Elavators take 10 minutes to show up,better off walking 8 flights up. Our door lock was broken and was able to be pushed open. The lamps in the rooms all had one dead bulb. The outlets by the bed didn’t work had to move nightstand out of the was to find another. They also conveniently closed the gym as soon as we arrived, and we were informed it roundly be open until we left. The pool was lovely as well. Place would be nice if it was kept up but it hasn’t been.

My stay at this hotel was a nightmare. On the first night, my companion and I discovered a bed bug in our room. We immediately informed the front desk, but they didn't seem to be phased by it. They simply gave us a new room five levels up, which was also stained and poorly maintained. Feeling unsettled and unsafe, we decided to cut our losses and check out early. However, the hotel refused to give us a refund because of An infestation of bed bugs. It was a terrible experience, and I would never recommend this hotel to anyone. If you're looking for a clean and comfortable place to stay, this is not the hotel for you. The lack of concern for guest safety and comfort is unacceptable, and I will never stay here again.

We did not actually stay. Two live cockroaches in our room. No manager available to speak with (at 3pm on a Tuesday I might add) We switched to the Marriott which is much cheaper and nicer. Still awaiting to hear if they will refund our nearly $300. We are in town for a funeral and were late for the viewing because the first room was not what we booked (only 1 bed and pullout instead of 2 beds and pullout for 5 people) so we had to go back to desk, relocate, and then we found the roaches. This hotel is poorly managed and has failed us in a time when we just wanted a clean comfortable place to stay in the midst of dealing with and guiding our children through a loss. Sorry crowne plaza, but you are a disappointment. There should be a manager available at all times, at least during the day.

What a pleasant stay! In decades of traveling, I do not believe I have met such a genuinely nice staff. Front desk, housekeeping, restaurant and bar staff were all outstanding! Rooms were well kept, dining was good, the pool area perfect for recreation.

I had left my channel earrings in the room which I understand it was my responsibility but I called the next day to see if it was still there in the room I was in and the guy said to call house keeping the next morning. When I called the next day i told the lady i lost my earrings and I didn’t say what kind of earrings they were she just instantly knew it was Chanel so i figured they must have found it. She said they will go in the room and check again since no one else stayed in that same room since i was there, which was odd because if she knew what kind of earrings they were why would they look for it. I had told her where i had placed my earrings in the room. She asked other people if they have seen it and told me they will go and check for it. I have not received a call back but when I called again the guy picked up again and said they couldn’t find it. I will not be coming back and for sure will take better care of my things but it’s the fact that the workers feel no sympathy for lost expensive items and will steal it!

Hotel seems to be in really good condition, our room could have been cleaned a little better (potato chips and crumbs on the floor), but overall we liked it. The restaurant is nice and the food and drinks are fantastic. Front desk was super helpful throughout our stay!

Stayed here for a week and some days due to it being close to my job site and the staff here is amazing and very accommodating. From the managers, front desk agents, staff and restaurant staff; all very nice and helpful. I didn’t need much being that I bought my essentials but rooms were clean and and free of that weird smoke smell in a lot of hotels, plenty of food options near by. Didn’t swim but checked out the pool area and that was nice as well. The area looks a little shady because of the street and plenty of 18 wheelers but it didn’t feel unsafe at all. Any guests I ran into were friendly as well and a lot of families while I was there. I’d recommend for places to stay for business or leisure! Thanks again!

My "go-to" hotel anytime I have business in Northern NJ or NYC. Location is very convenient and rates are reasonable. The front desk is beyond helpful. Erika is typically at the front desk when I've checked in and I have never been treated better! Always friendly, helpful and "above and beyond" - without exception. Then there is the restaurant/bar...host Eddie, Like Erika, Eddie "top drawer". Quick with a greeting, a handshake and a cold bottle of water. Drinks are generous and the food is good. If I could give Service more than 5 stars, I'd do so.

Rooms are too dark, and the lights are not bright enough. The front desk is a little slow to check in and out. Nice lobby , nice customer service. My favorite part is the restaurant on the 12th floor. Really nice pleasant ladies serving us. Special thanks to them😉. Thank you, ladies.

Honestly, I travel a lot. This stay was superb. Mattress and pillow were so comfortable. Front desk fabulous. The only thing missing here is good restaurant. Limited menu and food is not that good.

