This facility came in highly recommended and to be honest if I could give it a negative rating I would . The front desk is ridiculously un-organized and lacks professionalism . I called to schedule my dog to be neutered and the front desk told me someone would call me back to make the appointment I had to call three times to finally get it scheduled . Also , my puppy package was not applied so I had to front the money and then eventually they refunded me. Another time I called to schedule an appointment for my dog the person working at the front desk kept speaking over me and told me I was missing shots , I had to say mam I need you to stop speaking over me , I believe your referring to my cat and I’m talking about my dog , that seemed to be difficult to follow because she proceeded to tell me that my dog wasn’t on file after a few minutes She was able to finally schedule the appointment for the correct animal . Another time I took my dog in as I was concerned about something I went to sit in my car , at no point did they tell me they were going on lunch so I waited in my car for an hour until I called and then that’s when they let me know the nurses were on lunch . So naturally that was frustrating had I known I would have gone to lunch or came back at a later time . That same visit I walked in to check in they asked me where I parked make model of my car . After waiting 35 minutes from my appointment time I went in to make sure everything was ok they said the “nurse couldn’t find you “;I asked why they didn’t call they said they did but they didn’t call the number I checked in with they called my husband who was working . Again , when I checked in they asked me what number to call and yet they used another number . I will say Dr. Kaylee is nice and super sweet with my animals , that is the only reason why I kept coming back but sadly at this point I’ll be searching for a new location who have professional process in place who take care of their customers.

I will say the staff here is amazing very nice and kind. They all care so much about your dogs and are patient with you. But THEY will rob you from your money. Took my pet in because she had a high fever and for three days the Dr. had no idea what was wrong with my dog and I spend $1,000 each day for them to tell me they have no idea and to bring her back for more testing. It was unacceptable. Finally got a second opinion and my dog started feel better. When I told the Dr. I got a second opinion he had the audacity to tell me that the other doctor should of never prescribe any medication because she didn’t know what she was dealing with. He was salty that he didn’t get another grand from me. Don’t recommend this place at all they just want your money.

This is the BEST Animal Hospital in Southern California. The whole staff are very professional, caring, attentive and strive to take the best care of your babies. We have been coming here since 1988 and NEVER had a bad experience. We cannot say enough positive things about Dr. Dunbar, Justin and everyone else. We took cupcakes in for the staff on one of our boy’s birthday and many of the staff said “thank you” weeks after dropping them off.

I came here because I took my pet to get his vaccine. I don’t know much about them but would love to learn about them if these people gave me information. I got a booster for my puppy and they usually ask for a deworm, they said since he didn’t see a doctor I would have to come in again and pay another 28 dollars. Not a fan of overpriced vaccines that cost 8 dollars else where. On top of everything seems like they don’t care about animals. My dog is now sick after the week of getting his last shot and will not recommended my friend that just got a puppy. If the standard protocol is to recommended a deworm because they are puppies I expect the same service everywhere not because he didn’t have a doctors appointment. Never again will I trust this fancy place for its looks.

Love this place, I would recommend this place to my friends that have a lot of money. My dog psycho was very sick I brought her in and they managed to get her appetite back. The cost was almost $3,400 but they said they needed to keep her so that they could monitor her which was going to cost another $1,200, I asked if it would be okay if we took her home because I did not have that kind of money and I'm not sure but I don't think they have a payment plan. They allowed me to take my dog home with medications she did fine for the first 5 days but she passed away and left us. There wasn't much I could do except give her all the love I could and to make her comfortable. I found that if you have a lot of money they will do the best for your dog or cat, but I could not afford it and I had to sacrifice the life of my pet. But they are a very good pet hospital just not for people who don't have enough money and too much love for their pets. Thank you dr. Moore for everything you did!

Last night I visited Chino Hills Animal Hospital in what was one of the worst days of my life because I had to put my cat down. He was one of my dearest friends I've ever had and I loved him as much as I've loved anyone I am not related to. Amy and the Dr. were so wonderful to work with and they were so kind and sympathetic that they helped me carry the burden and made it a little lighter. I cannot recommend them highly enough and I count myself fortunate to have met such kind souls in this life. I didn't feel judged for being so emotional and they gave me exactly the amount of time and consideration I needed. I am so grateful they were there when I needed angels in my life. If there is a heaven, I hope it's filled with people like the people who work here.

This place is the BEST! I can't imagine taking my pets anywhere else. Staff here is so caring. I've been to other vets and this place is the real deal. I just wish I had started coming here years ago. I won't go anywhere else. Love it!!

