An iconic piece of architecture in the heart of Barcelona. If you get a chance organise a quick tour to learn about the place and have some cava on the rooftop bar. Don’t hesitate to climb one of the “punxes” (needle towers) for some fantastic views of the city. Great for corporate events and workshops.

On our way to Sagred familie we came across to this beautiful place which used to be a residential property of 3 sisters. From wikipedia it says: In 1905, Bartomeu Terradas Brutau commissioned Josep Puig i Cadafalch to design a house for each of his three sisters, Angela, Josefa and Rosa. The result was a building reminiscent of old medieval castles, with elements of different architectural trends and various technical innovations, with six pointed towers (crowned by conical spikes), one of its distinctive features which gave the popular name of Casa de les Punxes.

A really hidden gem in the heart of Barcelona. A stunning building and seems that was builded yesterday, so conserved, that most of people doesn’t know about it when they come to the city. It’s really worth it a site seeing!! The Catalans really knows how to do art in architecture!! Recommend it 100%

It costs 13€ but if you are student you have discount and the price is 11.50€ you can pay with credit card. It is one of the best museum in Barcelona!!! It deserves the ticket's price. I recommended it to everyone!

(Translated by Google) Interesting but incomplete and material resources, but its history well explained. It lacks decorated furniture and other things that I suppose I had to have a house that on the outside is beautiful but gives the feeling of missing things on the inside (Original) Interesante pero incompleta e recursos materiales , pero bien esplicada su historia. Le faltan muebles decorados y otras cosas que supongo que tenia que tener una casa que por fuera es preciosa pero da la sensación de faltar cosas por dentro

I visited this house that was included in the bacelona pass card. is a very beautiful home designed by the Catalan architect Josep Puig and Cadafalch. the tour starts off a corridor with an interactive hologram with a river where swims fish and floats leaves and then walks from room to room featuring the St. George legend and the story of the house. you can climb the terrace and enter each of the towers.

Although we just walked by, we still felt its beauty and art, and couldn’t help but stay to take few pictures with it. It’s one of the houses designed by Gaudi.

This beautiful modernist building only opened its doors recently for the public. Although very big inside, you can actually only visit a few parts of it. Those are very beautiful though! The rooftop terrace is also open and is probably the best bit with the iconic towers (= punxes). In the summer there are evening concerts (swung, jazz etc) and the atmosphere is truly magical!

(Translated by Google) It is a great building. In the visit you see practically nothing, if it were not for the terrace that is very curious, it would not be worth it. To teach something they have set up an audiovisual that explains the Sant Jordi legend, very well done but not what you expect if what you want to know is the building. (Original) Es un gran edificio. En la visita no se ve prácticamente nada, si no fuese por la terraza que es muy curiosa, no merecería la pena. Fabulous iconic venue for a team event. We recently hired out a few rooms for a team get together. Claudia and Sara were incredibly helpful from the very beginning, on hand to answer anything we needed. The team loved the location and the terrace is amazing for lunch/coffee breaks. Would recommend.

Casa de les Punxes, located in Barcelona, is a modernist architectural gem designed by architect Josep Puig i Cadafalch. Built between 1903 and 1905, the house features a unique blend of Gothic and Catalan Art Nouveau styles. Its six pointed towers give it the name "Casa de les Punxes," meaning House of the Spikes. The building is known for its intricate façade, rich symbolism, and historical significance in Barcelona's architectural heritage. Today, Casa de les Punxes is open to the public, allowing visitors to explore its fascinating interiors and learn about the city's modernist history. Recommended for tourists. Interesting exhibit of house's history + more St. George and the Dragon history than expected. Fun visit. Rooftop has the equipment stashed for hosting parties or events, either private or seasonally. We were here in late December and it was good weather up top for browsing from the towers

Not what I was expecting when we stumbled on this building. The tour begins with a fun presentation about the legend of St Jordi, it was really well done. Then you can go up to the roof terrace to explore the towers.

This was a fun museum with doors that opened by tthemselves during a timed audio tour. The rooftop was beautiful with the different towers. A small gift shop downstairs with options for souvineers. Also there is a cafe downstairs with indoor and outdoor seating.

  • 5/5 Kira M. 4 years ago on Google
Nice interactive museum worth visiting. First exposition tells you about the dragon legend with exiting movie shown on the walls of the museum along your way. Then it switches to the historical and architectural peculiarities of the place. And of course a roof view with all the towers on top is great!

This place is so boring. At first it seems like it will be interesting but it gets drastically worse. The towers were also terrible. If you like to read this is the place for you. If your looking for some special architectural design don’t go here.
