First and foremost, like other St Christopher's, this is a party hostel. On the weekend, the bar turns into a lively place with music and drinks. If this is not your vibe, I recommend staying somewhere else or coming here on the weekdays. The breakfast was amazing and had a huge variety. Check-in was quick and smooth and staff were very helpful. The biggest downside I noticed was how small the bathroom and showers are. Other than that the rooms and beds were fine and I had a nice view of the Eiffel Tower!

St. Christopher’s Gare du Nord boasts an excellent breakfast of croissants, pastry, vegetables, deli meats, cereals, juice, coffee both drip and from an espresso machine with a choice of milks. I understand this changes seasonally, but it was ravishing all laid out and pleasing to the eye. They are a very popular party hostel and see a great deal of business each day. The attached Belushi’s has a garage door-sized entrance open to the street, and is packed with people, nightly. There are several floors, one with a lovely terrace view down into the glass ceiling of the bar. Rooms are clean and bunks offer personal shelf and generous outlet space. I did arrive a day late to my booking after a breakdown, and, having called several times in the preceding 24 hours to try to notify staff of this, I had to proceed as I’d already paid for a stay of several days with no refunds. I was, indeed, greeted at check-in with the fact that I had been marked as a no-show and my bed had been resold to someone else. When I explained to the staff at the front desk that I had made several attempts to reach them, they told me they are often too busy to answer the phone, and suggested I send a message online next time. They told me the only way I could stay was if I paid for a room upgrade; it was this or cut my losses and find somewhere else to stay for the rest of my time in the city— with no refund, of course. There were people behind me in line and I knew from the way my place had been sold to someone else without contact that I was not a priority, so I gave up and paid the man for the upgrade. I am quite fond of St. Christopher’s Inn as a chain, and I think Camille is an excellent and efficient manager wherever she goes; I want to believe this was something that happened because of a couple of bad operational decisions, but it was not right. I work in hostels and as a great proponent of the practice I stay in countless hostels over the course of a season, though I seldom take the time to write a review. I know that things work best when beds are filled, but even the popular hostels need to maintain something of the human spirit to be found in our community. There is an expectation of attitude, a trust that travelers put in our hands as operators and as constituents of the hostel habitat, and I hope St. Christopher’s will be a welcoming ambassador of that spirit in the future.

The location of the hostel is very good and convenient. The dorms are very spacious and at the same time very clean. If booking is done directly via the hostel you get free breakfast. This can be of great help if you're looking to travel within a budget. Also, I stayed in a mixed dorm and I must say that it felt pretty safe for me. I however had few concerns: 1) The blankets / pillow covers etc are not changed for a new visitor(s) (I just happened to notice this personally). Therefore, it raises a hygiene issue, more specifically during Covid times. 2) The hostel receptionist (I can't recollect her name, but she seemed senior amongst the others) is very rude, not accommodating. Generally people staying in hostels would be budget travellers and very new to the city and therefore an accommodating hostel reception would be much preferable than encountering rude people.

Had a lovely stay! Beds were comfortable and toilets were always clean. Common areas are nice and my friend and I enjoyed having some drinks at the bar. All staff we met were kind and welcoming. A special thanks to Ruth at reception for being super kind and helpful! Location is great, 5 min away from train/metro stations with many shops and nice restaurants around the corner. Would definitely recommend it and stay again!

This is the second st Christopher’s inn I’ve stayed at around the world and it was massively nicer and far more honest than the one in Cornwall! The staff here were friendly and the room was decent with the bathroom being very clean. It is noisy until 2am but with ear plugs it’s silent enough. Beds are comfy but pillows very firm. For one night I have no problem staying here and would stay again as the location is great and the price is right.

Honestly this was an alright place to stay. Location isn’t really that great: - 1 hour walk to Eiffel Tower - 1 hour 20 minute walk to Louvre Was checked in quite swiftly so nothing to complain about there and staff were nice :) Shared bathrooms were not very well looked after, could definitely do with some work there. Not really very social honestly, but may be because I only speak English and it’s France so many people speech French. Isn’t a bad place to stay. VERY SAFE INSIDE HOSTEL. There are multiple doors that you must open with a key card before getting even close to a room.

