This place is a bit outside Barcelona but it’s not difficult to get there at all. Take the train from Plaça d’Espanya. You can buy the combi tickets (train tickets + entrance fee) at the station, get off the train at colonial güel . From the train station follow the blue footprints on the ground about 10 minutes. The Crypt is not completed but fantastic and very beautiful. Such a pity that Gaudí didn’t finish this crypt.

Incredible place worth seeing. The entrance costs 9,50€ but it is completely worth it as you have the audio guide available in multiple languages that tells you the history of the place as well as the entire town. This is a place that you must see if you are around as it perfectly portrays Gaudí’s special universe.

This sleepy town hosts the interesting church built by Gaudi for the Guell family. It's in a sleepy historic town and the architecture won't let you down. You'll need to buy a ticket from the tourist information office before entering, stock is one block from the church.

Visited today during the 22nd Festival of Modernism which was great! It may have been busier than usual and parking is generally free but we paid 3 euros to park during the festival. We saw traditional colonial dress and there were vendors, a band and live acting. I would budget 2 hours to go through everything but you can do it much quicker if you have less time. We reserved our tickets online the night before and selections for our group of 7 was slim but that may have been due to the festival. The church was really cool, like all of Gaudí's work. It's part of the textile factory. Interesting tour with English audioguide and signs in English throughout. Use the map and follow the route.

I couldn't see Gaudí's crypt from the inside since it was closed, but the architecture from the outside looks a bit like Sagrada Familia but it's not great as the latter. I was more interested in the town and the whole colony and the history behind.

(Translated by Google) If you were charmed by Gaudi's creative imagination, after pampering yourself with his Barcelona creations, don't hesitate to visit the crypt of the church in Colonia Guell !! Just 15 km from Barcelona, you will discover this miniature Sagrada Familia, in the same modernist style, capitalizing on the amazing spectacle of nature. (Translated by Google) About 20 minutes by train from Espana Station to Colonia Guell Station. Colonia Guell station is an unmanned station, where there is nothing. There is a church on the edge of a very small town, centered around information. Buy a ticket at the information. At Espana Station, you can buy tickets that include a train and an entrance ticket. If you have time, you can take a short stroll through a small town for about an hour, following the brochure. The church itself isn't that big, but it's a big deal, so you can sit in a chair and enjoy it over time. Although it has some rough edges, it is a Gaudi-like building.

(Translated by Google) Historical place of obligatory visit, for being a jot of modernism and having a great historical value. In addition, with the ticket, you have an audio guide that explains the history of the most emblematic buildings of Colonia Güell and the history of the crypt designed by Gaudí. The price is fair with what you are going to see, and the staff that is there is kind to you and solves all the doubts you have.

Pros: - mind blowing architecture - calm atmosphere and nice place overall - affordable tickets Cons: - I think you may need a car to get there - the overall crypt is small and you will finish visiting it under 30 mins Mention: Get a local guide or audio guide while you are visiting it because otherwise the whole experience will be much poorer.

Beautiful, albeit incomplete Church designed by world famous Catalán architect Gaudi. The biggest mystery is why did Gaudi walk away from the project he created having spent 10 years planning the project for the village including this masterpiece. It was probably because after the founder of the village died Güell, which Gaudi had a fantastic relationship with, Gaudi fell out with his son who did not want to spend the budget Gaudi wanted to compete it.

Absolutely worth your money. We thought it was 10€ just for the crypt but once you get to the information center, they give you a map and an audio guide, giving you a tour of the entire village. There is also an 11th century castle hidden away behind the park in which resides the crypt. It is full of graffiti and run down but worth visiting nonetheless.

Good place not as good as Casa de Pedera or Sagrada familia. One of the first Gaudi project to integrate it's new waved art in architecture. Beautiful. Gaudi never finished his work, you can see the difference between Gaudi Works and the entrepreneur that finished it.

