    I had a terrible experience at Teknon and particularly with Enrique Roldán del Castillo, which is one of the worst professionals I’ve ever seen. From all the different visits I’ve had with him, I left his office with the feeling that he didn’t care about me at all but only to monetize the visit. I needed surgery near my neck and according to him it was an easy operation which would only take me two weeks to recover. As of speaking, two months later, I’m still recovering from this ‘easy’ surgery. Let me explain: The surgery in theory went well. Two days after it I removed the sticking plaster covering the wound to change it for a new one I saw the stitches were not holding anything since the wound was completely open. I waited one week since I had the next visit with him to remove the stitches in one week. When I visited him, the wound was completely open with the stitches badly placed on the wound. It was turning black and was clearly infected. He spend only 5 minutes with me only to tell me to take the strongest antibiotic for one week and to book another visit for the following week (obviously to only monetize it again). That same day in the afternoon I went to the emergency room from another hospital and the face of the nurse was shocking. She did not understand how a doctor left a wound like this specially after seeing there was a big risk of infection spreading. They were also surprised by how bad the stitches were put. They removed the useless stitches and they took their time to clean the wound properly. Up until now I’ve been going to this different hospital and luckily the infection stopped and now I’m recovering way better. Since the wound had to be closed by itself and not with the initial stitches, I will have a very beautiful mark all my life thanks to doctor Enrique Roldán del Castillo. I hope this post will be useful for others and if you have doubts about going with him I invite you to go and see if anything I’ve said resonates with your experience.

    I had a very respectful appointment with Doctor Oliver Abadal Bartolomeo one of the most famous neurosurgery doctors. The clinic is very clean and the staff here are just sweet and nice to the patients! I felt very comfortable here 🇪🇸❤️ you just feel very respected and in good hands. Another big respect to the lovely lady Manal who can help in Arabic, Spanish and English and shows you the way where you need to go and supports you. Teknon Medical Center was one of the best clinics I have ever visited ❤️

    I could never recommend this hospital, especially for those who are not medically fluent is Spanish, not for surgeries or urgent care. The charge 2-4x what you'd pay in London, Paris or even in the US. The ER requires a 1000 euro deposit to be seen, and it costs about 750 for a quick ER consultation and it is rare (in my family's case) that anyone from nurses to doctors speak English (though they bill themselves as an International hospital targeting non-locals at those prices). Their equipment is subpar (for MRIs they do not have a 3T MRI, only an outdated 1.5). Also, The vascular doctor Dr. Cesar Garcia-Madrid quoted me 9900 euros for a one hour surgery (approx), a common simple surgery, but wanted to do it in the evening, forcing an overnight stay in the hospital. I went to London, to the highest rated surgeon in the UK and the quote was 3400 pounds (all in). I also had a consult with a German surgeon consult and it was 2500 euros, the exact same procedure. He also said that none of the nurses or staff that would be attending to me in my unnecessary overnight stay, none would speak English. In addition, after writing his email 3-4 times with google translate to make the initial appointment I finally received a response and his receptionist emailed that 'he was fluent in English'. I arrive and pay the 250 euro consult fee, and guess what. First thing he says, my English very bad. It was. It was hard to communicate at all, and he didn't run all the tests the other doctors did on my other consultations. It feels (for me) subpar for 4x the amount anywhere else in Europe. I really wish people would stop promoting this outdated medical center as the best, just because the building is historic and beautiful. Perhaps their service should be as good as the landscaping.

    Urgency: acceptable waiting time and professional Radiology: unacceptable long waiting time until you get an appointment. Orthopedic: disaster regarding waiting time for a private consultancy (1 hour waiting time is just unprofessional and cannot be justified in such a clinic which claims to have highest standards). If you are unemployed or just have too much spare time go for it otherwise avoid it.

    I felt lost in BCN and was overwhelmed with organizing my surgery that I had to undergo due to a bike crash. Since I didn’t speak Spanish I had difficulties with understanding the way the health system works. I got many recommendations for the Teknon from locals and so I went there. This is super valuable for all internationals: They do have an international department for various languages. There are people who join you on your days in hospitals to walk you around and explain everything to you in your language (their English is perfect!). Surgery went well and I am really happy with my experience.

    I have never in my life been treated with the disrespect that i received from this hospital, i went to the front desk for information only to have a lady with so much attitude tell me I am in the wrong place, she then directed me somewhere else (Despacho 106) to talk to a lady that had her computer broken so she threw the papers on the desk very aggressively, which was very unprofessional. I then talked to another staff member at (LLOC 4) which WHAT A SURPRISE!! was also very unproductive and using the time to text on her phone. This hospital is extremely unprofessional and need to seriously implement a policy where the staff is more respectful and not having an attitude all the time. what a shame

    Great hospital and English speaking doctors. But Customer Service telephone is terrible. After the great visit, I called next day to book an appointment with a doctor. Very bad experience. I needed to call many times. Line disconnected several times during transfer between departments. I got wrong information. I could not get an appointment. I decided to visit a doctor elsewhere. Teknon - please improve!