First time at this facility. The receptionist was very attentive, many areas to sit, walls were nicely decorated. My pets were in for some blood work, progesterone testing, results back in about one hour. Timing is extremely crucial for my situation, I have found my new spot. There is a large staff, seems like everyone knows their rolls and they get to work. Very friendly, which is always a plus ➕, in and out...and this was a Saturday morning. Yay 🎈

The vets themselves are great, but the office staff, techs and communication is all over the place. I got conflicting information about surgery recovery several times. I had confirmed several times with the tech who scheduled his surgery that he would at least be able to go on a walk after a week. He's a high energy dog and I would have scheduled the surgery for a different time if that was not the case. The day of surgery they tell he has to be confined for 2 weeks. I want my dog to heal properly. It's also holiday time and that extra week makes a difference with a high energy dog and family in town. I would have scheduled it on a different day. No one seems to know what's going on. My latest visit was particularly frustrating. My dog got his stitches out and the vet tech couldn't answer any of my basic questions - Can he go for a walk now? Can he run now? Can he have a bath now? She had to go back for each question and still have a wishy washy answer. Eventually we just had to go home and google it. 🙄

Our pup loves the pet resort! He always gets so happy to play with the other pups. The staff is so friendly and knows our pup by name. They really treat them like their own. They offer cameras in the play yard so you can check in and also in the rooms for over night stays. We always feel comfortable if we have to leave our pup overnight, that he’ll be in good hands. A plus! They send us photos too, showing us how much fun he’s having.

I have used this Vet for now three of my animals, outside of the excellent care they've given, the staff is caring and wonderful, made sure our dog was comfortable before trying to examine him. All in all considerate and mindful staff.

I have been a customer of Chino Hills Small Animal Hospital for 28 years. They have always taken very good care of my animals, with the greatest of concern and knowledge. Everyone that works there, from the front office staff, the Doctor's and the VetTech's in the back, are always pleasant and helpful. I have had my share of emergency visits, and my dogs have ALWAYS gotten the best of care, and love. I appreciate all that they have done over the years, and am very comfortable knowing that they are some of the finest Veterinarian's available to me, and for my dogs.

This office is shady. They failed to inform me that stool samples need to be returned within 30 days or forfeit the fee. I was made aware when I walked in with my cat's stool sample. No apologies, no discounts, nothing. The office supervisor claimed they called to remind me I had two weeks to return the stool sample. They may have called to remind me to bring it in, but not to let me know about their 30 day rule and/or forfeiting my fee. How convenient. So now to get the stool sample tested, I need to make another appointment ($60) and pay the stool sample fee again ($56). No thanks. I'm taking my business elsewhere.

OK, so the staff is amazing and the facility is very clean and aesthetically pleasing. HOWEVER... prices are definitely the highest I have ever seen. Not sure if that's due to the fact that they also treat large/farm animals - but $740 to spay a 10 month old cat with no health issues at all seems excessive. If you have extra cash to spend on your pet, then definitely go here. But if you're on a tighter budget for your fur babies, maybe go elsewhere.

Love the Staff and Services at this resort/pet clinic. We just went in for updated vaccines for my 8 Year Old German Shepard/Husky Mix named Chula and they were very nice and made sure I knew what services needed to be done also provided some recommendations for my dogs nails that needed to be trimmed. Took at least an hour which wasn't too bad I came in at 8:00am as a walk in and they were very nice with me. Always enjoy going to the clinic because I know my dog will be taken care of even if it is using the pet resort boarding services for a week stay. Haven't had a bad experience since I've gone there for the last 2-3 years. Still recommend their services to people I know at the local dog park.

I was so fortunate to get a same day appointment saving having to pay the high ER Veterinarian rates. My sweet cat Ollie is feeling so much better. I could not afford to do all the test that could be useful but what was certainly needed I could do. Thank you so much for helping Ollie.

Chino Hills Animal Hospital saved the day when my dog ingested something he shouldn't have. They acted swiftly, taking him in immediately. What sets this place apart is the transparency – being able to witness the vet in action during procedures/check-ups instills confidence. Affordable prices, a spotless environment, and genuinely friendly front desk receptionists make it a standout. I've decided to switch vets from Pasadena to here, and I'm thoroughly impressed with the care and service they provide!

I have gone from Vet to Vet trying to find the right one for us. I noticed that they had some breeding expertise and thought I would give it a try. I saw Dr. Dunbar with an appointment and probably waited no more than 15 minutes. The staff was super nice and I know I will return for other visits. I’ve already scheduled two. I have been to other vets where I have received vaccinations and bloodwork and spent $600. This was about $330, so they’re not outrageously expensive and personally, I think if you want repeat clients, your prices need to be reasonable. I lost a beautiful collar for my girl while there and called the receptionist who went looking for it and found it! I checked out the resort and the dogs looked playful and happy and there was definitely supervision.

Always have had good experiences. 2022 Update: Needing to board our new big pup. I am very impressed with the boarding facility and the friendly staff. I was able to watch my pup ease into her assessment day, get some love, and then crash when she got home! Love that the dogs get to run and play together, not alone in a kennel all day. ❤️

They do everything adequately, but it does feel like you and your pet is just a number they are trying to churn through and get paid out for. For such a large staff, I rarely go in and feel like anyone genuinely cares to be there. They also charge a premium for all their services.

It's my first time having my baby boy dog, Chester, treated medically and staying at the Chino Hills Animal Hospital and pet resort. He will be there for 1 week, and so far I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THEM!!! I was so worried, as my dog is ill and very sensitive, but I'm not worried any more! I met my new vet, and she was awesome. Looks like a very well run establishment, with lovely, kind, responsible and flexible staff. Ask me again in a week if you like, but so far so 👍good!!!

