Great park. Big place with a par 3 executive golf course you can walk for 9 dollars. Lots Of big trees. Batting cages, great parking, baseball fields and plenty of gazebos for parties or picnicking or pinatas. They even have a girls club and an indoor pool.

This park is pretty huge and offers a lot. Golf, batting cages, tennis, volleyball, horseshoes, baseball field, soccer spaces, rose garden, fire pit. Long walking trail around the park. Lots of tables and seating. Large play area. There are some homeless in the area but the park is so huge and people stay to themselves. Lots of restrooms but bring soap or purell as there is none.

This is a big park with baseball fields, basketball courts, tennis courts, a huge playground, and picnic areas you can reserve for parties. Had a nice little costume party for the kids. Was a good time. You will enjoy this park, whether for you or the kids.

Side walk and walking paths should be ENFORCED. there is Way too many people walking the literal street, putting themselves in danger and risking drivers. Why did you have to go to that park in that case?

This is a good park. Is it deserving of 5 stars? I would say that it's not spectacular by any means. It's not Griffith or the beaches or the mountains. However it is the kind of good park that we need lots of in LA. I'm giving it 5 stars because it is a great neighborhood park. It has a nice pool and nice amenities there. They should put a parking structure there and rip out more of the space for parking. Then we could have more green-space for simply relaxing.

The park is absolutely peaceful & has lots of families out & enjoying themselves, you got your joggers & walkers with their cute adorable doggies. The down fall is the restrooms the ladies is beyond disappointing & disgusting so if you are planning a day out at this park I advise you to bring your own seat covers & toilet paper and hand soap to wash your hands .

This park is not bad at all if you come for sports. Don't try to use the sport center cause they have a charge for every single thing inside. Not free at all!!. The restrooms around the park are so freaking dirty, can't even used them, very nasty with graffiti all over!

Love this park. Nearby and always filled with families and get togethers. Wide choice of activities from using their gym, the indoor pool, golf course, volleyball and tennis courts and you can have your events there. The park offers you the chance to rent an area with tables and shade for bday parties or whatever you want. Very calming place and cool and you hardly hear people playing loud music.

HOW COME THE PEOPLE THAT WORK AT THE PARK THE DON'T CLEAN THE RESTROOMS AND THEY ONLY LIVE ONE ROLL OF PAPER IT'S NOT LIKE IT'S PRIVATE OWN THEY RECEIVED MONEY FROM THE CITY AND THE CITY FROM TAXPAYERS THEY DON'T EVEN TRY TO AT LEAST USED WATER PRESSURE WE UNDERSTAND THAT THEY ARE PEOPLE THAT DON'T RESPECT THE RESTROOMS. DURING HOT SUNNY DAYS WE SEE THE WORKERS IN THE CITY TRUCKS PARK UNDER TREES WITH THE A.C RUNNING IT'S INCORRECT HOW THEY DON'T DO THE JOB RIGHT AND THE GET PAID GOOD THEY GET ALL THE TOOL'S TO WORK IN THE PARKS NEEDS DO THEY HAVE A SUPERVISOR ON SHIFT?? WE ONLY SEE THE WORKERS CRUISING UP AND DOWN THE PARK ON THE NEW TRUCKS ONE'S IN A GREAT WILD WE WATCH THEM WORKING ON A DIFFERENT TASK.. SO IF YOU AND YOU'RE FAMILY THINKING ON COMING TO THE PARK MAKE SURE YOU BRING YOU'RE OWN TOILET PAPER BECAUSE IT DOESN'T MATTER DAY OR TIME YOU WON'T FIND T.P.

"South Gate Park is a hidden treasure within the city, offering well-maintained grounds and a wide range of activities. Families particularly love the playgrounds and splash pad, while the abundance of picnic areas and open spaces make it a favorite spot for relaxation. It's definitely a place we adore! "During my recent visit to South Gate Park, I was captivated by its stunning landscapes and tranquil ambiance. The park boasts a picturesque lake, perfect for boating or simply enjoying the view. Taking a leisurely stroll along the trails left me feeling completely refreshed. It's an ideal destination for reconnecting with nature. "South Gate Park stands out with its exceptional sports facilities, impressing me as a tennis player. The well-maintained courts with excellent surfaces are a testament to their quality. The park also caters to basketball, soccer, and skateboarding enthusiasts, making it a fantastic place to indulge in sports and have a great time. "I recently attended a community event at South Gate Park and was amazed by the park's amenities and the strong sense of community. The spacious amphitheater hosts concerts and performances, creating a well-organized and enjoyable experience for everyone. South Gate Park truly fosters a sense of togetherness within the community. Been coming to this park since I was born and still come . It’s a great place to exercise or spend time with family and friends. Law enforcement is here all the time so you and your children are practically safe. No gangs, no druggies, no homeless . 5/5

This park is far from my house but it's worth the drive. They have handball courts, tennis courts, basketball courts, baseball fields, and more. They have two separate playgrounds for under 5 yr olds and the other playground for older kids. They also have a lil center where the kids could play with a wall that lights up to play something similar to Simon.

SOUTHGATE, PARK is a nice place to relax for a bit they have 3 or four bathrooms to make a pit stop ...BUT PEOPLE BRING THEIR DOGS ...IT'S NOT A DOG PARK SOME ARE RUNNING AROUND LOOSE SCARING THE SQUIRREL'S....I don't see anyone cleaning up after their dog either...If anyone wants to go to the dog park it's on Garfield and Hollydale you can't miss it. It's right side of the street on the corner

Very nice family park. Alot of playgrounds for the kids. I actually felt safe. Only thing people need to clean their mess after their events. Picnic tables were dirty and under. That was the only down fall.

This park is huge. It's got good facilities for baseball and other sports. The problem is that nobody goes here except Latinos, and if you are not Latino, you feel like an outsider. Whenever I have had to come to this park, the Mexican people stare me down. I have never seen other races here. I have the feeling that if you aren't Hispanic, you're not welcomed there.

Go to place to walk my dog. The park is clean and feels safe most of the time. However, I have encountered some uncomfortable situations with people. Sometimes you see the police making the rounds but most of the time they are in their vehicle on their phone. That doesn't make me feel safe but oh well.

If you like to play basketball, tennis, handball, baseball, golf, toss horseshoes, or enjoy running this is the park for you not to mention the pool and the sport center wich have classes like karate for kids and swim class. I really recommend coming here with the kids they have a few playgrounds for them in different parts of the large park. Go out and enjoy!!

Awesome park but its annoying how parents just dump the kids and stay on their phones. When youre trying to play with your kids you have a bunch of other kids trying to get your attention and no parents anywhere to get them off your back.

😐 Always liked this park for at least 15yrs. If you take your dogs, pick up after them. You want it to be nice but don't pick up after your pets, then it makes it a not so fun place. Restrooms are bad, one doesn't have a lock (Not difficult to replace) not sure why they put them if the city can't keep...
