A gem of a museum in a gem of an old town. Beautiful art pieces and quality temporary exhibitions. The Breton art is impressive and there are some larger pieces that are spectacular and well worth the visit just for them. The entry price is also very reasonable at 5 euros which leaves some money for a crêpe after the tour! Plan about 2h for the visit.

This museum exceeded my expectations! The architecture of the building itself was art, and the collections were clearly well-thought and tastefully displayed. Excellent assistance and friendly staff as well, and all this at a very reasonable price. Plus the temporary exhibition was great and thought-provoking. If I lived in Quimper, I would come here over and over again!

Amazing! The art collection from different periods and movements is outstanding. I came from lorient to specifically view the Vivian Maier expo, which is a must see. It gave me chills! The museum itself is designed beautifully and has access for people with disabilities.

Tolles Museum.

A really beautiful museum, well kept , architectural interesting , always good exhibitions ,even with not so much money as in N.Y, Vienna, Frankfurt or The Würth Collection. The staff is very helpful and friendly I come here everytime I am in Quimper.

Schöne Toulouse Lautrec Ausstellung, aber auch viele andere Bilder. Sehr moderne Gebäude und Preiswert mit €5,50 p.p.

Excellent Pernant exhibit. Nice temporary exhibits (see pic for one while we were there) Museum is nicely curated with some interesting Breton art.

This museum is very beautiful. It is a museum with three floors. It has some sculptures and some very beautiful paintings. Interestingly, it has a copy portrait of Mona Lisa Those of you coin-passed day-trippers must visit this museum. The people inside are very nice

Wunderbares Museum, interessante Architektur ... Rare ausgestellte Werke, auch speziell zur Bretagne , ein Saal der Pont-Aven-Schule, Sonderausstellungen. Sehr freundliches Service-Personal.

Smaller art gallery with an impressive collection of regional artists, and even a Ruebens and a Bruegel!

Plan two trips if you are into Breton history through the artists eye. Fantastic exhibitions and well curated spaces.

Excellent exhibition on Odilon Redon at the local museum of Quimper. However, the teacher's pass is not accepted so I had to pay the full price. Staff not very welcoming either.

This is a beautiful space dedicated to Breton artists and a great diversity of other works. I love going and spending a few hours there and introducing visiting friends to the Musée de beaux-arts de Quimper.

Very nicely renovated building, cheap entry but don't expect a half day visit. Only 1,5-2 hour at moderate speed. Exhibition level is fairly high with enough quality to keep you happy.

Sehr gut kuratiert. Sehr freundliches Personal. Und sehr gute und interessante Museumsarchitektur - vielschichtig, viele Perspektiven, warme Holztöne.

This was a great little gallery in the centre of Quimper. We loved all the pictures the Klimt was a high point. There was a queue to get in but it was relatively quick and the gallery was not too crowded. There where 6 or 7 big rooms of painting and a lot of information, in French we used a app to translate.

👍👍 I really enjoyed the guided tour of the factory, by a young girl who knows what she is talking about, to see the hand-made production of superb unique pieces is really very interesting. A superb boutique, again highlighted by quality staff.

👍👍 Nice trails outside of Quimper and very dog-friendly! Well-maintained paths and clearly marked. We didn't get to see the whole park on our first visit, but if you go early in the morning you'd be able to explore all the trails by dusk, and it'd be worth it!