We got a private room and although it was tiny it was perfect! The bed was very comfortable with clean sheets. The shower water was hot and cool enough for the both of us. It was a very tiny shower good for 1 person at a time. The windows and high ceiling gave a lot of height that made the room feel bigger. Next the service was very good as well. The people at the front desk was able to help us and most talked multiple languages making it very easy to communicate. They including the breakfast staff was very kind people. They were having a flash deal on breakfast at €5 per person. It was all you can eat buffet with a slow coffee maker (very good coffee tho lol) and various breads, yogurts, fruits, boiled eggs, ham&cheese, and basic cereals. The breakfast room was actually very spacious. People do stay up a bit late as we did hear people walking, talking, and partying into the night 2:00am. But luckily the rooms do block quite a bit of noise.

Keep following things in mind before booking Pros 1. Rooms are clean and well heated 2. Location is good. 3. You get milk, juice, cereal, coffee, bread, butter, cheese, jam, fruits and ham in breakfast. Cons 1. If you book from hostel word then you have to pay 5€ for breakfast and if you book directly then it's free. 2. You have to pay extra for towels. 3. Pay extra for luggage storage.

The common room is tiny (maybe eight chairs) meanwhile the hostel is huge. The WiFi was absolutely terrible and for that reason I checked out early for a different hostel. It worked less than 50% of the time I was there. Breakfast is basically just bread, deli slices, and juice. Staff was rude and work up everyone in my room at 1am to check their reservations because the front desk made a mistake. The locker system is very convenient and the rooms are clean though.

I have nothing to complain about this place… my experience was very good. I got there and checked in and went to my room, I booked a 8 bed female dorm and it was all cleaned and organized, it was on the 3rd floor so you could choose stairs or elevator!! The location is perfect because you have 2 stations near the hostel that can lead you to anywhere you want. The bathroom was also clean and very comfy!! All of the staffs are so nice, I would definitely stay there again. :)

The location of hostel is good for travelling, especially when arriving by train. However the staff didn’t seem very welcoming at all. Although I understand it must be a stressful job it did start our stay off a bit sour. The rooms were basic but good for the price. The bathrooms were again basic and an alright standard of cleanliness. One night we had the breakfast which I wouldn’t recommend purchasing as it was awful. I don’t think I would stay again or recommend but was convenient at the time.

Literally worst experience ever. Do not ruin your trip, please read if you are searching where to stay in Paris. Shower is terrible, which can only extremely cold or hot water come off(probably the boiler wasn’t turned on). No place to place your clothes in the shower room in the tiny tiny section in a mixed toilet and shower room. Overall the hygienic is horrible, seems it’s never cleaned. And off course no hair dryer. To use a locker, you need a key as they don’t provide, or can buy. There is a club on the ground flour, which makes so loud noise whole night so you would struggle to sleep as I do. Even the location is not nice, where outlaw immigrants, drug dealers are just right in front on h to e street. Smells pee, should be people talk to you if you look like a traveler. A white man talk to me and grabbed my bike rented, and tried to steal from me on the first day in Paris. Even if you are looking for a cheap hostel don’t choose here.

I do not expect much from a hostel in terms of amenities. After all, hostels are affordable for a reason. There are a few things, however, that should be givens—air conditioning, a bathroom in the room, clean shower facilities, easily accessible rooms, etc. This “inn” has none of these, and actually more closely resembles a prison—but with privacy curtains! I had to scan my card in 4 places before being let into my cell, one of which being the elevator (after I already scanned it to get to the door in front of the elevator). I would describe the bathroom/shower situation as appallingly filthy. I doubt the vents in the bathrooms were cleaned once since this place was built. The floors of the showers are stained with decades of built up urine. I don’t think I felt cleaner after showering here. Half the power outlets in the room don’t work, and the built in power stations in each bunk have gone on strike, much like the cleaning crew. My theory is that the drink dead at the bar downstairs exist to enable you to forget about the horror that awaits you upstairs. Also, what kind of place makes you pay a €2 deposit for a key card, as if it’s a shopping cart I will make off with? DO NOT STAY HERE. If you’re with friends, cough up the extra 20, 30, even 50 euros and split a hotel room. If traveling on your own, check out Generator hostel, jut a few street away. I regret not booking there for my entire time in Paris.

