If you like adventure and hiking, this is the perfect place! The zip line had been on my bucket list for a long time and I finally did it! The place is a nature reserve, and it is possible to do activities in the park for both adults and children in complete safety. There you will find young and competent staff, as well as putting you at ease they are absolutely attentive to your safety. One of my favourite places, absolutely recommended!

Start point & parking spot of Pedra Amarela base camp (trail). The trail is easy to walk through, no special knowledge needed; guide points and maps (also in English) are frequent throughout the walk. Perfect for just a casual walk or mountain biking. The trail features several shortcuts, if you want to go for a shorter journey. Activities around the base camp include high ropes course and lookout tower too. Accessing Pedra Amarela base camp is easy - either with any car or public transport (Cascais bus M44). During the weekend, the parking spots were almost full, however you can also park your car nearby, at Estr. de Vale Cavalos, like we did.

A truely great place to visit. I spent a whole morning walking up and down, from Camp Base to Pedra Amarela, right on top of the mountain range! What Breathtaking Views from atop all the little mountain peaks. You'll find clean and working WC facilities on Camp Base. There's clean water at your disposal at at least 2 different places, for various usages. If God permits, I plan to visit, the Cascais Reservoir Dam, during the rainy season to see if there's a great difference of natural colours. A must Visit, for anyone who loves Nature, Silence, Walking, Praying and Contemplating Divine Beauty.
