My new fav vegan/dairy free dessert shop!! I feel like a normal person here. Texture and taste were great! Anyone sick of compromising vegan pastries...eating horrible dry texture to singular sugar on top of sugar taste?! Ditto. This place is a savior!! Gluten, wheat, egg, nut, soy, dairy free!! Vegan! $4.50 cupcakes, $1-$3 donuts, $1.50 cookies and more. If you're lucky, there's day old items!! Still delicious and way cheaper!! Takes credit card.

Vegan sister asked about this place and asked if we can stop by since it is on my route back home. Cake girl sits inside a pharmacy on the corner of 1st St and St. Louis St. Once inside we were greeted by local folk and other patrons that have opened their own space. To the left is Cake Girl and they have a nice display of the multiple vegan pastries available. I was able to show them pictures of what pastries my sister was interested in and they happily gave us our order in a box. My sister asked for three pastries: powdered jam filled donuts, strawberry churro cupcake, and cream filled chocolate cupcake. Mother was with me and she asked for the sprinkle donut. I asked for the plain strawberry. I enjoyed the plain strawberry and tasted the sprinkle donut. I enjoyed the donut very much and enjoyed the two folks behind the counter. Thank you.

One stop shop for all your sweet-toothed, allergen-friendly needs! Everything on the menu is absolutely delicious, vegan, and gluten-free! They typically require custom cake orders to be made 2 weeks in advance but they were able to make my birthday cake with just 1 week's notice (since my boyfriend and I discovered them only a week before my birthday). The staff is friendly and helpful and I cannot sing their praises enough. When you pull up outside, just know that they are located inside of an independent pharmacy- just head to back left-side corner and eat cookies, donuts, cupcakes, and cakes until your heart is content ♥ Inclusive baking is very near and dear to my heart, but these guys are on a whole different level- you can and will fool people into thinking these are made with wheat flour and dairy!

This was back in Sept. I got these cupcakes for my bday. I wanted cupcakes instead of cake. I wanted them to have the faces of my sister's cats and they were so delicious. I am definitely coming in to try some more favors.

Located in a …pharmacy, cake girl is my go to local vegan bakery. There’s not many in this side of town but thankful for them to offer variety and great pricing. They also post how their baked goods don’t have nuts which is always helpful. Thank you

If you want delicious gluten free and vegan cakes and donuts, look no further, Cake Girl is for you! Located in East LA, Cake Girl is nestled inside the St Louis drug company store. As you enter, you will see it to the right . I got 2 donuts, a brownie and a piece coffee cake, all under 20 dollars. The pastries are fresh and delicious. I loved the churro donut best. Because these cakes are vegan, they tend to be dense but I really enjoyed everything I tried. Parking is available on the street. Enjoy!

Amazing!! Highly recommend!! I got cupcakes for my partner’s birthday and they were all super good. You can’t even tell they are vegan/gluten-free/etc. Also the business owner is really kind. I will be back :)

They have been so wonderful through the entire process of ordering. I ordered a custom cake in advance and needed to change my pick up date twice due to unforeseen circumstances however Amy was so sweet and pleasant and had no problem assisting me with my updates. She has been so helpful and polite great customer service I can’t wait to taste this wonderful cake. I will definitely be ordering again🥰

Helpful & kind staff!! So cool that all their treats are vegan AND gluten free. They’re a hidden gem inside of a corner pharmacy. They also serve coffee & matcha with eco friendly straws!

Was in the LA area, so I googled vegan bakeries and this place popped up and I gotta tell you it did not disappoint! I wish we had a place like this in my hometown! All the items we had were very moist and flavorful. We will definitely come back next time we are in LA. Thank you Cake Girl!

If you need a delicious and beautiful birthday cake for plant-based homies, Cake Girl is the place! Amy was so responsive via email, and she worked with me on my child's birthday cake. Another gluten-free bakery on my list to try that I happen to be passing by. Love the selection, cakes are moist and the frosting is delicious. It’s located in a little pharmacy on the corner without much signage, so keep a sharp eye out. I went for the hostess cupcake which I always love. Also a churro cupcake and strawberry jam with sun butter. They also had some day-old cupcakes at half price, which is a great deal!