Extremely disappointed by our stay last week as the reviews and cordial email interactions led me to believe this was a fine establishment. Our room was right above the bar so of course we knew we were going to have noise issues (not a big deal). What was annoying was that the room curtains wouldn’t completely close and our shower never got hotter than lukewarm. The most unnerving aspect of this hostel was the rude staff at the front desk with an attitude that the customers were beneath them. Do not save money by coming here. It really isn’t worth it.

Staying in November. Expensive white polo left on the bed in an empty 4 beds room, the cleaners come, it disappears. Did they mistake it for laundry? Did they steal it? Staffs takes hours the next day to check on the team and clearly doesn't care. No safety, no feeling of responsibility. Good location but save money and take a room on your own elsewhere or take everything with you, every day.

We stayed at a 2 people, private bathroom room. The room wasn’t completely clean, there were some tissues left. Other than that we didn’t have any problems with hygiene. Didn’t eat at the hostel either. Staff was helpful when we left our keys inside and let us check in early. Very close to metro, and a nice location to stay.

We stayed here during our last day/night in Paris and it was a great experience! They have free code-access luggage storage available before and after your stay, and the rooms were tidy and spacious! Would definitely stay here again, especially with how close it is to the train station (two minute walk)!

I stayed in a 10 mixed room on the second floor for a week. At the check-in when paying city tax I was overcharged (3 times more than the website I made a booking on stated and at the website I was told that the property provided this information; I was supposed to pay 5% which is less than a euro in my case but was forced to pay 2.60 and person at the reception just said that I can check in only when I pay this amount and did not care about them stating different information in my reservation). The room was okay. The cleaning is not good. They remove the top bunk bed mattress, put it in the floor (before cleaning the floor), then put the bedsheet on it and put it back. I was on the lower bed and I had so much dust and hair on my bed every time they changed the top bed. Also, the cleaning personnel is very loud, I mean of course it was on me that I arrived late and had to sleep in until 11, but I really almost got a heart attack from them entering the room while I was still sleeping, though I wear earplugs. The beds are shaky, you feel every movement of other people. There was a weird backpack in the room under the common table, though I was the only long staying person in the room. The hostel doesn’t seem to impose quiet hours (I didn’t see it in their instruction glued to the bed), therefore, people are talking throughout the night without even trying to hush the voices. On Saturday the music from the bar is heard everywhere during the night. The nearest bathroom had 2 showers, only one of which had warm enough water. The stream is bad but even with such a low stream the bathroom was flooding. The soap dispenser was broken for 4 days out of 7 I stayed there and nobody tried to fix it. Cleaning schedule in the bathroom did not change even once, though they have to sign the hours they do cleaning at. Bath towel is rented separately. In general, it is not the worst hostel I stayed at, I felt safe enough in the room.

Great fun. Cool building in a very convenient location (right next to the Gare du Nord and Gare de l'Est), and with a bubbly, upbeat atmosphere. The staff were really friendly too. Particular thanks to Amber for the warm welcome and being so helpful.

Great location and friendly staff. It's within walking distance to both train stations and public transportation. We also got the free breakfast for booking directly which was fine enough. Nothing fancy at all. There were, however, issues were with noise and cleanliness. Our window was somehow broken and wouldn't close properly at the top. With a bar that stays open until almost 2 am right next door, sleep was almost impossible. We also had mold in our bathroom on the floor. We did get fresh towels during our stay, however. In short: great for a party trip, but maybe not the best for a relaxing trip to Paris.

My sister and I had a brilliant time staying here for the week. All the staff were so helpful, and the rooms and bathrooms were regularly cleaned. I had such a nice time at the free wine and cheese night, and Laura made it so much fun and easy to meet people. Ellie was super helpful with everything, and so lovely. Everybody working in the bar was super kind and funny that we came almost every night! We will definitely be back <3

The location is great and the staff were nice. However I just honestly could not recommend staying here. The WiFi was horrible earlier reviews said so and they were right. The local McDonald’s had a better connection. The room was nice but the bed was two twins put together and it was a mat on a frame not a mattress that would keep slipping off. If you want to be comfortable in Paris just gets hotel room

Such an easy check-in and helpful staff!! People here are friendly and able to answer some questions about Paris and traveling around Europe. Really enjoyed the atmosphere with the bar and able to meet others easily. Our room was clean and easy to live in for our few days there. They are a quick walk to tons of cafes as well as the train station that can take you to the airport or anywhere in Paris. Highly recommend!

