Interesting to take a look. I thought it was seriously cool that there are original remains of a city that is two thousand years old. Quite surprising to have a small city under the one you're visiting.

Is good to visit this museum, is a piece of history of Badalona city, visit Jardins de Quint Licini, the Quint Licini gardens, and enjoy the ancient Romans in Badalona. After that you can go to Dalt Vila, near to the museum, Dalt vila is an ancient neighborhood, the ancient Roman village. You can visit el Carrer de Mar, an historical street if our city, the beach and a promenade named la Rambla de Badalona do not confuse with Rambles of Barcelona. To arrive to Badalona city you can come with Subway line 2, Pompeu Fabra station by renfe train, or by car and park in the parking of Pompeu Fabra Square. Badalona city is near to Barcelona city. Come here and feel new sensacions near to the big Barcelona. Ask in tourism office in Francesc Layret street.

What a hidden gem. This is one of the most incredible museums I have ever been to. Not busy at all, you don't feel rushed or overwhelmed by the mass amounts of people similar to Barcelona. You can truly take your time and really examine and take it all in. For only 6.5 € worth every cent. Be aware of mid day closing. Give yourself enough time to truly enjoy it. Actual roman ruins of a once bustling community.

It's a very interesting place for those who like Roman history. Nice architecture, hard to imagine there was a full working roman town under modern Badalona. With their stores, wellness center, all well documented. Feel the magic to walk in ancient history

It was interesting our visit there. I recommend this place if you want to discover the historical truth behind Badalona. Customer Service is offered by old people who are lacking of enthusiasm, kindness and energy. It is located in the City Centre.

Unexpectedly great and well done exhibition around the ancient Roman city of Baetulo. Displays are in Catalan, Spanish and English. Shown & explained are all different parts of the city from different mercenary houses to thermal bath and latrines. additionally a bit of pre Roman history and where to find the Ibers (village on near by costal mountain, possible to visit as well) It's quite big for the fact that it's underground a building and has nice multimedia displays. 3 further nearby sides are included in ticket which are open every second week in month if I understood correctly. It's all wheelchair and child buggy accessable. Don't know about car parking though. Definitely worth a visit

Really well laid out path above the roman ruins, which in some places are very complete. Spectacular! Worth a visit to see the original town of Baetulo which preceded modern day Badalona.

If Pompeii is your thing, visit this museum. My daughter moved to Badalona and lives nearby so I was able to visit easily. Nothing on the outside of the building gives a clue as to what's inside. A beautifully excavated Roman town below the level of the city with clear signage as you walk through that explains each building below and its context. You will view Badalona differently after you visit. A lot of fascinating history here.

Nice museum. It could be more interactive and it is a shame that during a visit on 2nd September 2023, we learnt that 2 of 4 sites of the whole museum are closed and another one only opens on certain Sundays of the month. Good point is that you could use your ticket for one year.

A must visit I’m my opinion for travellers to Barcelona. Phenomenal Roman civilization remains right underneath Badalona. You get to explore the ruins and go through the museum of all the artifacts they found. One of the best museums I have ever visited. It took us 2 hours to explore and get through it. Be aware of the afternoon siesta hours when planning your visit. And best of all this place was not busy and run over with tourists!! Such an enjoyable visit!

A fantastic experience. A professionally recreated construction is unearthed and presented with academic archeological precision. My knowledge and perspectives of old Roman culture in these parts was enhanced clearly. The English translations were a great help. I spent two hours here but I could easily have spent two weeks here absorbing the atmosphere. The admission was 6.50 euro and cheaper than the municipal underground parking a short distance away.

Absolutely wonderful museum, with a raised walkway over the excavated Roman town. Excellent written descriptions in Catalan and Spanish and English. Modern art was placed around the Roman ruins when we were there. It was great.

👍👍 Good place to walk, beach and maritime atmosphere in a unique area of Badalona, typical of the Maresme and nothing to do with the urban, central and polluted Badalona. This is the most beautiful part to take a walk and enjoy the sea breeze and the typical coastal town houses.
