Overall, a great place to stay if you value social interactions and new connections, and if sleep isn't a concern for you. Pros: * lovely and kind staff * great location and lovely rooftop terrace * free breakfast, free drink, happy hour, lots of fun activities Cons: * The room wasn't very clean (hair everywhere), mold present. Bed sheets were dirty :( room had a bad odour. * It gets very loud at night, doors slamming all night long - if the hostel management invested in some soft close door closers, I believe the experience could drastically improve for those who are light sleepers. Sadly even ear plugs didn't help. * fire alarm kept going off at night and morning a few times, very annoying.

At my arrival, Staff offered me a room of 4 when I had booked a room of 8. Everyone working there is really nice, welcoming crew, bar, cleaning and security staff. Price is actually really good for what you get. (drinks, lockers, location, free walking tours, activities like dance class...) Great way to meet people, I'll definitely be back sometime!

Stayed in twin room. Basic, clean and great place to stay. Not much sleep sure to the vibe, but that do state it is a party hostel. Lovely roof terrace, breakfast lovely, start friendly and helpful. Great drinks prices for patrons staying and offers. Free walking tours, maps, fun classes and would stay again. I am 48 and stayed 1 night with teenage son.

THE WORST HOSTEL I’VE EVER BEEN One word : run away. This youth hostel is the worst I’ve ever been to and I’m used to travel. - First, the receptionist was rude, unprofessional and badly mannered. - The room is so expensive, unconfortable and with nothing in it plus noisy as ever. - The breakfast is poor, for the price. - You have to pay for the towel/ locker to let your things - The shower is cold / uncleaned and close to the room so you can listen to everything that happened in the bathroom at 5am … The only promise you can get is to spend the worst night ever, with un polite staff and inconfortable rooms. Please keep your money for a hostel that deserves it ! Hope I help the people who will read my comment

The place was amazing. Clean and well organized. But the very 1st night there was a guy in my room who was intentionally making noises while musturbating in the room, where he was aware that it was just him and 2 more female costumers (me and another girl). I reported in the reception and they immediatelly offer me another room in a different floor, but they gave just a talk to the guy who was acting sleeping when the security enter the room. I believe they have to take more care about that cause i am not the 1st one who had that experiense. Besides that, the staff is friendly and the events they organize are nice. The location is suitable even if you want to explore the city in the morning or the night!

It’s okay. You won’t sleep here, and you’ll probably get sick, but it’s a party hostel for a reason. The breakfast is decent, rooms are very full and crowded, but once again, it’s okay. The location and activities are great and the staff make the experience fun…. HOWEVER. My biggest issue is while I was there, a female traveller hurt herself and fell in the middle of the night in our room. From what I understood, she dislocated her knee and could not stand or move it. She cried for help and we got help from the front desk. They wouldn’t help her until paramedics arrived. After that- they had to get other paramedics (for whatever reason). This poor person was laying on the ground for probably 1-2 hours in pain and yelling while some of us tried to sleep. We tried to help her but the hostel handled it so poorly. I get that it’s the middle of the night and there’s less staff but leaving them yelling in pain for that long and not having a proper paramedics team to help her was unacceptable.

First of all this place deserves a 5 star for sure, I couldn’t give because a minor issue with their bed and I’ll get it. NB: If you are travel for business or rest or anything closer to formal, you shouldn’t stay here, but for leisure or party, you should definitely choose this hostel with the amazing staff and breakfast. First, this is the hostel to get the vibe in Barcelona, being here alone puts you in the atmosphere and the vibe of Barcelona. It’s in the city center in a very busy and engaged location that’s active 24/7. Yes, the hostel is located at a place that is active 24/7, there are bars, club’s restaurants and large outdoor area that you’ll find people each time. If you are a loud person and like to meet people all the time, you’ll have it. Hostel is clean and well kept/ managed. You get a free beer each day from 6-6:30pm if I’m not mistaken. Personally what I liked this most about the hostel is the healthy breakfast buffet. It makes it worth the price you pay for. The staff are nice and helpful and also speaks English. This place is not for you if you hate noise. It’s not a place to have a peace of mind because the people are loud, especially if you get a room closer to front facing as that place is busy throughout the night and the windows are not sound proof. The thing and only thing I did not like about this place, maybe just the room I was in is the bed quirks/ makes noise a lot. Even just by turning and it used to wake me up through the night when anyone in the rooms turns. It’s because they are using metal beds, I’m not sure why they aren’t using wood but if they fix this sound the bed makes, it’ll be very helpful. Oh, and there’s also a rooftop.