The hostel industry! No charm. I was on third, weekend nights, very hard to sleep on account of the nightclub downstairs (I was on the third floor). Bathrooms was always flooded because of the showers next door, and the doors slam so loud, like the gates of hell. Breakfast very scarce and I had to pay 5€ for it. I think for those who like to party this hostel can be convenient, but not for those who want to rest in a cozy place. The good points: beds are pretty small but comfortable, people at the reception are nice, good location.

A very nice and cheap hostel if you don't want to spend a lot of money. The rooms were clean and pretty large, with the curtains on the bunk beds giving you your own little space. Sometimes the bathrooms were a mess but that's mostly on the guests. Check-in and Check-out were simple and quick, the staff was friendly and helpful. You Walk about 45min-1h to get to the Seine, which isn't a problem if the weather is nice.

Very fun and clean hostel! I had a great stay here. My all-female dorm was nice and quiet. The shades helped to darken the room. Beds are comfortable and high-quality. The bar downstairs was fun, I attended a mojito-making event for hostel guests and was able to make friends easily. Breakfast is good. I had a great time!

It's fair from sites but not too far from stations. We read a lot of reviews before booking (our rooms door worked fine). They do offer towels, chargers, padlocks to purchase. I wish at least the padlocks were rented since we only needed it for the stay. The walls were gross, not gonna lie. The bathrooms were fine. The room smells like 12 people are sleeping in there, which there are but investing in air freshener would be a game changer. Staff was wicked friendly. Their breakfast isn't bad for the price but you might as well just check out a local bakery.

Overall the rooms, bathroom and accessibility to main train station is good (10 mins walk). The staffs are friendly. Also love the curtain for each bed for privacy. However, it’s relatively far if u want to walk to the main city for sight seeing like (Eiffel tower). Definitely need to take the train. The down side of this hostel is that it doesn’t have a kitchen for u to cook and the lounge area always fully packed all the time. The kettle at the resting area is nasty. It has lots of white residues inside 🤮 and the bathroom has no heater.

Good hostel nearby train station . Best for backpackers with good locker facility. Check your timings and check in accordingly. You might have to avail locker facility if arrived before time which is an added expense. Stayed in girls dorm, nicely heated and very spacious with good clean beds and good height of upper bunk beds. Security was great too.

The Hostel is located very close to the Gare du Nord and therefore close to some Metro Lines. Still in my opinion its not very central. I would recommend a hostel closer to the Seine. The area around the hostel/Gare du Nord is not very nice — there is a lot of drug selling happening on the corners and women are constantly approached by weird guys loitering in that area. I would really not recommend this hostel for girls especially when travelling alone. The bathrooms of the hostel could be cleaner. Also the air in the rooms is very stuffy (Opening Windows is strictly forbidden). I will not stay in this Hostel again - I think there are better, cleaner and more central ones closer to the Seine.

Very clean, central, friendly reception and very affordable price. For the noise-sensitive upper floors might be better to escape the beats from the bar. Would definitely come again!

This hostel was so fun and convenient! I’m only giving it five stars because of the location- I think I would stay closer to the first district or Montmartre next time out of convenience. The staff were five stars. The bartenders were friendly; the staff puts on an event for the guests every night to get the night going with free alcohol and there is always free happy hour! Free breakfast if you book online. The beds had a curtain which kept it private and the bathrooms and showers were clean and easy to use. The hostel is easy to get in and out of at any hour, and there is security too. I made some amazing friends here while traveling alone! I’ll never forget my three days in Paris. Thank you, St. Christopher’s!

One of the best party hostel I have been in my life. St Christopher Inn are hostels all around the world, who provide a good ambiance for people who are alone and want to party. There is a bar and a DJ scene in the middle of the hostel! The price is cheep, well located and they even have a free "all you can eat" breakfast with meat egg and cheese if you make your reservation on there website ( if it's not on the website you have to pay but it's cheap). Bed are so comfortable and the workers are so kind.. love this place!

