Gorgeous 360* degrees view over Barcelona, all for free. Honestly it was more impressive than Park Guell. They are both located close by to each other and is worth seeing both. However maybe see this place after the park since is more impressive so the park doesn’t look its charm. Also Google shows open times for some reason…since is in open air you can go here 24h a day. Tip: get some drinks and watch the sunset here.

Very cool place overseeing the whole city. Open 24/7 and free for public. In June the sun goes down at 9:30pm so prepare to come at 8pm to get a nice spot. Bring some snack and drinks because you would want to spend 1-2 hrs enjoying the atmosphere here. Most ppl come here are young adults who likes to play music and chat in group. I don’t really mind and actually find the music very nice to enjoy while sitting there. Lastly, bring a light coat in summer as it may get cold.

The views here are SENSATIONAL! I would plan to come here around sunset - bring food and alcohol and just enjoy the sun going down on such a beautiful city. The vibe is also just so nice, a lot of young adults hanging out and listening to music and just having an all around great time. The walk up isn't bad at all and is pretty quick. Maybe one of my favorite view points!

Would definitely recommend visiting here if you are in Barcelona, you can walk up or take a bus up. We walked up and down and seeing the views as you go up is really amazing. The views are just fantastic, you can see some wonderful buildings and of course the Sagrada Familia is in the middle of it all. I took some lovely Panoramic Photos up there We went in the day time but I imagine the sunset and at night would be amazing! Note that there is no shop/food available or toilets at the top! You could stay up there for 20 minutes or hours upon hours sitting down and admiring everything. * One of the questions on this review was "Do you recommend buying tickets in advance?" Please note that this is free and you don't have to buy any tickets! (Only bus if you go on the bus!)

One of the most outstanding places in whole Barcelona! The 20-minute hike to the hill is definitely worth it. Not only is this the best and most picturesque view over the city, but the bunkers are also very interesting by themselves. It allows you to feel what the war would have felt like. It is a different feeling you can sense from that place. Moreover, the graffiti make in more colourful and vibrant. The surrounding hills are also worth visiting as there is a forest and nice views over Barcelona. Overall, don't miss out on one of the best sights in the city and visit the bunkers!

Incredible view over the city! 10 minute steep walk up to the top after taking the bus, but worth it - especially for sunset. You get an unique impression of Barcelona, overseeing the Sagrada Familia and the whole city, 360 degrees. Was really crowded on a Monday in August, so go a little early.

Great viewpoint over Barcelona! Similar view of Park Guell but free and open 24h. I'd recommend to go there just before the sunset and stay until dark. Mind there's no bar/lodge/facility up there so consider to bring your own drinks. If you come by bus, there's a supermarket nearby the last stop. From there, you have a 10-minutes walk uphill going from a tarmac road to a gravel/dirt path. The very end of the trail has steps, so it may not be accessible to anyone. Also, consider it may get quite breezy up there in certain seasons, just be prepared.

I had an incredible experience visiting the MUHBA Turó de la Rovira (Battery Viewpoint) in Barcelona. The highlight of this attraction is undoubtedly the breathtaking panoramic view it offers of the entire city. From this vantage point, you can see Barcelona in all its glory, with its iconic landmarks and stunning architecture spread out before you. The short walk of 15-20 minutes from the bus stop to reach the viewpoint is well worth it. It's a pleasant stroll, and the anticipation builds as you get closer to the top. Once you arrive, you're greeted with an unobstructed view that stretches as far as the eye can see. It's particularly magical during sunset or at night when the city lights up. The historical significance of this location as a former military battery adds depth to the visit, and you can learn about Barcelona's past while enjoying the present beauty. Whether you're a history enthusiast, a photography lover, or simply someone who appreciates breathtaking views, MUHBA Turó de la Rovira is a must-visit in Barcelona. It's a place where you can truly soak in the essence of this vibrant city.

Great walk up to the Bunker! It’s fairly easy to find the way to the entrance from Alfons X station, and the view up there is amazing! Bring some water or beer with you, because you probably want to sit down and enjoy Barcelona with it.

Epic spot to visit for sunset. Also just Ana amazing view over the city at any time. It gets kind of busy and is mostly 16-35 year olds but it’s a fun and inclusive vibe whatever age. A lot of people take a picnic and there is usually a few people there walking around selling water and beer. It’s a reasonable walk to the top but nothing that bad. A taxi will drive most of the way if you prefer. Fun to take a drone but note you can’t fly above 150m due to restrictions on flight paths.

There’s honestly nothing like finishing a day by hiking up here to have dinner while watching the sun set over Barcelona. The view is absolutely breathtaking. Prepare to be blown away. It’s quite a distance but I promise it is absolutely worth it. If you’re scared of heights and can’t climb to the very top, you don’t have to. You can seat anywhere and still get a great view. Which means you need to get an hour before sunset to get a great spot. Also, it gets busy but you won’t feel alone as a solo traveller in the midst of strangers. It also gets a bit chilly/windy depending on the season so don’t forget to bring a hoodies along. Not forgetting, it is completely free.