this place is well located and clean and the staff is very nice, but I did not enjoy my experience, the men in our room were not respectful! they left their trash on the floor, one of them watched videos in the middle of the night with sound instead of wearing headphones... but the worst was the smell, between the kfc in the room, the perfume before going to bed (why?) and the smell of dirty feet... in short, be respectful when you stay in a youth hostel, it's not your home! and stay clean!

Very nice hostel, I wasn't expecting such things for this price. All is clean, you have big free lockers in each rooms, a nice bar on rooftop with attractive prices. I totally recommend this place !

Just check out the view from the hostel! I met such great people there but one of the guys in reception (the older one with glasses and bald) needs to improve his attitude a little but I didn't let that change my opinion of the place.

A very good experience. Its in a very convenient place, close to everything. The rooftop bar is nice and happy hour is awesome. The rooms a very basic and not very comfortable but other than that an awesome place if you plan in making friends to experience the nightlife with.

If you're seeking a restful night's sleep after a long day in Barcelona - do NOT book this hostel. If you're thinking of reserving a room for two with the hope of enjoying a good night's rest at an affordable rate - NO, you won’t. This hostel was, without a doubt, the worst one I've ever stayed at. I was aware that it's referred to as a "party hostel," and they have a terrace on the 5th floor for socializing, as well as a lobby on the 1st floor designed for partying. Our room was located on the 3rd floor and throughout the entire night, we were subject to the incessant noise of people chatting, flirting, crying, having sex, and laughing so loudly that I couldn't get any sleep until 5:30 am (and I had to wake up at 6 am)! Despite the hostel's strict rules, such as charging 5 euros for a "late check-out" if you exceed the 11:00 am checkout time and prohibiting outside alcohol, they seemed incapable of maintaining any semblance of quiet on our floor. Adding to this were a number of noise-producing elements. For instance, instead of providing paper towels, they had hand dryers in the bathrooms, and whenever someone used them at 3 am, the noise reverberated throughout the entire floor. Additionally, the doors in the hostel didn't close quietly; rather, they made a loud noise when opened or closed, and with inebriated guests constantly coming and going, it was impossible to escape the commotion. To make matters worse, the room itself was tiny and far from comfortable. I couldn't imagine staying in such cramped quarters with a stranger. The room was devoid of any amenities aside from bunk beds, a trash bin, one chair, and two lockers (one of which didn't even work).

Pros: Kabul party hostel was very clean and had a great atmosphere and awesome social vibe. Super easy and great environment to make friends, the hostel had good activities planned for people and the pub crawls were a lot of fun. The staff ensured everyone stayed together and we felt safe going out together. Some front desk staff were short and rude while others nice. Did appreciate the 24/7 reception, always felt safe. Great location, right in the heart of Barcelona and so many things to explore. Cons: some of the washroom sinks didn’t work, the beds weren’t comfortable (but prob expected), the bunk beds were super hard to climb up/down, the free breakfast didn’t have many options. I wish they had 24/7 coffee/tea. €1 for water bottles. If you are looking for a quiet place this is not for you. It’s located in the middle of a very lively street, music blasting until 5am. Great place to party and make friends, not a good place to relax and get some sleep.

Fun place to meet people! Great price and staff. Staff were all friendly and fun. Rooms are what you expect in a hostel but appeared clean to me. Unbeatable location. Loved all the games (giant jenga, chess, pool, etc) they had to offer for free.

