My time at Hostel One Paralelo had far exceeded my expectations. Not knowing what to expect as a first-time solo traveler, I was unsure what I would encounter when i first checked in last week. With that said - I was greeted by the most fascinating people from all over the world during my stay. The volunteers were excellent. They were extremely resourceful, and put together entertaining daily activities. The other travelers I met were so kind and outgoing. You will meet people from literally EVERYWHERE - just sit down at the table and you will see :) The rooms and bathrooms were pretty clean for this hostel. The free dinner was an excellent thing to come back to after a long day out and about! I honestly met some of the coolest people during my week here, and plan to stay in touch with the great friends i’ve made! So happy I had chosen to stay here during my first trip to Spain. Barcelona was incredible, and this place made it quite special!!

To the owner of the hostel: I hope you realise how lucky you are to have the staff and volunteers you do at this hostel HUGE respect to them, they’re the ones who make this hostel so great and you leave feeling like family. Conrad, Maxine, Caroline, Joe, and all the other volunteers/staff, incredible. Great beds, great showers, clean. The dinner is perfect to meet everyone properly and then the staff put in huge effort for the rest of the nights entertainment with some pre-drinks at the hostel into a night out at bars.

If you want a social hostel, this is the place to be! They are so personally involved in your trip that it makes you feel special. I didn't want to leave!! If you love partying, look no where else - they know HOW TO PARTY! Big shout out to Amelia, Antia, Marley, Eva, and Lisa. You guys are amazing! Definitely going back there on my next trip to Barcelona!

Went solo traveling for five nights in Barcelona and this hostel was perfect for my trip. The rooms were clean, comfy beds, curtains for more privacy and light next to your bed. I met so many cool, open-minded people from all over the world. Loved their free dinner and the staff members were always helping out with whatever you needed. I will definitely come stay there again on my next Barcelona. Big recommendation!

What an amazing experience! My favourite hostel. Daily group outings to some beautiful spots, and by night there were drinking games, bars and clubs included with the hostel wristband. Met so many awesome people. Big shout out and thank you to all their lovely staff for looking after us and making it such a fun time!

I can’t even begin to describe how amazing this hostel and it’s staff are. From the moment I arrived until the minute I left you’re made to feel like part of a family. The rooms are lovely, the beds comfortable and you even have a little privacy curtain on your bed and a reading lamp inside. The whole hostel is very clean and the bathrooms and kitchen are great. The staff have activities on every day like beach trips and walking tours and at night there is free dinner, free sangria some nights and then every night the group all get together to go to a bar and then onto a club and it changes different places every day through the week. The staff always try and include you and it’s so good because you know the option is always there to spend time with people if you want to but the option is also there to have alone time too. I met some amazing people during my stay. I’ve stayed in hostels before but this was the first time I had solo travelled and I had been worried about feeling a bit alone but even when I was alone I didn’t feel lonely because I knew there was always people to talk to around. I really don’t feel like any hostels I stay in in the future will ever match up to Hostel One Paralelo now! It really is the best! This small hostel truly creates a family vibe just within a few nights of partying and hanging out together. The staff are incredible and become an organic part of the group. There's an activity every night and sometimes day activities - so you'll never be bored :) I wanna give a special mention to staff members Carlos & Joe who were helpful and just amazing human beings, great dance moves as well ;)

I had a great stay at Hostel One! All the staff were so friendly and helpful, the beds were incredibly comfortable and private, and the hostel was located near 2 metro lines. I was traveling alone and always felt safe and welcome at the hostel. I met many great people and really enjoyed the family dinners!

Staying at Hostal One Paralelo in Barcelona was an amazing experience. The dorm rooms were clean and the staff was incredibly hospitable and friendly. The bunk beds were like individual capsules, providing privacy and comfort. Not to mention all of the complimentary amenities and activities included with the stay. I had always been hesitant to sleep in a dorm, but I'm so glad I chose to stay here - it was worth every euro!

Great hostel if you wanna meet people, especially traveling solo. There’s a group activity every day and people come together every night for drinks in the common area. It’s a very party forward hostel, but while still respecting the people of the barrio. Some weirdo brought a karaoke mic one night and sang Amy Winehouse by himself which was a little cringey but other than that every night was a blast. Special shout-out to Jack and Tyler, 2 best hostel staff I’ve ever encountered. 5 stars

Absolutely amazing hostel!! Staff were incredible, rooms were small but comfy (great mattress and pillow), bathrooms were clean, common areas were incredibly welcoming, and the other guests were awesome! It is very social but also so wholesome, perfect for solo travellers looking to meet people and explore the nightlife. Super LGBTQI+ friendly. And perfect location on top of everything!

