What an experience! This gourmet restaurant, located inside Gare de Lyon is one of a kind. The interior is breathtaking. I felt like I was dining inside a museum. The service staff is delightful, friendly and attentive. The food although a bit on the high-end price was worth it. I would definitely come back to this place again.

The decor is amazing! Stunning palace. Service is attentive, though things came really slow, I assume being a Friday night, our waitress tried to explain to us with great attitude. Food is really no more than 3 stars, comparing to highly competitive French cuisine bistros/fine dining restos; and very overpriced.

Highly recommended. Easy to locate since it is in the train station. There were lots of police at the train station though. Had our Christmas eve dinner and the restaurant was full house. Service was excellent- our server was fluent in English and all the staff were smiling and kind. Food was great and well thought off. Our dinner was more than two hours but worth it because of the comfortable seating and amazing interior. Restroom is ok. There is free wifi.

It took us a good amount of time to find the restaurant, particularly because we didn’t expect such a luxurious restaurant to be located in a subway/train station. The only thing unique and positive about this dining experience is for the cute photos and performance (they do cool plating and cooking sequences tableside). Throughout the whole dinner, the experience was completely ruined by the stench of the subway station (because the restaurant is located inside of the station). It took us about an hour to receive our food, half an hour just to get a staff’s attention so we could order (we were very hungry). Most importantly, the food is okay, just okay. My family and I ordered fish (€110), rib eye steak (€120), and a salad (€13). To start off on a good note, it’s great to know that everything was prepared fresh and with lots of care and that the serving sizes (for the steak and salad at least) were LARGE (it took three people to finish the steak). The fish was fresh but the flavor of the sauce and seasoning was lackluster. The salad was too salty with too much balsamic vinegar and strange tasting hazelnuts and walnuts. The steak was rather tough (hard to chew and swallow) and incredibly bland (I think the staff knew it was bland they gave us an extra dish just full of salt on the side). The sides and sauce was okay and didn’t add much. The food overall was OKAY, but for the price, I cannot walk away from my meal satisfied, especially with the quality and taste of the food. The bathroom was quite nice though and smelled much better than the dining room sewage smell.

The environment is definitely amazing and the service is also very good. The food is good, but not perfect, as example the lamb's leg was just warm and even the sauce was just warm too. The desserts are very good and prices are ok. One very important point: the glass on my table was simply dirty.

I really struggled writing this review. There were mixed reviews when I reserved a table at le train bleu however decided to give it a go. The restaurant has internal decoration that is breathtaking and takes you to a place outside of Paris. Ultimately though when you consider the high price they are charging you need to consider the food, service and overall experience not just the high ceiling paintings. The restaurant was busy on the Saturday night however we didn’t have any service at our table for over thirty minutes from sitting down. When we did receive service it was below par and if I am honest not very attentive and I do wonder if this is due to us not being a national. When you are paying over €30 for a starter and €40 for a main you expect the food to be of a high standard. We ordered the salmon starter, which was delicious. However that is where the food stopped meeting expectations. The lamb one of their specialist dishes was cold, the only warmth on the plate came from the gravy. The potato’s were nothing to write home about as they didn’t have any flavour. The dessert of clementine soufflé tasted like orange flavoured scramble eggs. It was not a subtle egg flavour, the taste over powered the dessert, with the only pleasant thing on the plate being the coriander ice cream. With the bill close to €200 for dinner for two I would have to say I don’t recommend this being the restaurant you visit in Paris for a special occasion. I would not go back because the experience was not worth the price tag.

Very very pretty and antique place! Also spacious and quiet. I thought the price was mainly for environment but the foods turned out to exceed expectation as well! Recommend Lamb and Loboster pasta. Service is good as well, suggest to reserve in advance.

