Our visit was September 2015 and we still chat about particular objects and paintings we saw there. It was luxurious to be in a human-scale space, up close enough to see every detail, and not crowded at all by other visitors. When I look at the prices being charged today, our memories-per-Euro from this little museum are probably second to those from the Sagrada Familia. If we're ever able to visit Barcelona again, we will definitely return. Thank you for preserving this as a personal collection not scattered across a much larger institution.

A small but beautiful museum. The lovely art nouveaux furnishings and stained glass are a treat an feast for the eyes. There is an exhibition in the basement. The museum was a gem and was free entry.

(Translated by Google) I found the place interesting and it has transported me to other centuries. Very good sculptures, furniture and paintings. But and the jewels ????? This section has disappointed me a lot, since Barcelona had an extraordinary Mascarreras representative and there is no section dedicated to it. My point of view is that I find it incomplete, so it would be very interesting and advisable to include the jewelry section that was not little. Thank you for being able to express my opinion, hoping it will be taken into account.

(Translated by Google) A very good, launching pad for exploring the magic of Barcelona. A visit here will help to understand (at least a little) the architecture of the city, what is Catalan modernism and what kind of city will appear before you. The museum opened in 2010, in the building of a former textile factory (the house was built according to the project of Enric Sagnier). A decent collection of creations by Antonio Gaudí, Jusep Puig-i-Gaddafalc, Jusep Llimona, Eusebi Arnau, Ramon Casas and other masters, dedicated specifically to the Catalan Art Nouveau (coincidence - and Plaça Catalunya nearby ...) is represented by paintings, sculptures, furniture and decorative applied art ... Sometimes concerts of "live" music are arranged here ... In a word - start a journey through the capital of Catalonia, from here ...

Nice but really just a collection of modernista furniture and sculpture plus 4 great stained glass panels. The lift shaft was decorated in the Gaudi mosaic style and is one of the nicest things. I was hoping for some history of the buildings in the city of that era. Despite some reports there is an entrance fee.

(Translated by Google) You don't have to visit as many people do, so if you have time or are near Barcelona University, it's worth a visit. At first I thought it was just a furniture exhibition, but the furniture used in that era and the basement have pictures and there is a place where I can sit graphically and listen to explanations. It's a great place to go and relax for a while to satisfy your cultural sensibilities.

This museum is a little treasure chest! It just bursts with extremely beautiful objects from the beginning of the XX century. I would recommend it anybody interested in the Art Nouveau and Catalonian Modernism!

Excellent small museum celebrating Barcelona's golden age of art deco and art nouveau. We got an inclusive ticket with the Barcelona card and enjoyed an intense visit of about an hour - but you could easily spend less and feel satisfied. A beautifully curated space with pieces immediately in front of you - the Gaudi furniture here looked a lot better than in the giant rooms at the National.

Really impressed by this small but incredibly interesting museum. I have been trying to visit for years but with the pandemic and other issues haven’t got around to it until now. Well worth the visit. Great temporary exhibition going on right now about Els 4 Gats. A key museum to understanding the city.

Again the price was 6 €, so it's worth going to visit you will love. For example, the Museum of Catalonia has a huge section with paintings and furniture of the modernist style.

(Translated by Google) One of the most famous representatives of Art Nouveau, or rather, "Catalan Art Nouveau" is the architect Antonio Gaudi. However, the basic ideas and techniques of Catalan modernism are also present in sculpture, painting, design of jewelry, furniture, dishes and other areas and areas of life. The Catalan Art Nouveau Museum (MMCAT) was opened in Barcelona in 2010. It occupies two floors of a mansion built in the Art Nouveau style and is completely devoted to the Catalan modernism style. Art Nouveau, as an art movement with certain common features, developed in Barcelona with the help of its own influences and styles of the Catalonia region. I read that the Catalan Art Nouveau (Modernisme Català) is a special universe. I absolutely agree with this statement! and I strongly advise you, friends, to include MUSEO DEL MODERNISMO BARCELONA in the list of necessary tourist sites in Barcelona!