I stayed in both a private room and dorm room during my stay. The rooms were clean and had comfortable bedding. The bathrooms are a good size and there is a sufficient amount for the number of people at the hostel. I never felt like I was waiting in line to use bathroom, and they were conveniently located. The private superior room is very spacious and has a desk that is great for computer work. The staff are very friendly and create a great atmosphere at the hostel. There are regular social activities that bring residents together and make everyone feel welcome. I would stay here again!

I had such a good time here. Super cool staff create such a nice vibe and atmosphere of people super chill, always felt very communal and meeting people so easy. Everyone respectful of people sleeping as well. Best bunks I’ve stayed at in any hostel and everything very clean. Great common space. Daily meetups with other OneFam hostels in city means you see familiar faces each day when you go to group activities and nights out.

This is hands down the best hostel I've ever stayed in! The rooms were spotless and cleaned daily and the location was perfect. There are daily excursions and communal meals all organised FOR FREE, as well as drinking games, bar and club entrances all included in your wristband. A special shout out to the incredible staff here who made sure my whole experience is one I'll never forget, you're all fantastic! I can't wait to come back soon!

Super fun stay with a vibrant staff and an immediate sense of community when you enter the hostel. They organize so many events (tours, going to bars/clubs, free dinners + sangria) which made for an extremely enjoyable experience! Definitely veered toward a younger crowd (18-25 as the primary demographic) but there were also some older working professionals as well, mid-30s. The privacy curtains for each of the bunk beds made it a lot easier to sleep despite sharing the room with five other people. Would highly recommend for anybody looking to meet fellow travelers and explore the nightlife that Barcelona has to offer.

First time solo traveling and in a hostel, I feel like my expectations for the next hostels will be so high. Don't worry if you're introvert, your english skills are bad or not very interested in the night life (like me), there are plenty of activities to do, new wonderful people to meet without any effort, from the same hostel or other Hostels One. The hostel is very clean and pretty when I was there, I stayed for six days and it was a perfect vacation. Special thanks to Nora and the staff, they do a fantastic job, super kind and helpful.

Just stayed for a week here - my second time staying at this hostel since 2020. Culture of the staff and guests is amazing, so warm and friendly and inviting. They do an amazing job of creating a sense of belonging for everyone, and you can see it comes from the staff's strong sense of family. The hostel attracts lots of amazing guests who you can easily befriend. Free dinners every night make it easier to travel on a budget. Would highly recommend if you are traveling solo or with a friend and looking for fun in Barcelona.

I stayed in a 6-person dorm room and had a wonderful time in Barcelona thanks to Hostel One! The staff was super friendly and helpful (Derek gave some particularly awesome recommendations on what to do around the city). In terms of facilities, the dorm rooms and bathrooms were always clean and never felt crowded. The hostel also organizes events during the day and night so even though I was traveling solo, I met some amazing friends through the hostel. I would definitely stay here or at another Hostel One my next time in Barcelona!

Lovely location, lovely guests and incredible staff. Had a very nice stay there & would def recommend it if you wanna have a weird, crazy but amazing stay! You will meet a lot of different people and party a lot. They will do everything to make your stay as nice as possible. The hostel was full of travelers all over the world everyone was open minded and ready to have a great time there together. We had a lot of fun! It’s the perfect hostel if you’re traveling alone to meet people and do different activities. Also the staff cooked every evening for all hostel people and always open for a conversation. Great service !

People were very rude and unwelcoming. Not a place to solo travel it was very cliquey. If you don’t fit in they will shun you. They bring you to overpriced bars and clubs. that the owner has deals with and some staff explains. It’s a rip off and they feel bad about bringing you there. One guest had some items stolen and they didn’t even try to help.

The best hostel I’ve ever stayed at!! My sister and I had the most amazing time here. The rooms and bathrooms are very clean and they have all the necessary amenities. The beds are comfortable and the common area is very cozy. The staff was incredibly welcoming and friendly (especially Ellis and Charlotte!) They made us delicious vegetarian dinners every night and took us out partying at the local bars and clubs as well as daily trips around the city. We felt very safe going out with the hostel group, we had so much fun and made many friends. I cannot recommend this hostel enough to anyone visiting Barcelona. Thank you Onefam!

Thoroughly enjoyed my trip to Barcelona :) One Fam group was extremely helpful in locating best places to visit in Barcelona from coffee shops, tourist attractions, clubs and best places to eat. This is THE hostel for solo travelers in Barcelona. The staff were all awesome, super friendly and professional + the hostel was always full of cool people to make friends and go on adventures with. If you're looking for somewhere to be able to both party hard and chill hard, this is definitely the place. One of my best vacations - I would definitely recommend Hostel One Paralelo.

The best hostel I’ve stayed in! All the staff were super friendly and helpful. Their activities created a very social and fun vibe. The night out we had was especially well organised and so fun! Facilities were great and they had all the handy bits and pieces you could want. 100% recommend!

Everyone was so nice! Irene, rainbow, Anna, the whole crew were amazing. Made me feel extremely welcomed. Everyone was super friendly and made sure my experience was fantastic. First time in a hostile so I was nervous at first but after meeting the staff and guests I realized there was no need to be nervous.