The room was really bad! There wasn’t any lockers or table for us and I can’t sit up on the lower bunk🥲 The drainage system in bathroom was very poor. I suggest to place a floor mat in front of shower space, otherwise it will flood every time after taking a shower. But I think we were lucky to stay at 6th floor, it was safe and clean and we only shared bathroom with the other room. Besides, the location is wonderful:)

Didn’t really live up to the hype. Place was pretty quite the whole time we were there. Not much going on. “Breakfast” was atrocious. Rooms were fine, as expected in a hostel. Great location to be fair.

The stay was amazing. Great location and fun hosts. You can join their activities and join a super fun pubcrawl. I was traveling alone but I made friends super quick because of their activities. They have a nice reception/common room. The rooms and bathrooms are super clean thanks to Yrina and she was super friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend staying here if you want to get to know the fun side of Barcelona.

The atmosphere was really nice and party-like. It is possible to get enough sleep, though depends also on your roomates.:) The staff was very nice, the showers and toilets never too crowded and clean. The breakfast pretty poor, but for that price it's acceptable. The lockers also make you feel safe for your stuff. I would suggest earplugs, then you'll be fine. Overall very nice!

Solo traveller. Kabul was my first hostel in Europe and it didn’t disappoint! Doors & lockers are controlled by keycards - so very safe. The beds are comfortable with curtains to create a bit of a private retreat. The hostel gets noisy, but it didn’t affect my sleep at all. Bathrooms are also very clean. Definitely a great hostel for meeting people. The activities are amazing and the vibe of the hostel is fantastic! It’s also located in a great location. I was able to walk everywhere to see everything I wanted to see. I wouldn’t stay in any other hostel in Barcelona!

I had so much fun in Party Hostel Kabul!! It was a very nice location and the activities were so great. Also the staff, especially Rodrigo, made my vacation great! He was very friendly, helpful and funny :) Thanks everyone! I’m definitely coming back to this hostel.

A good and cheap place to stay. My room was good. Very sturdy beds and a locker that was more like a safe, haha. A space to put your phone while charging would be nice. Also the lightning is a bit "hard" /"white". Its a party hostel, so prepare :D

  • 5/5 Tess van H. 1 year ago on Google
Me and my friend had a really nice time staying at the hostel! Location is perfect, people are cool and events are awesome. Rodrigo(!!) and the other staff were really nice, helpful and friendly. We will come back for sure, next time in Barcelona! Gracias :)

We stayed here with my partner for 2 nights. Fortunately, we were able to book the room that's for 2 persons only (2 bunk beds) so we had the whole room by ourselves. Royom was ok. Checking in was pretty good. The clerk was very informative, unfortunately, when we booked the room, it wasn't said that the city taxes are not included in the price, which we had to pay extra when checking in. It would be nice if it was written in the booking app that towels are for rent too. Just a little heads up to what you can expect when checking in. Breakfast is okay, though it could be better, like eggs for a change especially for people who are staying there a bit longer. The common area is nice. You just really need to explore. They have a billiard table which can be operated by 1€ per game. If you like the night life and are really outgoing, this hostel is perfect. The location is superb. A very good hostel for friends or a group of people who are traveling together. 👍

  • 3/5 Mia S. 4 months ago on Google
It was overall good for the price the only downside was the noise outside the window all night party. But it’s fair considering it’s a party hostel. Just recommend some good earplugs.

Great place to stay - the place was super clean and constant being cleaned up. We had a bit of an issue with our locker but the staff was super helpful and did what they could to assist us. Other than that it was great It is a party hostel so if you want to rest just ask for some earplugs at the reception and they’re free!

The hotel is in the heart of Barcelona city with 250meters nearby metro & the most popular & touristic street la rambla is very nearby. Room & bunk beds are good enough at least no unwanted sounds. Con : the bar inside the hostel closes early & roof top is locked at night.

