Not impressed at all. I stayed last week in a suite with my wife and some friends. I am a Marriott platinum member and the hotel did not offer any of the traditional platinum benefits. I asked if they had a lounge and was told they did not have one - only to see one on my hotel room TV when I walked in my room. They did offer breakfast but only after I asked. Also, both bathrooms had toilets that had been used with "a present in them". On top of that they did not let us know at check in that the water was turned off to the building. I also noticed they did not issue any points for the stay - first time I've ever had that happen. Also, did I mention every person we talked to from the time we walked in the door was rude. I'm giving them two stars only because the bed was comfortable.

The hotel staff was friendly and even upgraded my room to have a great city view. The area has some nice restaurants and is close by to the catacombs. It is a bit further south from the center of Paris. The rooms are not as modern as some other hotels but overall fairly clean and nice. The restaurant staff and bartenders were also extremely helpful and nice. I ran into a couple of major issues though. First, my bathroom did not have toilet paper on the roll and the toilet still had the previous occupant's morning dump in it. This was fairly disgusting to discover when I arrived. The second issue is that Marriott's webpage said there would be complementary water bottles but there were none. I called the front desk to ask about it. They responded that it was not included and just hung up. Surprisingly poor service there.

One of the older dimmed hotels... had a few long-term stays here when the room ceiling collapsed at the coffee bar area in the wee morning... receptionists wasn't trained to handle - so I changed my choice of hotel for long-term stays thereon.

This is a nice clean hotel centrally located in Paris. My husband and I stayed here on our trip to Europe June 2006. We had a very nice room and the hotel staff were pleasant . This was the last place we stayed before our return to the United States and even though it wasn't my favorite hotel on our trip it was still quite nice.

June 2023 Update: Unfortunately the Rive Gauche is Gone! We had to visit this summer ourselves to find out. Locals told us hotel so dependent on foreigners it could not survive pandemic. Here are recent photos we took. I lived here From 2017-2019 and it was terrific. Unfortunately I think Covid wiped this hotel out. The Marriott app was not listing it as a possible stay this summer. And website continually say sold out. I assume they went out of business or Marriott sold them. If someone knows actual situation please post.

Amazing hotel. It is also walking distance to the metro with two stops near by. I really like the rooms very quiet and spacious. I highly recommend staying here. Lots of food options near by the hotel as well and a small grocery store just around the corner for snacks. The noise coming from outside was not bad at all I hardly noticed.

Great 10 night stay. We stayed in a junior suite 1536 and room was perfect. Aircon great, cool and quiet. Decor modern and clean. Beds very comfortable. Free mini bar too. The food in restaurant is good. Gym is also fully stocked with free weights and machines only a rowing machine is missing. We had a great stay. Many thanks

It’s a beautiful hotel in Paris.Spacious lobby. The room was also spacious but felt a little bit dated. The beds were very comfortable and the air conditioner quiet. Nice soft pillows. Staff was friendly. Wifi throughout the hotel. Breakfast was basic but nice enough. Closely situated to the underground catacombs in Paris.

The hotel is nice and clean. The room was nicely sized, which was a welcome surprise. The room was also clean. Didn’t dine at the restaurant as it was a bit pricey. Hotel is close to 2 metro stops, 1 being about 1.5 blocks so we could easily access and use to see the sights. Overall it was worth the $$$ spent for the time at the hotel however I gave 3 stars because when we checked in we were told a room was not available, even though we were open to either 1 or 2 beds, yet the hour we waited we watched other people arrive and go up to their rooms. Then when I presented my Marriott rewards card to put on my reservation a room was then available.

The staff spoke good English which was a good start for me as I don't speak French. I was there for two nights while attending a professional conference. The room was amazing, very clean, comfy beds, useful desk, nice TV, everything you would expect for the price. I was a little disappointed the standard room I was in had no USB charging facility but that just shows how nice the room was if that is the only down side. As for the conference, the food was amazing and it just kept coming so I was happy. The hot water for tea however was at time barely warm, I think they could potentially benefit from upgrading those hot water dispensers. As for the coffee that was fine. The conference's rooms themselves were perfect, comfy chairs, pads and pens on every desk and even nicer, water (unopened)! Overall, very nice venue, professional staff, perfect for the occasion.

Lovely, very clean and quiet room. No slamming doors which is a pet hate if mine. The lifts however, seemed to pose a problem for us and others. We walked up five flights as this seemed quicker than waiting. The breakfast was a bit of a mess. Two Coffee machines for seemingly 100 people which meant a long queue. Average breakfast food.