Out all the hostels I have stayed in Barcelona, One Paralelo is hands down my favorite. The staff are great and make you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. It is easy to socialise and meet fellow travellers, the communal laid-back atmosphere, daily events, fun evenings out on the town, free dinners, the rooms are comfortable, the facilities are clean, the location is easily accesible; Everything a good hostel aspires to be. It is a must do if you want to have fun in Barcelona. 10/10. All that is left to do is enjoy your stay 🙌

Best place to stay in Barcelona. People are very social and polite, this place really attracts the nicest people. The staff is not only helpful but also very committed in making your stay a good experience. A lot of events are arranged together with the other hostels og the same company. 10/10 would recommend. Same goes for the Rambla one

I had a wonderful time at Hostel One! The vibes were amazing and the company we met there was second to none. Hostel one is great because they cook dinner at night for the whole hostel and host free pub crawls at night. Thanks so much to Hostel One Staff for making my time in Barcelona so memorable!

I've stay only at Hostel one's this by far is the best. I would reccomend every day twice on Sunday. Staff fun and knowledgeable. Super clean. Everything you want to be in a hostel. Here has it.

It was a great hostel. An awesome donation based family dinner each night, 3E breakfast each day. Great activities planned for the passive traveler. The night activities (bars) were great. The hostel is small enough so that you create strong bonds with other guests compared to larger hostels which lose the close connections. The employees were nice and welcoming.

A 10/10 experience! The best and only way to travel Europe. This hostel is a great price considering you get free day tours, free dinner, free cover at clubs all with a comfortable pod-style bed and extremely clean bathrooms. The best asset though is certainly the people, all of whom are incredibly friendly beyond compare and are lively at all times, even when it's the morning after a long night. Great for groups and solo travelers alike! Second time at Hostel One and not the last!

Exceptional hosts, amazing guests, super clean and in a great location! Hostel One really went above and beyond in making sure I and everyone staying with them had memories to last a lifetime! I would recommend 1000% and will definitely be coming back in the future.

Would give this hostel 6 stars if I could. I travelled solo during covid and absolutely loved it. It’s a party hostel, so you’re bound to make friends on one of their free daily events - a city walk, family dinner/sangria tasting, or nightclub crawl when I was there. I immediately felt welcomed by the staff/volunteers as well - Sara and Caroline and Conrad are all angels. Great clean rooms and in a safe location as well, if covid/suburb are of concern. I cannot wait to come back!

My experience at Hostel One Paralelo was great! The pod-like style of beds were convenient, the staff were friendly, and the people traveling through were so cool and friendly. This hostel does a great job at organizing activities and makes you feel welcomed and at home.

I rang to the Barcelona one and they could not speaking Spanish/Catalan to take a booking! Imagine that you will ring to one in the UK and they are not able to attend to you in English! You ask if they have any bed free and the person picking up the phone says are fully book and he redirected to me to have a look into the website. Ridiculous !!!

I came to the hostel and immediately felt like a part of the group and after a few days like a part of a family. The people there are so kind, warm and love to help you. They plan activities for every day and everyone is welcome to join. I had a lof of fun with people all around the world. It was voted Nr. 1 Hostel in Spain for a reason.

Best hostel in Barcelona! I was welcomed so graciously by all of the amazing staff, and the location was absolutely perfect. Super close to the metro as well as the neighborhood itself being adorable! Every single other gust I met was cool and super friendly, and I cannot recommend this hostel enough for other solo travelers. There is always something to do as well as someone to talk to at Hostel One Paralelo. Highly recommend!!!

I stayed in the hostel for a couple of days and had an amazing experience, the staff are extremely involved with the people, providing activities to do. Every day there are 4 activities, some day activity (going to the beach, walking tour, etc) and then at night they prepare dinner or sangrias for all of us, we play a couple of drinking games and then go to a bar to later end the night in a club that we can enter for free with the staff. Every day the activities, bars/clubs are different, so every night is different. Aside from that, everyone is super social. If you want to meet people and party (specially as a solo traveler), this hostel is your place. You will have fun, you will have friends, you will have activities and you will have parties. Bonus points that the beds have curtains so you have privacy when you sleep.

Just got home after an amazing stay at HostelOne Paralelo in Barcelona. Best hostel to stay for a female! I felt welcomed and completely safe while with my new family. After dinner, we all went out together to bars and clubs. Need to add stars **** . Def the best hostel !

The rooms offer a good amount of privacy. There’s also a lot of opportunities to socialize with other travelers. I would recommend this to any solo traveler looking for a place to stay in Barcelona.

The whole staff was amazing from the managers to the volunteers. They have plenty of stuff to do every day and night and many people to do it with! If you are traveling solo or a small group in Barcelona I definitely recommend!
