Celler modernista de Sant Cugat

Tourist attraction Museum

👍👍 It is a very special place to hold medium-sized performances. If it's heading into the evening, it's better to warm up because it's always windy! People often mention Sant, modernist, Cugat, winery,

An excellent example of Sant Cugat's wine culture and modernist architecture. It is surrounded by a fence that prevents possible and more than certain acts of vandalism.

Place to visit Modernist monument commissioned from Cèsar Martinell in 1920. Conceived as a saddler, today it can be visited as a monument, where auditions, concerts and other cultural events are also held. The last vinification took place in 1988. It is a good example of a modernist building and a benchmark for local farming.

Sant Cugat, modernist building (wine cooperative) by architect Cesar Martinell, disciple of Domenech i Muntaner, father of the wine cathedrals (Gandesa, Guim, Sant Cugat, etc.), today converted into a museum.

Magnífic edifici modernista al centre de Sant Cugat. Fàcil aparcar i amb restaurants a la vora. Una verdadera noia digne de gaudir, Lluís Muncunill.... Val molt la pena perdre's i disfrutar aquest edifici.

Also known as a modernist winery or cooperative winery and is part of the inventory of the architectural heritage of Catalonia. It is home to the Sant Cugat del Vallés museum Built by César Martinell and part of the project could not be finished due to lack of budget The relevance of its plan brick turns or Catalan turns made of work and that were customary in agricultural constructions in the first third of the 20th century This winery operated until the eighties and some of the facilities were demolished when it was transferred to the city. Dating back to 1921, this beautiful construction aims to maintain the historical memory of the town,

(Translated by Google) I visited it one day with the family and we were lucky enough to be able to count on the explanations of the person in charge of the cellar, who, by the way, also told us what the monastery was like and the monks who lived in it. Then we went to visit the cloister and it was worth it. We spent a morning that we were able to enjoy the culture of Sant Cugat and everything for free.

Visita lliure i gratuita.

The place itself is curious: it tells the story of when the economy of the region revolves around wine. However, it gets a special charm when it becomes a concert venue (for example, at the end of June, when the Festa Major is going on). The photo is from when the orchestra of the local Escola Fusió was about to perform The Typewriter, by Leroy Anderson
