I really loved this Beach. This is, I can say, is a hidden gem in Varkala as Varkala beach is very crowded these days. Odayam Beach being unexplored gives you a very rich experience of being peaceful and enjoy solitude with nature. It was my two days' trip and on the very first day we visited the Varkala Beach but we didn't like it much due to the fact that it was very crowded and we were looking for a peaceful beach then we ended up to this beach and it was a very good experience overall. One of the best beaches in Varkala. If you're someone who doesn't prefer crowds, this is the perfect spot. This beach is an offbeat spot, but there are some hotels and restaurants that are situated just to the shore of the beach and have a great vibe. The location is a little distance from the main beach (Cliff). Also great for having a small bath because most of the time I visited, there were fewer waves and the beach was not that aggressive...

Beautiful clean and uncrowded beach with mostly white sand and nice breeze throughout the day. The waves are nice, the water is warm, and it's also somewhat safe. The sunsets are amazing.

This beach is so serene. Very calm and peaceful. I followed the Google map to reach here from the north cliff. I can hardly see 2 resorts here. Out of the market area and any crowd. Very scenic and good location for pictures. It's ok to come here and spend some time and leave. Nothing much to do. One of the best beaches in Kerala.

One of Clean Beach in Varkala .This beach is less crowded.Sand is mix of white and Black .Most of the sea shore is fenced with rock .You can reach this beach from Odayam side or from Thiruvambadi Beach also. You can reach Varkala Aquarium just 2 minutes of walking .You can enjoy 3 D aquarium based movie here.

Best beach in the Varkala... 15 to 20 minutes walk from the North Cliff.. Less crowded .. very neat and clean.. Picturesque location.. simply sit and enjoy the nature.. perfect in the morning time.. Here some stretch of beach, sand is in black colour.. due to some minerals.. The beach towards Edava is more beautiful.. Coconut grooves made the Beach more beautiful...

I recently visited Odayam Beach Varkala and I must say it’s a hidden gem. The beach is small but beautiful and less crowded compared to Varkala Clif Beach. The parking is limited, but it’s worth the visit. I highly recommend this beach to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing time.

Odayam beach is little less crowded and very clean. Lots of good places to stay near the beach. Sunsets are amazing. I stayed at Magnolia Guest House which is around 100 m for the beach.

Beautiful, calm and less crowded beach. Sit near palm heritage resort and enjoy the sunset. You can request for a log ride towards the sea from locals nearby which makes it even more relaxing.

Extremely gorgeous and peaceful beach. It is so calm and serene. The sand is white and the water is blue. Not many people visit this beach as it seems quite unexplored. Definitely better than all of Goa.

Even though you go at peak season like new year , odayam Beach will be most serene beach that you can visit to , If you are planning to stay in varkala more than a day , I suggest to book a stay near to this as morning and evening walks to this place will be soo peaceful. Would recommend 10/10 if you crave tranquility while visiting Beaches Note: Do not miss sunset here ( I do not have any photos of sunset as I was busy enjoying view)

The road towards Okayama beach is terrific and no proper car parking places.it has black sand.there is no much shore and heavily jam-packed during weekends.

The black sand beach of India. Incredible experience. But to protect the city from tsunami's there are rocks all along the coast except a small part, so it's one of the smallest beaches you will ever visit.

The waves are pretty great, with a good crowd. The beach is clear, well maintained. Good place to visit and calm down and get blended along with nature. Indeed a must visit place, has few restaurants at the beach itself with a great view like sand bay and palm to chill, and spend a good moment with loved ones.

The Odayam Beach lies a few km ahead of Thiruvambadi beach and Cliff Beach. About 2kms away from the Varkala beach is this small oasis of splendour.

Great place to be at the sunset. Beach with beautiful black sand. The location provided by google led us to a private looking kind of area of the beach. Parking was restricted to the customers at that particular cafe/restaurant. Preferable to ask the locals for entry to the actual Odayam beach. Watch out for high tides

Quite a nice place to swim as you will find a plenty of space even on the weekends. So call it a secret private beach. Sunsets are quite amazing as usual and there are few restaurants nearby to chill out. One of the best place here at varkala.

Small but nice beach - not too crowded, good food available on the beach. Need to say that the local crowd at Varkala is so friendly and caring.

It's a nice long beach with good spots for swimming in the Arabian sea without the risk of any injury from hidden rocks on the beach. The beach is comparatively peaceful and has some good cafes and restaurants on the bank.

It is a small beach with a lot of beach side resorts. Very difficult to reach here as the roads get narrower as we approach the beach. There is not much security here which is a concern. Otherwise, it is a great place to come with friends and enjoy.

Beautiful beach and it is less crowded. A lot resorts are on the way and it is restricted to the resorts occupants. If you need any refreshments there are beach facing restaurants owned by these resorts. Good place to have a visit.
