The airport is very confusing, so I recommend getting there very early, we followed multiple signs just to end up in the same place. What I found the worse is customer service, most employees we encountered were rude or dismissive. We hadn't even finished a question before they were telling us they didn't know, to move forward,to check somewhere else, i even heard the customs officers being unprofessional talking rude about travelers not knowing I spoke the language. There are plenty of restaurants and shops all around, with a lot of different foods. The bathrooms and the hallways were very clean, which made the airport look nice. The covid testing place is easy enough to get to and even easier to go get the test done with an appointment, if not then you risk waiting in line for a while. The testing place is also very expensive, but it helped they were at the airport and we didn't have to travel anywhere else to get it done. Overall, an ok airport ,but not happy with customer service. Great cleaning service all around 👌.

It is convenient and fast. For tax free refund, we should keep in mind for enough time for validation and stamp. Immigration is also fast. Fast track for the customs is very convenient and useful. Regretfully, there are not many luxury brands in the duty free shops. It is not soneasy to find the airline lounge. But once you arrive there successfully, you will be satisfied with the kinds of food and drinks.

A good airport when flying to and from Barcelona. Easy to get to and park. Also accesible by subway/metro with the special airport ticket easily found at any purchase station. Note that you cannot get to the airport with just any ticket, it MUST be the airport ticket and it will be machine verified at the exit point before the airport metro entrance. Connected by a sky bridge that makes it easy to get to the check in area. Security checkpoint is fast, efficient, and equipped with new technology to make your travels and checkpoints more secure. Very friendly staff, too! Plenty of shops and restaurants to choose from, though the pricing suggests you should select stuff before coming here unless you’re really hungry or forgot a souvenir. Boarding gates can get a bit crowded. Recreation points available throughout. Handicap accessible, with wheel chair ramps and lifts, and also places you can check some out as well. Sanitizer points throughout, and observing covid guidelines and regulations with social distancing in the waiting areas. Must have F2P mask presently to board the plane. You can find some in machines on site, but better and cheaper to get some beforehand. Bathrooms are kept clean. Water fountains found throughout, along with vending machines for snacks and drinks.

Flew in and out of the airport in late May/early June. Had no issues, really, and found the airport fairly easy to use and navigate. We flew in and out of Terminal 2. There’s a very decent range of shops and restaurants. The airport is relatively close to the city centre. There’s public transport available or a taxi cost us around £20-25 to a fairly central location. Staff at the airport were helpful and friendly. I’d be more than happy to use the airport again.

The setup for non-Schengen departures can easily separate you from all but a single cafe and duty-free store with limited hours. Once through security follow the signs for A,B,C gates to go down the escalators and enjoy the full variety of restaurants. Look ahead to see how long the passport queue is to allow enough time to come back up the escalators and pass through immigration. Both security and immigration queues for both our early-morning arrival and late evening departure were almost non-existent. I had to alert one of the security staff to our presence when we got the queue as there was no-one ahead of us. All the staff we encountered were courteous and efficient. I don't expect security or immigration officials to be particularly friendly and none of them were.

ONE OF THE BEST! One of the best airports I have visited, visiting and will visit !!! I'm writing the review again because the airport has improved a lot. The way that the airport operations are done is amazing. The 2 terminals are wonderful and very well connected. We have metro, bus, taxi and particular car service. The cost is 8€ if you want to drop someone in the Terminal 1 for 30 minutes for example.

Beautiful new airport. The airport is so bright. Everything very clean well organized. Screening was slow because the person scanning also personally checks the bags if something is found. Allow 2 hours to be safe. Lots Of food options. Veiling uses no employees. It’s all self check including your bags.

Huge airport very well equipped, a little bit far from the city center. Inside, a "shopping mall" brings everything you need and more, space is clean and restrooms are plentiful in all areas. Check-in speed depends on the company you fly with and customs are usually fast and organized (on not too busy days). What really fails at this airport is the lack of a direct access from other parts of Barcelona by surface train, subway or public transportation.The only lines available means you always have to rely on cabs and Uber when you're not near a main station, both of which are quite expensive anywhere you want to go. Otherwise, it's a great structure for this amazing Spanish city.

Take a close look at how departures are organized and you will notice that there was great thought and care put into streamlining the whole process that most take for granted. It’s literally one of the best in Europe. Safe travels 🙏 to all who read this as well as to those who haven’t.