I would have to give the room 0 stars due to the sheets being filthy. The employee at the front desk was able to move my boyfriend and I to a different room but in the room they changed us to the sheets were still dirty. I was disgusted. I’m going to reach out to management to ask for a refund. Other than that, the staff was very nice but the rooms weren’t.

The room looks new but dirty. The equipment in the bathroom is faulty. There is a smell of weed coming from the air conditioner. The bathroom was filthy, hair in lumps came out from between the towels. The receptionist acts as if she is paying for your room out of hes own pocket. In short, you can stay only for the location. Everything sucks

I am not a nit-picky person, but I think people should be aware before they book this hotel. Pros: -convenient location -comfy beds -view of the glittering NYC skyline (at least in my room) -cool circular hotel Cons: -apparently there are dance parties/weddings every weekend on the 12th floor. I was on the 7th floor and could hear the music/bass. Other customers I spoke with in the elevator also made mention of this (staying on different floors) and were not pleased. I was able to fall asleep because I was extremely tired, but management needs to figure this out-especially for a Crowne Plaza. Just be aware that if you stay here on the weekend, the music will be bumping into the wee hours. And good luck if you have kids. -Train is right next to hotel -no USB ports for charging phones Overall it was fine for the one night I needed it for.

I recently stayed at the Crowne Plaza in Saddle Brook, NJ, and was extremely disappointed with the service. The staff, particularly an employee named Emily, displayed a high level of unprofessionalism that significantly impacted my experience. The staff members, including those at the reception, were often distracted, eating chips while attending to guests, and handling personal items without permission. This lack of basic etiquette and professionalism was concerning. Furthermore, the employees, including Emily, were not fully attentive during interactions, as they wore headphones and seemed disengaged. This made communication difficult and left a poor impression. Overall, my experience at this hotel was marred by these issues, which I believe are not reflective of the standard one would expect from a Crowne Plaza establishment. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and that measures are implemented to improve staff training and customer service.

Hands down one of the worst hotel experiences I have ever had. Following a second full night sleep without any issue, we were accused of smoking in the room by a loud knock at the door. No smoking occurred in the room (both individuals don't smoke), and we were IMMEDIATELY TOLD TO LEAVE THE ROOM AND WE HAD 20 MINUTES TO LEAVE AND THEY WERE CHARGING US 250 dollars. No one was willing to speak with us about the issue, beyond blaming / accusing and telling us that we needed to leave. Photos and videos were taken of the room to show to our credit card card company that we were not smoking; and WE INIATED A CHARGE BACK. Rooms are equip with smoking alarms; however, no alarms went off. Other reviews identified this same problem. We also started an inquire with IHG. And will follow up regarding our treatment. This is completely unacceptable.

One of the front desk girls decided to announce my room number out loud to the lobby full of people which is incredibly unprofessional, I couldn’t believe it. I’ve worked at Hilton and this is rule #1 of what NOT to do. She also asked me for my address and age as if she couldn’t READ my ID. Its amazing they work here, really. Also, I ordered a king room, and they gave me two beds, which they didn’t even mention. Unbelievable.

Yvonne Was excellent at the breakfast/ restaurant on the 12th floor! She went above and beyond to make sure my kids ate well. Hotel is very clean and service was 5 stars. Highly recommended. Thank you Yvonne for your amazing service!!!

The location was ideal. The service of 4 stars is strictly for the bartender at the restaurant; he was so nice and attentive. We checked in late and were told our room had been canceled. We said we would go home and were then told a room with 2 queen beds opened up due to a cancelation from the wedding party. We decided to stay and didn't get to the room until much later as we went to the restaurant. The floor we were on was very warm so entering the room felt cool by comparison. At 1a realized why this room was still available. The air conditioner was not working...the room was hot, the unit sounded like an engine revving and shutting off every 5 minutes. We then kept hearing clicking sounds. We tried to get through the night however by 4a we had to leave.