    Horrible servicio de urgencias, waiting more than 2 hours to see a doctor that paid no attention to me, stared at the computer all the time while I was explaining my symptoms, prescribed antibiotics without explaining what I had. I paid 320 euros for the visit with one chest xray and now I will have to go to another doctor because that visit was a total waste of time. Inhumane treatment, definitely not expected from such a pretentious looking private hospital. It feels like a place run with very little resources, including doctors with no experience and interest in their practice or care for people - name of doctor: David Isidoro Padilla Cueto - stay away!

    I came to the emergencies on a weekend, spent 4h waiting and when I went to talk to the receptionist, I didn't get any answer or clarification! How is this supposed to be an emergency system, if people who are suffering are waiting for 4h and more! Super annoying!!!

    Terrible customer service. 3 hours to do an exam, 1 hour in the queue to get a passcode, another hour waiting to be called, another hour doing the exam. By the way I had an appoitment which means nothing in this hospital. The machine was broken, it has to be restarted many times, and was not able to complete the full exam. Waste of time. All staff don’t care about you and treat you with disrespect. If I could give 0 stars I would do, dont go to this place, find another center.

    Terrible, they do not respect the patient, we had appointment and my husband was left in the hall for more than 01 hour in the wheelchair with a lot of pain, the reception lady was very rude with us, disrespecting our situation and making us very stressed. I started to cry feeling very bad with the treatment I received even before going to a doctor. We arrived before to respect our appointment and the hospital could not respect our situation. When my husband asked the receptionist if it would take him long to be seen, (because he was in a lot of pain sitting in a wheelchair for so long), She told him to go to the emergency room and reschedule his appointment. I strongly don't recommend the doctors' offices at this hospital.

    This review pertains exclusively to the private patient accommodations, a significant financial investment. Regrettably, the experience was far from satisfactory. Commencing with the disinterested demeanor of the receptionist catering to private patients, the overall quality of the room and bed provided was found to be subpar. The supplementary bed was notably uncomfortable, and the staff seemed unenthusiastic about their roles, creating a palpable sense of apathy. We strongly recommend considering alternative hospitals if you intend to receive private patient care.

    This has been such a frustrating experience. Their patient portal doesn't work, doesn't show me my appointment so that I can change it and when I call, the receptionist hands me over to a machine recording who hangs up after telling me to use the online portal. Happened 3 times in one morning.

    I had an excellent experience with Dr Paloma team re to the Scientific side of the surgery but the food is worst than what people take in jail. The vegetables seem to be used from another plate of a person who did not eat and FOR SURE that food was not fresh neither from today 29 march where I am still recovering. I posted the photo on the photos section. 2448 euros for one night and this food? May be you are thieves and have to consider to go to jail. Please do not robe our money as you do! Dra.     I would have given it a 5, but we had a very hard time calling to make an appointment. We tried for 4 days calling with no one either answering the calls or simply being hung up on, or on hold for very long time and transferred and disconnected. We had an appointment in the area and just went there to make the appointment. I would give the young nice girl in the Cardiology a big 5 STAR! I was making an appointment with her and suddenly passed out from fatigue i suffer from. She showed so much compassion, got me water and made the appointment and explained everything about it. She continued to check on me until I was ok to walk. I have had other appointments with the ear, nose and Throat doctor she is amazing. Her name is Dra Gabriela Celis Morata. Very kind, listens and shows that she cares about her patiences. Please get your phones checked?!!

    I have felt very well cared for at all times. All the staff have been very friendly and professional. I thank Dr. Brugada for his intervention. Without a doubt, the Teknon Clinic is a great medical center worth highlighting.

    Smooth trick they do on clients. When they present the budget they set up the amounts in the document in a way so it tricks you to believe that the total amount includes all the procedures above. (Unless you are autistic) Then when you have waited for this procedure for long time and are there to pay for this, they come up with nice suprise of 300€ extra. Highly unethical to use sales tactics on this low level against people in their most vulnerable times in their life. Be better! Be good humans and change this practice.

    Had an appointment at 6.30 for an echo and they had me (8months pregnant) waiting for 45min without an explanation or apology. Then i had to wait again 30min for the results which turned into more than 1 hour waiting....again no apology. i left the hospital at 8.45, exhausted! such a shame...

