Masala Dosa - well done and the potato curry in the middle is really good. Pongal - the sambar was the perfect match for it. The peppercorn was the right amount and soft, so it wasn't too overpowering, and I enjoyed that they didn't drown it in ghee. Puri- the puri itself was nice and fluffy but for me personally, I'm not a fan of masala curry and more of an authentic potato curry lover. So I would most likely not order this again Filter Coffee - was one the best I've had in a long time! And was true filter coffee, not instant coffee just served in a filter coffee utensil set. Served hot and with the right amount of sweetness, I assure you, even though it was dinner time, we all had a cup and it was the most satisfying ever! They were extremely well maintained, the service was speedy and the turnover and cleaning of tables were emasculate, honestly, we were impressed! We loved this place so much, we went back again for breakfast the next day!

Annapoorna is of course the legend of Coimbatore since the 1980s. The one on Mettupalayam road has the Central Kitchen and the food is a taste of its own. The sambar is out of the world and the Pongal dripping of ghee. Vada isn't the brittle crispy kind, but a soft one loaded with flavor of the Urad dal. Top it off with Coffee and you are set for the day.

Needless to say how good idly sambhar is in annapoorna. Delicious and hot idly sambhar as always . then we kids had ghee dosa and paneer Manchurian We preferred with less sauce and asked for it and we were served the same. Good one

As been a good admirer of Annapoorna over the past years.. This north region of Annapoorna has the worst Commodity ever. Their service is not friendly and the staffs are not even friendly and they dont even create a friendly environment. After i finished my dine in i went out to get a parcel. The parcel service is the worst. After so long time they gave the parcel of what i wanted. This Annapoorna branch needs to grow more in their service and privilege. The worst Annapoorna outlet ever.

Parking for 2 wheelers is a little less Ambience is good and they have maintained the hotel neat & clean We had unlimited south india meals which they gave in a big plate instead of banana leaf. While the service was good, you had to keep asking for one or the other. It would be better if they give meals in banana leaf and more responsive to frequent asks for refill

Located in beside of avinashilingam University and opposite to DFO office. This hotel is very much famous for Sambar. Sambar Idli, Dosa, Pongal, Sevai, Poori & Coffee are best. Also Milk Halwa, Rosemilk & Mango Shake are very tasty. Service is good.

i purchase parcel of 3 parota & mashroom dosa in tirupur deli fresh food court sree annapoorna , they given me the evening cooked parota . when i asked about this to billing dept Mr.Tamil . he answer irresponsible that he will service evening parota only because they can't able to make fresh parota . sambar was too smell being prepared in morning . such a reputed hotel serving in tiruppur is worst behaviors .

Offers tasty food like all their branches. Parking space very much limited. Their central kitchen is located near this branch. So, sambar tastier than other outlets (my personal opinion)

Experienced the same old awesomeness of annapoorna - curd vada. This is one chain that has kept it's name and it's taste for a decade+ Only downside to this location was the parking space - which was ironically available a couple blocks later. I wish they put a board directing us.