This is a great party hostel for those looking to have fun on a Wednesday night or every night. The hostel was really clean and the staff was always friendly and helpful. I wish I could've stayed long enough to enjoy one of their free tours around the city, but if you can take a tour with them go for it! It's nice to have a little bit of company while solo traveling. On the other hand. The location is great, but the neighborhood looks a little bit dangerous at night. If you can, come to the hostel to do your check in either in the morning or in the afternoon just to avoid any issues in the streets. Overall, great hostel. Stay here if you can. ?

(Translated by Google) Great hostel with a good atmosphere, a nice bar / pub, the rooms are clean and the sanitary facilities too. Nothing to say about the value for money. My only downside in terms of security, of course it is important to have an attentive security guard in a district like the Gare du Nord, but sometimes they think they are too kings of the world, they make haughty remarks and even allow themselves to deny you access to your room because they think you are a little tipsy (returning from a birthday party to your hostel at 2am with 4 or 5 pints in your nose is still not a crime ...)

(Translated by Google) We chose this place for logistics reasons: walking distance from the North Station. The area is specific, as you would expect. There are no complaints about the hotel itself: friendly English-speaking staff, an automatic luggage room (our suitcase fit into a small section for 3 euros per day), security at the entrance and a bar in the courtyard. The room is clean, but there is very little space, especially in the toilet - the feeling that you are on an airplane) however, for one overnight stay, it is very good.

It is very close to the metro and train station (at night you have to be careful, it is not the best area in the world in terms of security); In 20 minutes you are in the main tourist attractions. AS IMPORTANT DATA FOR FUTURE CUSTOMERS, I would warn you that the premium rooms with bathroom included HAVE A Tiny BATH IN WHICH YOU CAN'T EVEN MOVE, so I recommend taking a room with a shared bathroom because they are infinitely better (if you have a bathroom in the room, You have no option for a shared bathroom because they are on another floor -one of the receptionists did me the favor of giving me access to the bathroom floor, thank goodness-). This is a good hostel, I booked a bed in a 8 beds dorm. Because of the covid, we were only 4. The sanitary is okay. You will have a good price/night and may meet some cools guys. You don't need to wear a mask but they don't allow to book all the bed in each rooms due to covid restriction. You pay the same price and you have a more quiet and comfortable stay. The included breakfast is not served because of the covid restrictions. You may pay more if you take a separated locker or if you don't book direct from their website. Take a lock if you wanna use and lock the locker under your bed.

(Translated by Google) I was at St.Christophers Gare du Nord right in the first week after the corona closed. I was received very nicely and the team is very friendly. Unfortunately, the breakfast could not yet be offered, as it was not possible to guarantee the necessary distance. So I can't say anything about breakfast. Otherwise I felt very comfortable. The rooms are clean and the sanitary facilities were sufficient and always clean. The bar is very nice and as a hostel you get discounts, which I didn't use as there are a lot of restaurants and pubs in the immediate area. In general, the location is more than perfect. Right between the two train stations. You are fast everywhere and that makes a big difference, especially if you don't have that much time. I can only recommend this hostel and would come again.

We stayed in st Christophers inn, in Paris, for three days during April 2019. We had a pleasant stay and met a few people. Stuff was excellent and were speaking English. The only set back was that the hostel is located at a not so good place, in the second zone of Paris. Gare du Norde was smelling like piss.

We stayed in a double-room, which was quite ok (and on the top floor). In the bathroom there is a sheet telling that they will swap out towels every 2 days and sheets every 4 days. None of this happened during our 5 night stay, but it was all ok for us. Just maybe don't expect that. There were some people that played loud music at 2-3am, keeping everybody awake, but I guess it's part of the hostel life (they literally write "party hard" ;)). Its very close to the Gare North, which was super handy.

St. Christopher inn made my budget.

