Sree Bhoothanatha Temple is Chathannoor's main Hindu Temple. This Temple is most famous with its 10 days Festival Season. The last day of the Festival ends with local people of all races comes together to pick up Bhoothanathan's Nedumkuthira. All people in Chathannoor irrespective of their religion will come in to celebrate the Festival.

Sree Bhoothanatha Temple is a very ancient and famous temple of Lord Shiva. People come a long way to worship Lord Shiva and thus it is a very beautiful point of attraction for the tourists and the devotees in the South India. It is a well known distinguished sanctuary and  tourist vacation spot  which is located in Chathanoor at the East of Kollam District of Kerala (around 55 km north of the state capital Thiruvananthapuram). The 10-day festival in the temple concludes with arattu on Atham nakshatra in Meenam month (March – April). The Nedum Kuthira which is part of the festival is one of the biggest in South Kerala....