Behalf myself I have the best!! expirience with Dr. Casañas and Dr. Pedrero who did a real, real great job giving me a new artificial knee a few dayus ago.     We went to Teknon for the birth of my son. I can't say good enough things. The reception was friendly and helpful, the doctors, midwives, and nurses were all so nice and helping. All the doctors and midwives and some of the nurses spoke very good English with us. Even the ones who couldn't, tried their best to communicate effectively. The hospitality was very good, we received nice accommodation and great food. After birth, our son needed to be admitted to the ICU, and they took very good care of him there. When being discharged, they helped us by providing all kinds of useful information and even offered us their phone number to ask our questions later. They also gave us gift boxes and many extra diapers, baby milk, etc.

    This morning I went there as soon as there were people, still 1h30 for the doctor to look at me for 2 minutes, he diagnosed pain in the abdomen, I went again at 7pm, the pain did not stop, 5 hours of waiting, they sent me home without a clear diagnosis and still with pain, little empathy, little professionalism, telling me that if the fever does not rise, I should not worry, I will tell him if at any time you have taken my temperature... answer well, I have not noticed that you are hot, urine test that She makes me do the triatge, the doctor had no idea after 2 hours, they give me results of the analysis but not of the urine test and she tells me that if the test went well... incredible we are people, not a car !!

    I've tried to book an appointment for a general medical check-up, in multiple occasions, both using the form on the website and calling to the phone on the website. On the phone, I provided all my contact information again, and the company told me that they were an intermediary and that the Teknon Medical Center will call me back. They never called me back nor sent me an email. What do you do with the information that you collect if you don't contact the people, at least to tell them that you can't offer them an appointment?

    I had to stay there with my baby during our short stay in Barcelona and as difficult these two nights have been - my baby and me have been treated as perfect as possible. Although conversation was difficult sometimes - they have tried their best to make usfeel as comfy as possible! Can only recommend it. Best greetings and muchas gracias to staff on 2nd floor!

    The BEST experience ever. I’ve been to the clinic this afternoon to have a urodynamic study done. During the test I started feeling unwell and fainted. I don’t think it was due to the test. When I woke up I was on the floor with several doctors and nurses next to me. After, I guess, an hour or so the doctors decided to send me to A&E. Once there I fainted again and had a doctor and nurses helping me. The reason for mentioning the whole situation is all about the AMAZING professionals that made me feel safe all the time. I would like to THANK YOU all for looking after me. You are all BRILLIANT & VERY KIND!

    It is unbelievable how badly organized this place is!! I was told by the doctor that I need to drop off the samples to the laboratory myself. Steps I had to go through just for a “simple” thing: - Finding the laboratory - Once I found it, I asked where I could drop it off - I was told that I need pick a number - Once I had a number I waited - next step was that I needed to get registered (but why? I went already to see the doctor 2 times) they should have had already my data - I had to wait again - dropping off the registration paper somewhere else - waiting again - finally I could drop off the samples And on top of all of that, After 4 WEEKS I still did not receive my results. I would never ever recommend Teknon to anyone!

    I received excellent care from vascular expert, Dr. Cesar Garcia-Madrid and his team, while experiencing the most painful symptoms of my life. Teknon is a very professional and well managed facility...with ethical billing practices as well. I cannot recommend Teknon enough. NOTE to foreigners (such as myself), using the IMS (Internal Medical Services) service is very worthy as they are your personal escort for your Teknon experience. Their offices are in Teknon hospital and they book your appointments, take you to to them and make sure everything is being carried out as per your doc's orders. This was invaluable to my situation with short wait times and precise protocols. I do not speak Spanish (I try for comic relief) and I also have little time to waste away from work (temporarily working in BCN).

    I’m very thankful to my OB/gynecologist Dra.Nuria Rodriguez, she is very hands-on from the start of my check-up. she is very passionate and dedicated. I’m a high risk pregnant patient but she manage to deliver my baby safe. I’m very thankful to her. And to the Neonatos/NICU thank you for taking care of my daughter, for being kind and attentive especially Stephanie.

    I can’t speak highly enough about the care I’ve received at Teknon both inpatient and through their physicians. When I had a hospital stay, I was treated with great care by all of the doctors, nurses, and everyone on the staff. The room and food were excellent and they even asked every day if my partner would be spending the night and they set up a sleeping area for him. As far as their specialists, I have been to several and received excellent care. Twice I have been told by a a local traumatológica in Sitges that I needed surgery on my foot and shoulder respectively and gone to see a specialist at Teknon and was told the surgery was unnecessary and given successful course of treatment. The doctors there listen to their patients rather than just talk and give treatments. If you need good care, this is where to go.

    They are ver professional and human beings but I don’t like the way they are organized to do simple exams , they don’t separate PCR or people with more simple exams. Hope they can change this.

    I was rushed in with appendicitis and was seen to within 10 minutes. Obviously needed to wait until the surgeon was available. Great staff on the wards- friendly, helpful and did everything they could. The only thing letting it down was the food but in the end it is a hospital and not a restaurant. I’m very grateful for what all the staff have done to make me better again. I wouldn’t hesitate to use this hospital again in the future ( hopefully not required).
