Awesome hostel that's in a safe and quiet neighborhood. Fairly close to public transport and literally 5 to 10 minutes from the beach. May not be on the beach but the walk is nice. Good cafes, bars and restaurants in the area. Hostel is clean, comfortable and convenient. Friendly, helpful staff with a good vibe and atmosphere about the place. Totally enjoyed my stay here.

Visited in June 2015. It was comfortable and easy to spend time with. There was also a sense of cleanliness.

Amazing atmosphere in this hostel full of colors and fun. The staff is super friendly and helpful with everything you need. Every day you have group activities to go. It's cool to get to know new people. All the spaces in the hostel are very comfortable and very well decorated. You can really feel a young vibe. I was also really happy with the quality of the kitchen appliances. A lot of space and material to prepare your own meals. And it's cool the fact that you see the hole living room, so you're never alone since you can still talk to people that it's chilling in the commun area. Totally recommend this place if you're passing by Barcelona. It's near the beach and the subway station as well.

It is very good because you share various moments and leisure activities with the other guests, they always offer you some group activity and that is good to meet new people.

Great hostel, great staff and very helpful and nice reception. Very good price, free pasta included and good location close to the beach. The rooms were often very cold at night and one room was far too small and cramped. But you have a great range of activities, such as beach activities or going to the club together. Top!

Nice staff. Rooms with very little privacy, as well as very cold. An extra person sleeping on the floor when there was a maximum room of 6 people. Very small mixed bathrooms with only one toilet. For the price it is, they should solve these incidents.

Stayed here multiple number of times, practically each time I am in Barcelona. Really close to the beach. The rooms are really clean so are the toilets and showers. During rainy days or if you want just chill, there is enough to relax and meet others in the hostel itself!

The staff were really enjoyable to deal with. The hostel was also very inclusive, inviting me and my friend to loads of the activities happening in the city. The location is great - about 5 minutes or so from the coastline! The rooms were a bit small, but who really hangs out in their room all day when they're on vacation? Overall good experience at Amistat!

Absolutely brilliant place👌🏻 I stayed here for a week a few weeks ago and loved every minute of it! The hostel itself was great, particularly with the free events that they put on while I was there (beach games, spanish lessons, salsa lessons etc). I also went on the pub crawl a few times which was pretty good too! Perfect spot, right near the beach (about a 5 minute walk) and brilliant for if you're travelling alone with the people you're able to meet while there! Couldn't recommend the place enough.

Loved this hostel. Good breakfast buffet(4 euro), clean rooms, activities, kind of social vibe but not a party hostel(no alcohol inside). Kitchen is great, staff is super nice. Walking distance to the beach!

We arrived late and night and were given full access to the kitchen, and FREE PASTA. The rooms were spotless, the lockers were secured with keycards, and each bed had its own light and charging port. The hostel was alcohol-free, which created an all inclusive atmosphere. The vibe was great, the staff was extremely friendly and resourceful. 10/10 would recommend.

Nice hostel for a beach, good place for meeting people. The bar crawl was nice, I really enjoyed. The rooms are clean. The bathroom were okay, didn't like to share the showers with everyone at Hostel because when I forgot my stuff in the showers, people will take them

Everyone has been very friendly. The place is quite new 4 yrs at the time of writing. It is kept clean and all floor areas get cleaned daily. Location is good only a short walk down the road and you are at the beach. Supermarket is close to the hostel and there are a few different places close buy to eat out or drink. Easy to get to by metro (L4) line get off at Poblenou about a 7 minute walk.

Hostel was great. Mainly hosting a younger crowd but that was no issue. The rooms are clean and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The rooms are located on the top floor and the restrooms and showers are on the first. The ground floor has a common kitchen and lounge area. There is another room with a large TV and computers. The TV has a PlayStation that people can use. See people playing games like Warcraft on the computers. There is an elevator for easy access. More importantly the facility is constantly being cleaned and kept up to standard.

Staff is very nice and helpful. Hostel is a 8 minute walk to the beach. Almost all things cost at the hostel. Showers are private and clean but could much better - no towel hooks and is very cramped, shower heads are trash. There is no drinking allowed at the hostel.

Our stay at this hostel was excellent. The rooms were nice, the sheets, bathrooms, and showers were clean, and the lockers were free to use with the room card. My only minor complaints are that you had to hit the shower button every 30 seconds to continue to use it and the breakfast was £2.50 (which was really cheap because the European breakfast they had was great). Our stay here was really pleasant and we had none of the hassles that usually come with hostels like check in taking forever and the wifi only working in the reception (if at all). The reception desk was speedy and well organized and the wifi was fast and available everywhere. For £12 a night I could not recommend this hostel more if you are fine with the hostel environment.

My experience was bad because of how dirty and especially stinky the private bathroom was. I've stayed there for 5 days, staff is great, friendly and helpful. The cleaning staff is probably to replace. Everytime they "cleaned" the room and the bathroom, it was smelling even worse than before. It's a real pity because this little thing (not really little to be honest) made my whole stay a real nightmare, I couldn't feel comfortable of going to the loo and that caused me problems! That's not even acceptable for animals, so I'm surprised no one ever said something about it. Hope you'll get better about it!!

The employees are fantastic and always helpful, and breakfast is decent, worth the 3.50€. There was a fideuá dinner for 6€ per person while we were there, which was delicious and well worth it. The rooms have lockers big enough for a large suitcase, and there is a luggage room you can store things in for free if you arrive early or leave late. If your room has an attached bathroom, the shower doesn't seem to contain water well, as it just opens into the bathroom with no door or curtain, so the entire floor gets wet. If you need to do laundry, the dryers don't really work, and that seems to be a common occurrence, since obtaining a second laundry token (the machines run on tokens purchased from the front desk) for free still didn't dry our clothes. There is space on the terrace to hang things, but many people use that so it can be a little tight to find space for your clothes.

Really lovely place. Very friendly staff. Clean and in a good location. I have traveled alot and I think it's one of the best hostels I have ever been. Even the breakfast is great but the staff complete it for me. Big shout out to the English guy on reception. Always helpful.
