Was sent here for an excruciating injury. Dr Holden specialized on the upper limbs so I was sent to see him. Day of the surgery he came, spoke to me, I asked him to fix me up and I don’t even make reviews. This man earns every dollar he makes. He kept me in check with the recovery timeline, advised me of post op care, therapy, etc. Can’t thank this man enough. He’s empathetic and extremely gifted in his skill. Would recommend others.

Bill Thompson is fantastic. He is caring, knowledgeable and really listens to what you have to say. He takes his time and does not rush through the appointment. Bill shows great concern for your issues. The front desk is extremely kind and helpful. I highly recommend Garden State Orthopedics.

Dr. Holden and Dr. Shamash are both great! They are both very friendly and take their time with you. They explain everything and really seem to care about their patients. The staff is nice, but a little stressed out and get snippy at times, but that's probably because the office is understaffed. Phone calls to the office are not fun. Most of the time it seems like they are doing too much and are trying to rush you off of the phone. Getting an immediate appointment seems to be impossible, and don't even try to reschedule your appointment, you'll wait at least two weeks. The best things are the doctors I've dealt with are cool and there's rarely ever a wait to see the doctor.

It was my first time visiting the office. Staff at the front desk were kind and welcoming. The physician assistant Van Grouw was very knowledgeable and caring. Was also very attentive to my description of pain on my wrist and lower arm. Would definitely recommend this team for any orthopedic concerns. Morales

My experience at GSO today with Dr. Justin Van Grouw was very pleasant. My wait time was only about 10 minutes and Dr. VG was very personable, kind and attentive. He couldn’t have been any nicer. I wouldn’t hesitate to see him again if the need arises. TY

My first time to this practice, I found PA Jeffrey Lee to be knowledgeable, engaged, and pleasant. He was generous with his time and outlined a reasonable course of action to address my issues. A needed prescription was called in before I left. I left feeling well cared for by him and the friendly staff member who took my information when I arrived. There was no wait. They were ready to help me when I arrived.

The P.A. Mr Thompson is thorough and addressed my painful shoulder. It’s already feeling better!!! Being able to get the X-ray right in the office was so convenient. I highly recommend going to Garden State Ortho.