I would not recommend this hostel. We stayed in a four person dorm for five nights and it was not our favorite hostel experience. The bar has a good happy hour and food prices are good but everything else was horrible. The room was very small and there is only a very small common area to sit in which is crazy to me for such a huge hostel. We had problems with cleaning people coming in at 10am every morning even though the hostels policy is that they cannot clean with guests in the room. Additionally, we felt unsafe and had to switch rooms during our last night because one of the guests in our dorm was coughing, sneezing and laboriously breathing. It is strange to me why they do not check covid passes or take any covid precautions, especially when you cannot enter the hostel bar without a covid vaccine certificate. Overall we had a very frustrating experience with this hostel.

The place is alright, but I'm giving this a 1 star rating because the locker facility is a complete rip-off. The machine is designed to scam the user. It doesn't tell you to pay up front, just says that a 24hr locker hire is possible. It just tells you to put in any coin to start the hire. And when you try to take back your things later, it charges you by the hour instead of for 24hrs and forces you to pay extra. An amount much higher that the 24hr rent. The staff was pathetic and rude and refused to sort out the issue, forcing me to pay an amount equivalent to 3 days rent of the locker when I used it only for around 6hrs. It clearly shows that they have intentionally designed the system to scam the user. Would not recommend this place because of the questionable principles and the way they cheat their customers.

Friendly, very good price, close to the city center but not the safest location at night though it makes up for it by being close to the Gare Du Nord which is a central train station. They have the biggest and best lockers I’ve ever seen under the bed and safe outside the room is also optional for 3€/24h small locker (more than enough) and 5€ the Large. The beds come equipped with 2 usb (mines weren’t working), 2 power sockets and a light in case you needed anything. The reception works 24h. The cleaning is done everyday on time! Fridge for your goods, amazing bar/restaurant and great suggestions for the city exploring. I really liked the price quality for what they offer :)

Pretty good place at an affordable price (compared to other stays). Would suggest you to carry a lock to put things in the cage underneath your bed, else you can pay extra for the locker. Breakfast vouchers have to be bought separately sometimes. Quiet place, except at nights when the music blasts at the bar underneath.

Private rooms are tiny and 2/4 of the lockers were unusable due to the layout of the room. The showers were disgusting and were not cleaned thoroughly enough. The attached bar was busy almost every night, some nights with live music which was nice, but there is 0 sense of community at this hostel due to the bar catering to the public and no attempt by the hostel to organize group activities.

Pros (+) Cons (-) ------------- Price + Very reasonably priced, particularly for Paris. The free breakfast has quite a good range for a hostel and further increases the value for money. Location + Proximity to Gare du Nord means that you are close to several metro/RER lines. - Not within walking distance of (m)any places most visitors would be going. + Helpful staff. + Extremely efficient check-in and check-out. Accommodation itself (Dorms, beds, showers) + Relatively comfortable beds with good privacy curtains and power sockets. - The space to leave things on was quite small which can be frustrating if your stuff falls on you during the night or you have to leave everything in the cage and keep going back/forth. - It is not possible to quietly use the luggage cages, doors, ladders to the beds and the bunks themselves without making a lot noise, easily disturbing others. This isn't the best choice of accommodation if you are a light sleeper. - Dust and significant dirty spots. - Window in the room was broken, meaning that noise from the busy street below could always be heard. - No cold water in the showers, which were not clean (hair in the drains etc).

Place is big, lots of space around on the rooms. Sturdy good beds, very clean. Bathroom clean and well maintained. Breakfast was included and consisted of coffee, juice, fruits, bread, cheese, jam, cereal, milk and more. All you can eat. Location was the best, close to Gare du North so easy to get around. The pub is right attached to them with great music and food. Can’t say enough good things about this place!!!

Overall my stay was very good. Staff are friendly. Rooms are very secure, location is great and the complimentary breakfast was good for it being free. Only complaints are the showers are not super clean so definitely bring shower shoes. Also the buy one get one free drinks is not accurate. It is only for very specific drinks so be careful when you order because most things they’ll charge you full price for and they don’t mention it until after you’ve ordered.

I stayed in 8 bed female dorm. The room was spacious, beds were a bit shaky with movement but still nice and sturdy with good curtains. There was no noise from the bar downstairs and other girls kept it very quiet. Breakfast was nice and worth 5€. Shower flooring would need a deep scrubbing or changing overall.