Sunset here is a must. Bring drinks, something to eat and something to sit on (a blanket) and watch the sun set over the most beautiful cityscape in Barca. 360 degree views, a vibe, music and young crowd.

Nice place to see all of Barcelona and the sunrise. To all visitors, please try to respect the environment and take your glasses and food waste with you. It's a free and one of my favorite places to chill in Barcelona

This is one of my favorite spots of Barcelona. The view is simply amazing. It feels like you have Barcelona at your foot. Not easy to get there, you need to walk a lot and always going up, but totally worth it!!

This place arguably provides the best view of Barcelona, seeing the sun sets here is a must do while you are in Barcelona. Bring your own drinks and snacks while enjoying the view. There is also some guy who sells drinks and beers, but lots of people bring their own.

If you are in Barcelona, this hill is a must. Take your time zo go throught this whole hill, its nice walk for plus minus 2 hours and worth to spend your time. For best experience go here for sunset.

Decently hard hike to do if you’ve just ate. There’s a ton of incline walking and stairs but it’s definitely worth checking out for amazing views of the city. There are cafes and other food available on the way up

If you have a long-term visit to Barcelona as a tourist, I definitely recommend you to go. Reaching the top can be a bit of a challenge, but it's definitely worth the view. If you have the energy, you can start your route here. It has the most beautiful panoramic view of Barcelona. 🤩

Pretty decent crowd to watch the sunset. On the way up you get greeted with a lot of anti tourist graffiti which is a bit off putting, but the view at the top has police and people seem to be very chilled and relax with the beers and wine in their hand. There was once a toilet but it seemed permanently closed, if you're a female it's probably best to go easy on the liquids

Perfect place for a picnic while watching the sun go down. You can bring yourself some snacks and everything. But bringing something warm won't be a bad idea. It's a bit cooler up here. The views are spectacular!!!

Called the bunker, our taxi dropped us off a bit early but you can get a lift to the top. The climb was truly worth it. It’s breathtaking up there, the more you look the more you see. Stunning views. A must visit if you’re only in town for a few days. Taxis are really cheap in Barca and everywhere.

For me this is one of the best places to visit if you want a free and relatively easy accessable climb up upon a mountain with benches and shade on the way to enjoy the view inbetween. [*This is for people without disability only so I don’t know how the experience changes for people with disabilities. * Disclaimer] so we hiked up to the viewing point and as usual saw a lot of people hang out and enjoy the view with music and drinks, taking pictures and gazing over Barcelona. You can Take good pictures but since some areas are closed off by fences it’s harder to find good angles.

An absolute must-see in Barcelona, and I can't believe I didn't read about this a thousand times more before travelling. From central Barcelona, it's a bus ride and a bit of a hike away, but very easily done and 100% worth it. Stunning views of the city, water, mountains, etc. and a gorgeous aerial view of the city. I would recommend bringing a picnic and spending a good chunk of an afternoon here, as watching the sun set over the city was a breathtaking experience. There are washrooms at the top, but when we went, none of them had working locks so bring a partner to stand guard for you.

Beautiful view of the whole of Barcelona, I would highly recommend going here for the sunset as it is really magnificent. We went up to the viewpoint with a speaker and enjoyed music with other people. If you are stuck for drinks there is lads selling them in the more congested areas 👍

Incredible panoramic views of Barcelona. Probably the best within the city. Extra special during sunset and I imagine sunrise would be stellar too if you can get yourself up there that early. Not hard to get up there if you take public transportation as far as it goes and then you walk the rest. A bit of an incline followed by steps/ramps. Worth it 💯

Amazing view over Barcelona 🇪🇸. I recommend going for a sunset or a sunrise (for the motivated ones) the sightseeing is breathtaking, you can have a look at the Sagrada familia and recognize other monuments and the sea. It’s a must do if you travel to Barcelona the panorama is worth it. There are a lot of people therefore it’s best to arrive 1 hour before sunset (at least)

Always a good place to visit when coming to Barcelona! Seeing the 360 views of the city where you can see La Sagrada Familia, Agbar tower, Hotel W, the coast and the square shaped of Barcelona neighborhood. The hike was not really bad, and there was a bus and metro station nearby

Easily the best free spot in the city to admire the magnificent view of downtown Barcelona. The best time to be there is half an hour before sunset so you have time to choose a spot and wait for the golden and blue hour. You can walk there but I suggest taking the bus at least when you go and then if you like some walking you can leave on foot.

  • 5/5 Mayra P. 4 years ago on Google
The best panoramic view of Barcelona. These War bunkers were built in the late 1930’s to defend the city in the civil war. Take care of this area, don’t leave your trash behind if you bring a small picnic & drinks. It is becoming quite known and we need to respect areas like this. It is a great place to hang out with friends.