Well, they finally got the elevator fixed... so no more 20 minute waits to get to your room. The staff is excellent, but the hotel is gradually losing it's luster with me. No luggage carts are ever available... this is a major pain if you stay for lengths at a time. The TV goes out all of the time. It's an older hotel, and it shows (loose fixtures, stained carpet, etc). Want to out by the pool? There are no tables, only chairs. According to staff, this is to "prevent partying". The guests really make the experience, and this place gets some really rude groups that make the stay miserable, especially with 1 elevator. The hotel has no control over this, but large groups of extremely rude people that block parking, block the elevator, and let their offspring run around like wild animals (no exaggeration) really turn this place into a total zoo during the weekends. The recent $100+ per night price hikes have me staying elsewhere. Hopefully they straighten this place out. There are many local choices that are much nicer for the same money.

Room was good. Just one single sofa, bathroom was clean, beddings comfortable, enough room space, wifi very good considering our room was on 9th floor. Restaurant had good seating arrangement, good food varieties but they charged us 3.5% credit card fees extra if you use that method to pay for food. Excellent complimentary parking and it is about 1 hour drive to Brooklyn in New York. Overall, the hotel is good place to stay if you want to avoid the exorbitant prices of staying in New York. Also, close to Newark airport.

My husband and I booked this hotel. while attending a giants NFL football game. We were excited to be staying in the local area. However much to our concern and disappointment during our stay, we saw a large ROACH in the lobby area near the elevator. We pointed this out to the receptionist. And she called over a maintenance worker who killed the roach. And that was their extent of fixing the problem. Needless to say, I was grossed out and very concerned about our items. And are personal health and safety. We asked to speak with a manager. however, they informed us none was on duty at that time and someone would get back to us later that day. That was very disappointing as we weren't sure that we felt comfortable staying over that night in that environment. When we went to the room, we were on high alert, searching everything and fear of having critters in the room with us and going back home with them. The manager then called us at 9:30 PM while we were at the NFL game. Couldnt hear her in that environment So we made plans to speak with her later. At which point she was not working and we have not heard back at all.

This is the most dangerous and unsanitary hotel I have EVER stayed in, with staff members who do not do their very simple jobs and are extremely rude. Want soap to wash your hands after using the bathroom? Find another Hotel (No soap EVEN in their restaurant bathrooms!). Do you want clean towels to shower with after their dangerous food gives you dairrhea? Find another hotel. Do you want SAFE food to eat? Find another hotel. Do you want a hotel where staff members do the very BARE minimum so you have sanitary conditions and basic required amenities? Find another hotel. None of their restrooms had any soap, including their restaurant bathroom! Yes, that means you have to use the toilet then rinse your hands with only water, then return to eat your food. Extremely gross and unsanitary!! Their restaurant sold me FAKE dangerous food. I ordered the Impossible burger and they gave me some cheap supermarket chunky veggie patty instead (not on their menu) and their staff LIED to me about what they sold me. I asked more than once and they looked at me in the eyes and told me it was an Impossible burger, when it was CLEARLY not. It was grey with huge vegetable chunks. I ate it anyways as to not waste food, and it made me sick!! I woke up the next morning with awful diarrhea from their fake illegal version of their "Impossible" burger and I wanted to take a shower since I was sick and on the toilet with the runs for almost an hour. I called to ask for a towel. There was only one staff member who said that I had to come to the lobby for the towel. I said no problem and went for the towel. I got partially dressed and went down to the lobby to get a towel. No one was there. I waited 10 minutes, went back upstairs and called again. The staff member lied to me and said they were there the whole time! I had JUST waited 10 minutes at the lobby desk for towels after calling, and no one was there. The staff put me on hold for about 10 minutes, then told me to come back down for towels again. I told them I just came down for towels and no one was there! I had to go back down (from the 11th floor) and it took me over 30 minutes to finally get any towels, JUST to take a shower in the morning after their food made me sick for an hour. When I confronted the staff member about not doing their very simple jobs and for lying to me, when I just wanted a towel to shower with in the morning so I could start my day, they were extremely RUDE! They lied to me and slammed their office door on me. Then, they returned with a SINGLE towel! They said that they ran out of clean towels (at 6:30 AM). When I shared my experience with the hotel manager, he was also extremely rude and constantly spoke over me. The only thing he did for me was refund me for $30. He was as useful as his staff members, who did not do their very simple jobs (leaving you with an extremely unsanitary hotel that does not provide the VERY basics). What an awful form of compensation for being sold fake food, being made sick, having zero soap for my entire stay, dealing with extremely rude staff who lie, create unsanitary and dangerous conditions and who withhold basic amenities such as towels. I should have called the Impossible Brand before complaining so this place could get in serious trouble for illegally selling burgers under their brand. This place would have been in serious trouble! The hotel manager said he took care of it, so I saved him and his hotel from a MAJOR lawsuit.

