And everything he said or done after was in aggressive way, like we were bothering him all the time. And we were sitting about an hour after we had eaten the food and nobody took away the dirty dishes. The glasses for water were super dirty. And I’m not sure if I ever would go back here

Service is very friendly and one of the server loves using all the English phrases he knows which can be quite entertaining. This place has free WiFi and strict seating rules which limit where people can sit with their laptops, totally agree with this policy. I can recommend this place for anyone who just needs a place to sit with their laptop or for a quick bite though what I tried was lackluster and was unfortunately disappointing. The salmon sandwich for example, as translated on the English menu was not a sandwich at all but instead a piece of toast with lox. The fruit smoothie was not a smoothie, but rather a mixture of apple juice and strawberries sans banana which might have come from a carton of pre mixed juice. I had a pleasant experience and would certainly return albeit I'll have to try something else next time.

During our trip to Barcelona we visited Federal Café three times in three days. The first time was great, the coffee was good and the food was okay. The second time, the service was great but there was a particular waiter (who didn’t serve our table) who would give us weird looks and he was pretty rude with his stance. The third time we went it was the same person (the rude one) and he was purposefully ignoring us and not coming to the table, I went to order on the register and he coldly told me “Order on the table when I come” so we waited for 3-4 minutes while he was drinking his coffee on the register and giving us weird looks but then decided we wouldn’t like to tolerate his behavior so we left and the exact minute we stood up and starting walking he went to the table we were sitting and reorganized the chairs like nothing happened. Overall it’s a nice place, with interesting people and nice coffee but that waiter in particular ruined it for us.

The Café staff was very friendly but obviously they’re short staffed. It’s really a pity! I expect to wait another 20 minutes before getting the menu - don’t come here starving.

From the vibe and menu it felt like your typical Australian brunch place. We had the pancakes, an iced oat latte and toast. The latte was good, the pancakes were amazing (the fruit was SO fresh!) but the toast was really bad. The bread tasted very stale and was brick hard, we let them know though so I imagine they’ll be aware of that. The servers were really sweet and accommodating so it wasn’t a problem.