(Translated by Google) Gaudi is good at games of light and shadow, and is also seen in the special style Quill Textile Church. The Quill Textile Church is in the little Quill Textile Village! ⚠️ Please remember to go to the ticket center to change the textile church ticket first (advice from the sad person who walked around the map on a super sunny day and then went back to the ticket center to buy tickets ☀️) The textile village also has small attractions and Catalan-style buildings. It is a very slow pace and suitable for walking around. You can take the subway Espanya (Plaza de España station) first, and then take the FGC train from the subway Espanya to the FGC (Catalonia Railway) Espanya to the Quill Textile Village! The ticket sales staff will assist in the purchase of tickets (including tickets to Textile Village + Textile Church, but the tickets must go to the ticket center to be replaced by physical tickets first) How do I get to the textile village from the station? Just take the blue paint on the ground! But it's a bit mottled. After arriving at the textile village, you can go by blue paint (you will also be taken to other small attractions by the way) Outside the church are various religious symbols such as biblical symbols and fish. Everyone said that only the cellar part of the church was designed by him personally, and the other buildings: the textile factory, the residential area and the main body of the church were all by his two apprentices: F. Designed and built by Berenguer and J Rubio i Bellver, so you can see the different styles! But in fact it has not been confirmed. No matter how holistic but integrated, it is a very beautiful look! Gaudi designed the hanging dome by calculating the weight of the vault. The pillars of the church look like trees with leaves. One tree after another, with leaves scattered. There is no straight line, it is completely an arc and a curved line, which once again reflects what Gaudi once said that the straight line belongs to humans and the curve belongs to God. The altar of the textile church is not gorgeous. The crucifix metal hangs the crucifixion Jesus. It happens to be in a beautiful visual balance with the seemingly simple cellar. The large flower window and other lights and shadows make the simple cellar more exciting. Atmosphere. The roof can see the village scenery! This is a quiet and lovely town, full of comfortable pace and full of cats and cats, as well as Gaudí’s buildings and beautiful Catalonia’s sun, there is nothing smaller than this afternoon trip Travel is even better.

It is a beautiful place but the review is for the staff, they were very rude. The place is not disabled friendly and you have to go to another place to buy tickets. The receptionist didn't even acknowledge any disability despite having an official card and a picture of the person who was waiting near the crypt/church, who stayed outside after this fiasco. The person who is waiting at the gate outside is the opposite of friendly and he seems to enjoy his power trip. My recommendation is to go to the Sagrada familia instead. Better not to come to a place where you are not welcomed. P.s good luck navigating to the center or whatever it is to buy the tickets for the crypt

From Barcelona Pl España public transport (S3, S4, or S8) will get you to Colònia Güell station (end of the line). From there it is less than 10 minutes walking (uphill) to arrive. Eusebi Güell invited Antoni Gaudí to build a church in this working class/laborer community. Gaudí took the opportunity to practice some of his most innovative techniques and designs. It is therefore seen as an experimentation lab for the construction of Sagrada Família. Gaudí's design incorporated leaning pillars and catenary arches, as well as the use of organic shapes and symbolism which are seen in Sagrada Família. In 1914 the project was brought to an end when Güell decided to withdraw funding for the construction of the church. The existing nave – the only one to have been constructed – was consecrated just a few years later, by which point the church had begun to be known locally as the ‘crypt’ owing to its single chamber structure. In 2005 the Colonia Güell was declared a UNESCO World Heritage site alongside six other masterpieces by Antoni Gaudí.

If you love architecture you must go and visit the Crypt. It is small, but is magnificent and, because not to many people go, it is usually quite empty. You can see real design in here, from the columns and the beams, through the furniture, etc. The museum only shows a bit of history, some pictures, etc. Also, please remember you are helping a small community.

A 30 minute drive from the center of Barcelona, this small catheral in a quiet village gave me great comfort and hilling experience. Though contruction wasn't completed, the catheral has speechless beauty and attractiveness in both inside and outside. In some sense, the catheral and stones comprising it looked just like a natural monument becoming really well with trees and weeds surrouding them. I love Sagra Familia very much but this place is more lovely to me. I want to visit this place again before I die.