It was an alright stay, nothing special. The restaurant has a really cool view of the New York city skyline, the rest of the view from the top is nothing special. Skip breakfast at the restaurant and walk to Midway Bagels across the parking lot.

The hotel is nice. Good location/plenty of parking. The only downside is the older gentleman who greets guests near the front doors. He often stares at people, making me (and others) uncomfortable. I don’t think he means any harm, it is just in his nature (a bit weird in my opinion but that’s just my opinion)

In the center of all major roads including GSP but you need directions on how to come and leave. Traffic very busy at rush hour. Excellent staff makes up for a clean but older full service hotel. Popular for local meetings. Less expensive than surrounding newer hotels. Eat in or local dining and take out.

Hi. I booked this hotel for my kids to enjoy the pool. I have 2 boys. They were ready with their swimming suits thinking that they will enjoy with their parents. However, it was a disappointment when we learned from the front desk that the city didn’t approve the pool’s opening. This is not our fault and definitely not our kids. They deserve the best. I contacted the third party where I booked the hotel through that they wanted to talk to the manager about canceling. The manager wasn’t here and the front desk associate informed that they will be back on Monday as I asked the third party to cancel but they said they have to talk to the manger.

The food service was exceptional. My room not so much. It was very small. The toilet was running constantly. The shower is not safe. I fell coming out on the slippery floor. I did not get hurt just a bruise on my elbow. However it could of been worse. There weren't any safety bars or shelves to place shampoo& other necessitys.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. Yesterday, I came in to have a good time for memorial day weekend. I planned to enjoy the hotel pool since it was a hot day. The result was that the pool was closed, which wasn’t disclosed before the booking. Also, the toilet in the room that I was assigned was not flushing. Therefore, The receptionist was kind enough to get me into another room. When I requested to speak with a manager, they didn't have anyone because that person was on vacation, and someone else would be in the morning. Because of the complaint about everything that I had on the plate, Ms.Smith gave me a continental breakfast voucher in which I was told that they close at 11 am. When I got there at 10:00 am to the Skyview restaurant, they were already close, and I couldn’t order anything to eat either. This morning, When I spoke with someone about the situation, she tried to assist at her best. However, I still was required to talk with a MANAGER, which resulted in that they didn't have a general manager and that I had to wait for JUNE 8th to speak with the accountant manager.

We were originally booked to stay at the Marriott which is near this hotel however I felt that the Crown Plaza would be better. I was mistaken, this hotel is in need of renovations. In fact the entire surrounding area speaks volumes as to the quality of the hotels. When we checked in on Friday, we asked for late check out which was fine if I signed up for a membership. When it came time to check out late on Monday they had no details of this in their system. There were huge maintenance issues in the bathroom, the toilet would flush and it would come through the drain in the middle of the bathroom floor. It smelt really bad. I spoke to the front desk and they were aware of the issue but were annoyed that even though we asked to check out later when we first checked in. It became an inconvenience for them because they wanted to fix the issue. Without letting us know there was a problem even though we were aware. We checked out earlier than 2pm because the smell got worse. The guy at the front desk said they may contact us to give us compensation but I highly doubt it since it seems like the building needs renovation. Overall, it was not a bad stay, the staff and the hotel restaurant are great! The room was clean and the bed was comfortable, the wifi worked well and the pool is a great asset.

Check in was super fast & rooms were clean. TV was a little small for the size of the room. I ate at the restaurant all 3 nights I was there and the bartender there was amazing. Despite being the only one there helping guests he was always quick with refills and service.

Woof. Where to start? The rooms... bathroom door needed to be pushed with force from the top to latch. A handful of outlets for charging. You get a view of.. a wrecked parking lot. As for service, more roughness. The front desk seemed nice enough but the food service staff was a train wreck. It all felt like the hotel was out of management control. Imagine a family randomly buying a hotel and figuring things out as they went along. This was NOT a Crowne Plaza experience in any way, shape or form.