The best airport I’ve been to. Has water fountains so you can refill your water bottles, we found two in Terminal 1. One was to the left when walking in (it’s in the loos). The other one is by McDonald’s and the exit to the outside are. These toilets are much cleaner and the water refill station has a proper tap, the other one didn’t and it was awkward. Lovely outdoor area, would be good to have a dedicated smoking corner so people can actually get some fresh air not just cigarette smoke. Plenty of shops and seats in the Duty Free. Security queue was relatively quick. I liked the fact that Taxi’s could enter the area without paying a fee, other airports should learn from this.

June 2022 5* I had departure flight from the airport. The entire process was smooth. The airport terminal is well maintained and well connected with public transit. The security line was not crowded. If you have priority access, there is separate queue area. There are many shops inside the airport and also food courts. You may have long walk to gate so make sure to check gate location.

Very easy to navigate airport. They have self check in screens which makes the process very fast if you don’t have checked luggages. It has an outdoor courtyard if you wanna get some fresh air or have a smoke. Has 4 VIP lounges. Lots of places to sit all over with very helpful and kind staff at the info desks. Also great wifi.

Lovely airport to fly to. Easy to go thru security check even at peak times. Toilets are not the best to be fair, but you have plenty of shopping and eating areas to satisfly every need.

It is a beautiful Airport with relatively few persons. Navigation is straightforward, although you might have to walk long distances to find your terminal. The restrooms are well-cleaned, and everything else seemed good.

This airport is great. I booked the fast-track option for my fiancé and I and it truly lived up to its name - we were completely finished with security and free to explore duty-free within 5 minutes of arriving at the terminal! It was super speedy and definitely worth it. There’s a good range of duty-free options and getting to the gate was a clear and efficient process. Some members of staff were a little cold but, bar that, I had a very pleasant and swift experience.

Beautiful, clean and tidy, with clear instructions and fast customs. There are many shops and food courts. The transportation to and from the city is convenient and fast. There are subways, buses, and buses to choose from, or you can directly buy a package, and you can go directly to Barcelona in 40 minutes. In the urban area, there are also transportation services in the early morning. It is a great airport✈️

Good airport with a big selection of shops and restaurants, if your on a long lay over make sure you get a lounge as the Terminal is a very busy place and can get a little tedious after time. Restaurants are quite expensive inside the Terminal but you can find anything and everything inside. There is also 2 huge smoking zones outside with bars.

We were at terminal 2! Easy to get here from the city! You have many choices but we took the metro because we have hola Barcelona card and it was included so why not! The airport is big and the security check went super fast even there were many people there. They have some restaurants open inside the gate so you can sit and chill there BUT they don't have smoking area in the gates so if you wanna smoke just do it before you get though security check!

It was a breeze getting through security and getting food, drink and duty free here so I’ll give them credit where it’s due, but the toilets and waiting times for departure updates need working on. To start with, the toilets in the main lobby were entirely flooded on the cubicle side with overflowing toilets. We were also kept waiting by airport staff trying to board our plane after it had been delayed twice. Despite the screen saying boarding was due, we didn’t board until 20 minutes afterward. Not the best of experiences.

The staff are helpful, had a smooth arrival and departure.. Ambiance is quite relaxing, food & drinks prices are not much exaggerated. Flight arrived and left on time. 👍 Only drawback : bathrooms in arrivals terminal are in a mess 😔🤮🤧

Very well managed and clean airport. Easy to go to city centre by many kinds of transportation. Well direction sign - easy to find what passengers needed. Airport staffs are helpful and friendly. Everything went smoothly. I am happy to use this airport again.

One of the best Airports I would say in Europe. They have plenty of food options easily available. The ground staff is very friendly and helpful. Its nicely maintained and easily accessible by public transport as well.

Safe travel , the boarding and checkin process was done very soon . Liked the service. Also good and nice products in duty free.. there are also charging slots , which has European pin only... You need converters. Only problem is the security check-in line , where there is no proper queue , after alot of crowd , suffocation starts .

This is an amazing airport, the staff/employees are friendly and helpful. There are a lot of cool stores and cafes, and I’d say it’s pretty clean for a airport. There are a lot of signs to help people for example where to go and other stuff. The food is really good which I was surprised by. Overall it’s a really great airport!