These were the best vegan gf cupcakes I have had in Los Angeles. I got the strawberry matcha, the strawberry churro, the hostess, and the apple cinnamon. All were so good, so moist, just the right amount sweetness. My friend who is not vegan gf was amazed. She said if I had not told her, she never would have known and this girl has a refined pallette shall we say. I also got a chocolate chip cookie. That was not really my speed as it was a bit more dry and crunchy. But I look forward to returning to get some donuts and breads to try!! Thank you Cake Girl for making my Birthday ACE!!!

The owner of cake girl is very sweet and very easy to talk to. She greeted me with smiles and answers any questions I had. No indoor dining or outside dining. Pick up only Check her out and get you a few treats! Y’all these treats are for anyone with food allergies or health issues that require you to stop eating things like dairy or gluten etc… They are light, moist, and not too sweet. Cake Girl makes it possible to still be able to enjoy the better thangs in life 😂 Everything she makes is: Vegan Gluten free Wheat free Egg free Diary free Soy free Peanut free Nut free ⁣ Pictured: Red Velvet Donut : Moist and full of flavor and pretty ✨ Churro Donut: Deliciously Moist and not too sweet ✨ Strawberry Churro Cupcake: Very moist, the strawberry jam in that mini churro on top was packed with flavor ‼️ Hostess Cupcake/ Great remake the the beloved hostess snacks but Vegan! Their gluten free, vegan pumpkin pie s’mores pie was amazing. I didn’t get a chance to try anything else, but I’ll absolutely be back.

I don't like vegan and they did not have low sugar options, as I'm a diabetic type 2. The coffee was good though and a nice pharmacy & pharmacist.

Best gluten free doughnut I've ever had, and I've been gluten free for 20 years! I wish I lived in the area to get them on the regular. Next trip to LA will definitely include a visit to Cake Girl bakery again!

Tried some vegan cupcakes and they were great. There are several choices in flavor and they also had donuts and a few cookie choices. Cakes are also available for purchase. I plan on going back for Thanksgiving desserts. This location has been here for 4 years and it's located inside the pharmacy. They have bar seating if you care to enjoy your treats there.

I stumbled into Cake Girl inside the Pharmacy. What a great set up with an old soda fountain counter. The raspberry Lemon donut is delicious!! Vegan and gluten free too ! What else can an Angelino ask for ? Will def make a special trip in going back to support this small biz.

Got to try this place just before they closed for winter vacation until January—and it was delicious! Got the strawberry churro cupcake and peppermint chocolate chip cookie; the strawberry jam to churro cupcake ratio was spot on! The owners were there at the store packing and ringing up everyone’s orders, and it was nice to see the people behind these beautiful baked goods :)

I was visiting from Seattle and looking for Gluten-Free places to check out (I have Celiac). When I saw the menu I hopped on a bus and headed straight here. Did not disappoint! There were so many things I just had to try, I couldn't help stocking up! Got a Strawberry Churro Cupcake, Cinnamon Coffee Cake, and a Chocolate Chip Cookie Sandwich! Such a treat when you can't eat gluten!

Purchase a vegan marble cake for my daughters baby shower and it was amazing! Sent a picture of what I wanted and it came out just as I asked. The cake is very dense and it was delicious!! 🤤Everyone was asking where I purchased it! Will use again!

Because Girl, these treats are both rich in texture and have ample flavor!! Also did I mention that they are allergen friendly!? I have a gluten and soy allergy, which can make finding quality treats difficult. Honestly, I felt spoiled with the amount of choices at Cake Girl! I am only able to share 1 of the 7 baked goods that I purchased…as the others have been either devoured or sampled on!Highly recommend the brownie, the lemon hibiscus, pumpkin s’mores, and the tomato “cheeze” bread! Looking forward to my next visit!

Delicious gluten free treats. Came here to get cupcakes for a birthday friend with dietary restrictions. Everyone at the gathering loved the cupcakes and when we visited the staff were very friendly and helpful. This is a new go to spot.