I love that the entire hotel is non-smoking so there is no chance of having to smell cigarettes in any way shape or form. There is ample parking, a nice big lobby, and the elevators seemed to be in great shape. We got a standard room with two beds. Our room was very clean, and the beds were comfortable. Bathroom was nice and roomy and very clean as well. Good size shower with both a regular shower head and the big overhead rainfall showerhead as well. A little paint lifting on ceiling over shower, but nothing drastic. The Wi-Fi was excellent. We didn't partake in the breakfast so I can't comment on that. My only complaint was that they didn't take cash for the payment. They had a credit card on file from when I reserved the room over the phone, so I'm not sure why cash was unacceptable for my in-person payment method, but the guy who checked us in said that they haven't accepted cash since 2018. Not a real big deal in my case, but I think they should clearly state that on their website. They also put a hold on my card for an additional 50 bucks that I was not aware of. It was released upon check-out. Maybe that is the norm, but I think the receptionist should inform you of such when you check in. No receipt was given or offered upon payment either, so you have no way of knowing. Other than that, I was very pleased and will be using this hotel the next time I'm in the area.

Wonderful hotel staff! Clean rooms with work AC which is a must for me. Very well priced considering comparable hotels in the area. Resataurant/bar on site was above average with convenient hrs considering I arrived late. The 24hr gym is EXCELLENT! very hard to find a hotel in this price range that offers as much as this onedoes! IMPRESSIVE! My only negative mark was on location because I travel to NYC for work & it was only slightly inconveniently located. not many options for walking distance restaurants but makes up for it by providing a good dining experience on the top floor. Saving this one to my favorites!

We liked the clean room, very comfortable king size bed, nice hot shower. We like very much restaurant on the 12th floor and its director and Eddie Aziz. He made a cozy feeling of having a dinner at home.

The service here is what makes it great. First night I arrived everyone at the front desk was welcoming and made sure either had what I needed. The guy that works the bar at the restaurant at night on tuesday and thursday took care of me and made sure I had a solid meal for the night. He deserves the most praise as he had great customer service and made sure I was taken care of after a long travel day. Everyone here was great and a solid team taking care of the customers and the facility. The people here is what makes the difference. All around solid staff and deserve all the praise.

If you plan on sleeping in this hotel, just stay somewhere else, the loud music is priority over paying customers. You can pretty much hear it on any level. Do not stay. Complete trash if you ask me. If the owner happens to see this don’t leave a sappy comment. Get rid of the parties upstairs or you just don’t care for anything but the money you get from them. I reported this hotel to IHG management also. This place is absolutely disrespectful and if you want to know what a 3rd world country is like just try sleeping in this hotel. No one cares about you.

Stay at this hotel regularly when working in nnj. Rates are reasonable, front of the house staff is great, top of the hotel restaurant has a nice menu and is reasonably priced. As I prefer hotels with gyms they do well here as well. Large fitness room, all equipment is maintained and clean

This place was good for a one night stay. People are friendly, location was good, a little noisy with traffic and trains nearby, there's a good bagel place on the corner. There's an Acme within 5-10 minutes for groceries. It was hard to get in touch with anyone at the front desk. When we needed anything we had to go down to get it, which isn't too big of a deal because of COVID protocols. The rooms were clean, you could tell this place has a history to it with how the rooms and buildings are shaped. The pool was a hit with the kids, wish it was open a little later. The hallways kind of smelled weird. The shower was a little weird because one shower head was sticking a little too far out of the ceiling and the other shower head wouldn't stay put in its holder so we had to hang it onto a handle. Parking became a little difficult because they had a church in session on site and another conference going on.

The hotel is very nice, the room is clean and cosy, but, I’m really surprised that it’s hard to breathe here. The room hasn’t outside ventilation, and it’s hard to breathe during the night. The windows don’t have opening options and I surprisingly didn’t found the outdoor ventilation. The option is just to open the door Pros and cons short description: - The water for drinking is 2$ for small bottle. - There’s no laundry. - no fresh oxygen air in the room - no refrigerator, no microwave + cosy room&powerful wifi everywhere + cosy bed, pillows, the mattress + outside swimming pool is amazing if t’s summer time + really friendly staff, clean and comfortable common areas + beautiful rooftop restaurant

My company put me up in this hotel for a couple days and I found my stay to be quite nice. The staff were friendly and excellent, especially Ivonne (dining) who was so hospitable and friendly. She was kind, professional, and made sure that my experience was a wonderful one. Would definitely stay here again!