  • 5/5 Ian 1 year ago on Google

Best hostel we’ve ever stayed at if you care about meeting people and socialising. Nothing compares to that terrace that I’ve ever seen at a hostel. If you are a light sleeper do not choose this location, they basically have no noise rules. We loved it - everyone is there to have fun and not complain about each-other!

  • 5/5 Phoebe C. 6 months ago on Google
Really great hostel. Amazing location. You walk out you are in the center of a ton of things. Rooms are good. Privacy curtains, lockers and charging ports. Staff was really nice and helpful. They new a lot about the area and recommendations. The activities were fun, especially the pub crawl.

  • 5/5 Alan L. 4 months ago on Google
Wish the doors to get in were a little quieter because everyone is partying so late, but I understand security for belongings is a priority. Otherwise it was amazing and I definitely would do it again. Highly recommend. Location is hard to beat and the people are incredible. Will try and stay longer next time.

Stayed in a 22 bed room. If you choose to do this, get a pair of the ear plugs they offer at the front because if you’re not waking up to the rowdy noise outside, snoring, people not waking up to their alarms (and hearing it endlessly ring), sometimes some arguing in the middle of the night etc. none of that is the hostels fault though, I’m just saying. Other than that it was pretty sick and I’d stay there again! Close to lots of food, metro, bars, etc. Bar crawl was just okay, I’m gay though so I’m sure all the straight girls and guys had fun haha. Room can start to smell but just make sure they’re being aired out during the day and it’s all good.

As a hostel great place. Hoped to have more decent rooms - esp for 2. Unfortunately due to curfew not much partying is done not even within hostel. Breakfast is ok. Free beer is a big plus. The activities werent really interesting. Location is awesome though.

If you want to meet new people and having good times, you should definetly stay in Kabul Party Hostel. But rooms are not slient because this hostel is a party hostel, if you want to be rest you should think about that.

One of the best hostels I stayed in! Free breakfast and beer, friendly staff, super clean toilets and showers, and free lockers in the room! Most of all, it's in the best location in Barcelona!

I stayed in this hostel in August and oh wow, it was the best hostel experience I have ever had. The quality of the room, the beds (fantastic little curtain), the food (FAO Tania: the paella was fantastic), the upstairs terrace (beautiful view of the city), the friendly reception staff, the location (bang in the centre)...I could go on. The value for money I thought was excellent and I had an amazing hostel experience. I will return next time I come to Barcelona. The only slight issue was the people making noise late at night, but it wasn’t too much of an issue for me. After all, it is a ‘party hostel’😅 Hasta la próxima Kabul ❤️

This hostel was a lot of fun. I found sleeping easy enough with ear plugs. However, of all the hostels I have stayed in, this one was a little sketchy. I did not feel entirely safe here. Pros: Fun party atmosphere, organized events, easy to meet people Centrally located in gothic region Free breakfast (it was so so) Curtains on the beds Beds were comfortable, with outlets and lights Luggage storage after check out Lockable lockers in room for your stuff during stay Cons: Although this was a youth hostel there was a lot of creepy old men there Little to no privacy to change. Women’s bathroom is tiny. Not enough showers. No changing room. If you don’t book in advance you’ll end up in a room with 22 people.. men kept barging into the women’s room while I was trying to shower and change. No kitchen Could be cleaner

If you are looking to party and meet new people in Barcelona - look no further. This is a nice hostel with a great rooftoop, cheap drinks and amazing people. The rooms are comfortable, not loud and have curtains for privacy. I loved my stay there and would definitely return!