The good aspects of the place is that is located very close to the Gare du Nord (one minute away), the fact that it has a bar and a place to dance right under the rooms (I didn’t hear a noise) and Precious and Senna which were the nicest girls ever. Me and my friend asked them if there are many vegan and vegetarian options for breakfast and they gave us free tickets for the first morning so we can convince if we have something to eat or not. They were really helpful. What I didn’t like is the fact that there were 3 bathrooms on our floor and only one was usable. Both the bathrooms and the rooms would need some repairs. Otherwise, I can say that I stayed with quiet people, and the employees were very nice and eager to help us.

Stayed in a private bunk bed (two single beds, stacked) room with en-suite bathroom. Very clean room and bathroom with clean linens. Hostel staff were super nice and customer service was top notch. Beds included a sheet covering the mattress, pillow with pillow case, and duvet with duvet cover. The room was small, which was to be expected. The bathroom was very small, only slightly bigger than a transatlantic airplane bathroom. Shower was so small that I had to turn the water off while applying soap. That being said, this was not a huge letdown since it is, after all, a backpacking hostel. Walls were thin and could easily hear people in the hallways, but again not a huge letdown since it is a backpacking hostel. Didn’t spend time in the room except sleeping and getting ready in the mornings. Belushi's had a fantastic vibe - enjoyed watching champions league soccer there one evening. Nice location next to Gare-du-Nord so metro travel around the city was super easy. Overall recommend this place and would stay again.

A basic hostel in a great location. I was in a 10-bed dorm (basic but clean) and was lucky that some lovely people were there at the same time as me. The lift didn't work for most of my trip so if you're someone with mobility issues I wouldn't count on this! The toilets were also a bit unreliable (wouldn't flush across multiple floors on one morning) and the breakfast was very basic. Standard hostel vibes! The location is really good though (minutes' walk from Gare du Nord and metro) and there was a friendly atmosphere.

St Christopher’s Inns continue to be my favorite hostels to stay at when I travel. The prices are fantastic, the staff are incredible, and the accommodation is great for the price. The staff were very welcoming and ready to assist with anything I needed. The rooms can be a bit warm at night but I just slept without using the top sheet and got by. The hostel is right by Gare du Nord station so it is very easy to get anywhere by metro if you purchase a Paris Visite pass. The bar below the hostel is similarly lovely; the food and drinks are both delicious and reasonably priced. I would absolutely stay here again. Thank you!

The lobby area is nice, and free water. There’s a nice bar also that gets super busy but good vibe. The rooms can definitely be improved. My room smelled like someone smoked inside the room, I told the receptionist to at least open the window which they did and on her way out she said “doesn’t smell like cigarette” when it clearly did because 5 other people in the room said the same. The place gets very loud because of the bar downstairs, I didn’t mind it at all but just an fyi.

Decent enough rooms - although I was in a private one. It was small, but clean, and well priced. If you book through their website you get certain perks, as opposed to booking on Hotels.com or Booking.com. The line to check in, however, was abysmally long, with the workers taking it way to slowly for it to make any sense. I waited around 45 minutes just to check in at midnight - there were only 2 people ahead of me, and behind me over 10. Poor them. the location is great, minutes away from both Gare du Nord and Gare de L'est, so it's a great intermediary.

The price is affordable and it is clean. However, my friend and I had some inconvenience: 1. There is no hot water on floor 3 for the shower. So I had to go down to floor 1 so I could take a shower. 2. The window from the room did not close completely, so the heat escaped, and the room was cold. 3. The lockers need to be paid with cash. So we had to keep our luggage before check-in outside cause we just only had cards.

Stayed here for a night in a private room with one bed and restroom. The stuff is friendly, the location is very convenient, hence 2 starts. The rest is a rundown property with smelly rooms and the shower of a size of a lavatory in a plane. Smells quite similar as well. My was also quite loud with water running somewhere all night, maybe the water tank is bottomless. The room was very shabby and the walls had bubbles from moisture. It smelled quite funky, but thankfully, this was something my nose got used to in couple minutes. Upon check-in, the staff said that they don’t have towels. Which were supposed to be delivered at 10pm. I never got mine. The shower is tiny, again, imagine a lavatory in a plane + a small cutout for the shower. I am not big, but was rubbing the walls quite often. Overall, I won’t come back anymore and do not recommend anyone either (especially room 121). Maybe shared bunk beds are ok, a lot of students were happily running around.