Our dog, Winston, was seen for his Senior Wellness check today, and his appointment went very well. We've been coming here for almost three years and every time is stellar! They really do care and are always very professional. Dr. Sharp was very thorough during the exam and handled Winston with care, making suggestions and giving helpful insight on how Winston can maintain a healthy life. The veterinary technician, Jasmine, who assisted during the appointment was so gentle when administering Winston's shot and taking his temperature, that he didn't even make a sound. This has never happened. She was great! Thank you so much Chino Hills Animal Hospital for always offering our family such an amazing and wonderful experience.

I have to say, the actual service/resort is amazing. We love bringing our dog here, however the waiting to speak to someone on the phone is awful. Every time I call to have a question answered is always "please hold" then I am on hold for over 15min until I hang up. I don't have the time to be waiting on the line. Your recording says " YOU VALUE OUR TIME" You need to make this better, or hire a receptionist that can answer simple questions.

  • 1/5 Son G. 11 months ago on Google
If your pet is having issues this place absolutely will not contact you under any circumstances due to their contract stating anything can happen to your pet even death (at least according to the manager that’s the reason). Even if they aren’t eating or feeling well. It’s understandable that a pet feeling depressed wouldn’t eat or feel well but what isn’t understandable is not contacting the owners regarding their pets health. After all what is the point of paying for any service if there is a lack of basic communication?

  • 5/5 Jonathan L. 1 year ago on Google
The staff treated my dog Palmer so well at the resort. If fact it was hard getting Palmer to leave at the end of the day. Also the hospital took really good care of him during his visit. They went above and beyond, even to give him his treatment out side because he was too nervous to go in. Amazing is not doing it justice!

  • 5/5 Charmaine T. 6 months ago on Google
I had a really positive experience going here. Dr. V and Vet nurse Christine was super helpful and explained clearly what my dog Boris needs. The price for the procedure i think is reasonable. I don't feel rush and they take time to listen to my concerns and provide meaningful answers. The front office staff are always friendly and helpful and ready to answer any questions. The facility is clean I can smell the cleaning products before coming in to the room. Highly recommend this place. Looking forward to try the Pet resort facility in the future.

All of the staff members were really nice, caring, and comforting to both me and my hamster. Had to take her into the ER to get stitches on an open wound, and they all handled her with great care every step of the way. Now she’s back home and happily getting back to her normal routine!

I love CH Animal Hospital ! My dog Franklin regularly participates in the doggy daycare. The staff is great and he comes home ready to nap for a few days. I love taking him there because unlike my local dog park all the dogs there are vetted to ensure they are healthy and current on their vaccinations. My dog has never contracted any virus or sickness while boarding or in daycare. Thanks staff you all rock !!

My last experience was to say the least aggravating. I was lied to by the staff who told me in the middle of a pandemic that my dog is required to have a physical exam if I needed a progestrone test to establish a patient client relationship..... ARE YOU KIDDING ME 😳 $$$$ Than I get the progestrone test and was told it would take an hour to get the results and when the results came in 6 hours latter my female could only be mated under an emergency care appointment via Surgical AI since the office is closed during the day for regular appointments and there only taking emergency only how convenient. I go to Butchko there to dam crowded the wait is no less than 5 hours pack a lunch. Count your fingers and toes I sware.

They seemed nice enough, but didn't explain anything to me about what was going on with my rabbit's teeth. They just met me out front and took him to the back then brought him back to me and told me how much I owed ..I kinda thought they would explain to me why his teeth were growing so long and what to expect, like if it will happen again. This was my first time there so I guess my expectations were a lot higher. Also why do they ask for your employer and drivers license number ? I thought that was sttange, is that normally what vets do ?

**UPDATE** Nov. 17, 2020 Our beautiful senior dog (about 14-15 yrs old) was feeling ill. Vomiting, tremors/seizures, incontinence, cough (which we attributed to hairballs). Preying on our feelings of helplessness, they told us they'd do tests, run an x-ray, provide meds for anti-seizure, anti-vomiting, and a 2 wk worth antibiotic. YES! 2 weeks' worth of antibiotics in ONE shot, (Total cost almost $1000). Humans take an antibiotic over the course of 2 weeks for a gradual absorption into the body. It seemed like a lot but we trusted that they knew what they were doing. We were told she had pneumonia and a mass (possibly a tumor). They kept her for 6 hrs. for so-called observation without food or water until I asked them to give her something since she hadn't eaten or drank anything since the previous night. We were told that she "didn't like the food" and "tried to bury it", which is total BS considering we've NEVER seen her bury anything and she was so weak when we brought her in, she could barely walk. Nov. 18, 2020 appx. 9:30pm Our senior girl breathed her last breath. Had they been honest and told us that there was nothing they could reasonably do for her since her illness and age were so advanced, we could have just taken her home and keep her comfortable. We would have respected that and had that extra time, now lost, instead of laying in a cold clinic with unfamiliar faces, no water, and no food being injected with God knows what. Now she's gone and they've collected their fee. And we're left empty-handed and lost. Thanks for nothing...