It is an amazing hostel. staff are friendly and helpful. rooms are clean and one had his own personal locked safe for valuable items and room service is good and regular. and most importantly there are various different daily activities managed by the hostel like walking tour. pub crawling, salsa classes etc. it is quite near to every vital place you want to go either walking or by metro

Over 10 years of backpacking and this is my second 1 star review due to a combination of factors. Upon arrival I was offered to check in early, and I gladly accepted if my bed was free as I bangered that I was now 30 hours without sleep. The bed was not free, and I was told I could leave my bag upstairs. Considering I'm paying 100 euro for two nights, the bag storage came with a fee by the hour. I wandered and came back to reception later, where I asked if my bed was free. It was, and i was then informed I could follow through on my early check in for a fee, which I did not take. I came back 20 minutes before checkin to ask again and was told I would still have to wait until 2 to check in without a charge. At this stage my phone was dead so I went to my locker to get the charger, but I was charged an additional fee to access my bag, which had my money in it. So I had to go to an ATM as my bag was locked away until I paid this fee. When I could finally check in, I brought my grievances with the hostel up with an employee, who retaliated and then tried gaslighting me, saying all this information was clearly emailed to me (I checked my emails, and the only fee mentioned was the deposit), and eventually even began asking me if one euro really mattered that much to me. He then proceeded to tell me so other guests could hear, that 'most people are here to have fun', to make me feel guilty for bringing up how irritated I am at my treatment. A very unpleasant experience which has put an early dampener on the weekend.

Interesting place and great way to meet people from around the world. It's situated right on the plaza and there's a terrace where you can smoke and chill.

  • 3/5 Rachel K. 2 years ago on Google
Security is insanely rude and will curse at you in Spanish if they have an issue with you. They are extremely serious with Covid protocol and the whole hostel shuts down very early. The free breakfast is nice and the people at reception are very nice and helpful as well.

  • 1/5 Elisabeth T. 2 years ago on Google
Bad bad bad. Not allowed to drink your own alcohol anywhere ! This is not a hostel. The wifi password is check out at 11, which tells you a lot about the warm welcoming you'll get there!

  • 5/5 Batya G. 2 years ago on Google
The rooms are not the nicest and quite old as are the showers but the incredible vibe of this place makes up for it. The free breakfast is nice but not the greatest, however take advantage of the amazing happy hour the sangrias are great. Really good place to meet people.

  • 3/5 Tom C. 2 years ago on Google
Beautiful view from the roof top terrace. Breakfast included is nice. Is it a party hostel ? Sure, I guess. They take you out on the town to a bar and to a club, for a fee of 12 euro. Other hostels do this for free. The free shot we didn't get because we arrived too late at the venue, but the party leader was apologetic enough. It feels a little too much like a business than a real hostel. There are worse places to go in Barcelona for sure and it would be possible to have a great time here.

  • 3/5 Adroit F. 1 year ago on Google
It was barely okay. They advertise it as a party hostel upfront but that atmosphere is just okay so be prepared to have disturbed sleep. People try to start a party in the dorm at 11.10 and management will not bother to check if the dorm premises are being kept silent. Some of the staff are rude too

  • 5/5 John B. 2 years ago on Google
Oh my god what a craic. Many people here boozing every night and getting messy. I had the time of my life. I was being a bit of a browl but they took no notice and just left me off. Beer is cheap and the beds are grand, not much point in sleeping. I'm still locked to be honest

  • 2/5 Go O. 2 years ago on Google
Great location, friendly staff, cheap. However, not very clean and you won't feel safe at the 8+ dorms! Better surveillance models should be thought of!

  • 5/5 Lachlan H. 1 year ago on Google
Not the best rooms but these are totally made up for by the hostels culture. If you like going out, you have to stay here. Also air conditioning works really well.

  • 5/5 Olivia P. 1 year ago on Google
27 year old solo female American, excellent experience! My goal was to meet others and explore the night life scene. The happy hour allowed me to meet many other travelers, and the pub crawl was a great loosely guided way to explore bars and clubs. Everything very clean, decent breakfast included. Beautiful rooftop views

  • 3/5 Francisca B. 1 year ago on Google
The beds are ridiculously squeaky!! It is so loud it is impossible to get sleep because everyone's beds make loud noises all the time. The bedside lights are so bright that if someone puts theirs on, the entire room lights up. The pizza is terrible, always burnt and almost no cheese. The lockers are good and the beds are comfortable and private with the curtains, but the best part about this hostel is the location, which cannot be beaten.
