I highly recommend to visit the museum on Sunday afternoon, just before its closing hour, and then take the last bus 107 which departs at 14:00 from the bus stop just in front of the museum. The bus navigates all the way through the Montjuic (please imagine the second dot there) cemetery uphill. It's a lovely panoramic route and the cemetery itself is very picturesque. Once the bus takes you to the top of the hill, you can exit the cemetery through the upper gate and reach the Montjuic fortress by easy walk in 20 minutes, just before 15:00 which is when they start letting people in for free on Sundays.

MUSEUM OF ROYAL FUNERAL CARRIAGES OF THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES OBVIOUSLY in PARIS: AND NOT IN MONTJUIICH like other reviews that UNDULY BY ERROR HAVE NO DOUBT BEEN INCLUDED here: It is not a very large collection but it is beautiful and very very interesting to see. If possible, be sure to go see it because it is undoubtedly worth it and if that were not enough, it is also free. It is located down from the exit that we have all used when arriving to enter the Palace just on the left side which means it is exactly on the right side in the direction of entry obviously BUT BE CAREFUL: ON THE OUTSIDE OF THE ESCLANADE OF THE PALACE OF VERSAILLES Admission is free

Really nice place to visit if you have a little time. Free of charge and you get a glimpse into a different way in which people showed their wealth. If you go, make time to also visit the cemetery.

Fantastic display of horse drawn hearses and carriages, plus 3 motor vehicles. The items were very well laid out with detailed explanations of each one and what it was used for. For example the white hearse were predominantly used for children as the mortality rate at the time for them was very high. Free entry as well, and the staff were very knowledgeable and very friendly, and are a credit to the museum.

Came to ask for a taxi, stayed for a quick private tour by a charming staff member. Thank you so much. A very interesting place.

Montjuic's hearse museum is a one-of-a-kind exposition in the world. Featuring well over 20 funeral vehicles from different eras and artistic styles, it gathers quite a history about Barcelona's funerary traditions throughout the years. I recommend starting your visit to Montjuic's cemetery by entering this museum, and then moving on to visit the graves and mausoleums outside.

Very extensive collection of carriages etc. I had never seen anything like this before. No entry fee If you visit the cemetery it is worth seeing this exhibition.

Interesting exhibits, small and untypical museum under the Montjuic mountain, shows the horse' carriages as well as motorised. Free entrance.

Small museum explaining the history of funerals and funeral carriages in Barcelona. Interesting and free. Allow 30 minutes for your visit. Hours are very limited. Follow up with a visit to Montjuic cemetery.

The museum is free, so cannot really argue about the price, but there are no drinks, no coffee, no sandwiches, no wifi, no a.c., I could've died of multiple reasons there but...pun intended..i kinda was in the right place to do so. For the entry carriages they had horses but not the ones fancy with fur and marble eyes and so... No no.. The ones like the mannequins at shops, hard cheap plastic. All the carriages were nice and pretty cool, and I have to admit I was impressed of the care for a nice ride. All carriages had extra tender suspensions with metal sheets. Many more and more complicated than the ones in the city for the living clients. The wife loved it, she is a bit into dark stuff and this was right up her alley