  • 3/5 Timo S. 5 months ago on Google
You pay for the location. The service is not great, neither are the rooms that great. Breakfast at 7 means you sometimes need to wait sometimes for 10 to 15 minutes because it's not ready yet. Warm water was not available some of the days. You share toilets and a bathroom not with your room but with your whole floor. That makes that there are simply not enough bathrooms and going to the toilet at night is more annoying. The security personnel are also very strict and give a non friendly feeling. The bar has drink nights with loud music so take some ear plugs with you and a lock 🔐

Starting with the friendly atmosphere and amazing staff from front desk to housekeeping, this has been a 10/10 experience. You feel very welcomed and the help from everyone at St. Christopher’s to help with any questions from transit to fun areas to visit is nothing short of that of a five star hotel. I’m excited to plan my next trip and stay at a St. Christopher’s location.

Clean, spacious rooms, warm water in the shower everyday , very kind at the reception , there is a hair dryer already in the bathroom but not very much space to leave your clothes, the towels are 3€ but you can change it for free. Overall, i liked it, i am pretty sure i will come back!

My friend and I stayed in the 8 bedroom all female dorm. The bds were comfy and the privacy curtains were really nice. The bathrooms had no toilet paper every day we were there and we had to use the bathrooms in the lobby. Location was great.

I’ve stayed in three of the St. Christophers locations and this was one of the better ones, because the room was spacious & clean, the bunks had privacy curtains, big under the bed locker bins and a sink in room, which is convenient. However, the showers, specifically on the third floor, had NO HOT WATER. I was there for three nights and tried every shower on the third floor and none of them had hot water. At one point, the shower I was in was not draining and began to flood. Also, there was a 24+ hour period where all of the bathrooms on the third floor were out of toilet paper, even after I told reception. While most of the staff was very nice; there was one woman who was rather unpleasant and unhelpful. The lobby always seemed a bit chaotic, filled with people, while the outside area between the lobby and the dining room was always filled with smokers.

Location is the only positive thing. Close to Gare du Nord for international travellers arriving by train. Rude and inconsistent staff. Had to sleep outside because an error by staff. Went a year ago too and showers were dirty and mouldy. Would not recommend. Better hostel are available, even in this budget class.

This youth hostel is great. It has an elevator, the six-person room has wooden floors, there are two bathrooms in the room, and the bed is wide and sturdy. There will be no rattling noise when people on the upper bunk get up and down. Each bedside has a light and three sockets. There are curtains on every bed to protect privacy. You have to swipe your card to get on the elevator, enter the door, go to the laundry room, and go to the bar, which is absolutely safe. Under the bed, everyone has an iron box that can be pulled out, which can hold a 20-inch suitcase. The iron box can be added with a padlock🔒

So...this hostel here is not awful, but still rather unpleasant. Key: There's a massive British-style sports bar in the building, serving as the main "money-maker" of the business. As a result, the common room reeked of vomit, I wasn't allowed to eat in there (lest people wouldn't visit the bar), sleeping is made difficult by loud music; you'll probably run into other discomfort if you're like me and travel for culture. Fortunately, my room was turned to the street, so it wasn't as noisy - but there was no air conditioning. 31°C nights quickly become 36°C nights with 100% humidity and 2000ppm CO2. The breakfast is fine and worth paying for. The area is fair. Most importantly, it was 3 minutes from the next Métro stop. However, it feels unsafe and at some point there was empty opioid packaging right outside the entrance.

A decent place to stay for couple of days. Good = socket, curtain, light by the bed - clean bed, fare enough mattress - nice staff at reception - one free drink on arrival Bad= rooms, toilets, corridor lack cleaning - only 2 toilets and 2 showers for male on level 1 ( right side ) - permanent leaking toilet ( I mentioned it but seem like wasting water isn't a problem ) - once you paid you are just a number - you can't order at the bar before 11am ( it's only open for those who booked breakfast and then it's cleaning time ) - location is good but neighbourhood requires some serious security guard, which is too bad for a hostel. Overall, for 30e/night, 3/5