One of the most beautiful dining rooms we’ve ever experienced. It is absolutely gorgeous. And to think that it’s located within the Gare de Lyon train station! Our seating was for 7:00 pm, the first available of the evening. The service started out a bit bumpy but quickly recovered. The vegan dishes we enjoyed were very satisfying and quite filling. They not only were visually appealing but also delicious. There is even a separate vegan menu. All in all, a great dining experience. Please note, however, that there are many shady characters hanging around the restaurant exit and are not to be trusted. We were approached multiple times for money and for transport to our hotel by individuals who had other interests in mind. Be very cautious.

First of all, it's SO beautiful! Absolutely stunning. However, here are some things to know beforehand! Be aware that there are a lot of people, so make sure to book a reservation if you want to be sure to have a table. Regarding food, the vegetarian gnocci were great, but the salad was not - much more salad leaves than would be nice in a seemingly sweet salad. The service was okay, apart from the fact that our wine was just entirely forgotten, and some servers seemed not to speak very good English. The prices are high, but not as high as you'd expect in a place like this! Still, a must visit if you're at Gare de Lyon and want to have a great lunch!

What an experience! We had a magnificent time at Le Train Bleu. The atmosphere was out of this world! So elegant and takes you back in time. The food was more than amazing. We got a fish plate for two. Not just was the taste extraordinary, but the presentation as well. The service was on par. Would definitely go again. Highly recommended

Amazing space!! The staff were extremely nice and service was fast but man the food was just ok at best. The lamb was great, our starters were just decent. My wife's lobster pasta tasted bitter and burnt not sure what the aim was, but it was not a good dish at all. Have had far better food in much more modest places. But I would say it's worth doing for the overall experience but don't expect the food to be as good as it should be. Looks better than it tasted all around. EDIT: The food also ran my belly so guessing something was not prepared properly... 🫣

Came for a meal a night before we went back to the UK, I have to say after hearing great things about Le Train Bleu we weren't let down. The service is as expected and on point, the food was amazing too. We had guinea fowl, salmon for mains and the pistachio cake and crepe for dessert. Of course it you're after a heavier meal and quantity instead of quality then other menu options might be preferred.

We had the train bleu menu for €110. To begin with the first starter, it was very creamy with a lot of flavor; very nice! The second starter was an okay foie gras. Nice and mature but not the best. The smoked salmon was very good with nice zucchini sides. The cod was one of the best dishes of the day; tender with a crispy skin. The sauce was flavorful and creamy with an umami side of mushroom. The fourth dish was the spoom which was a refreshing break in the diner. The fifth dish was the main: veal with ravioli. The veal was very tender with nicely cooked ravioli with lovely herbs. The fish version of the fifth dish was smoked salmon. There was no side but the salmon was very nice with a tasty sauce. The cheese platter fell short as they weren’t good. The cheeses we eat in the Netherlands are better and much better price wise. So do not buy the cheeses. The dessert was fine, not spectacular but nice. Regarding the service, it was very good. However, the first few dishes came too quickly after eachother. Immediately after a dish, the next one was served. Rather fast than slow service tho! Overall, pretty good menu but a bit pricy for €110 euros. We would earlier recommend just choosing a la carte. The decor was very beautiful and gave a nice french vibe!

Such a beautiful restaurant inside a train station, definitely a bucket list for Paris and we will definitely return! The internal decoration is breathtaking and the food was delicious too. We were the only table not ordering wine or champagne during lunch 😆

We had a fabulous lunch here before catching our train to Geneva. This is an iconic establishment and has an amazing history. The service was great, and the food was faultless. I had lamb carved at the table. The accompanying wines were also superb. However, the main attraction is the decor and the ceiling and wall murals depicting various locations in France are well worth looking at. All in all, it is a very special place that I highly recommend.

It is one of these rare places where, despite the hype surrounding it, you are not disappointed and what you experience is even better than what you expected. It started with a friendly welcome bu the staff, extremely well trained and competent waiters, and food to die for. Creative and beautiful presentation of what could pass as traditional cuisine otherwise, generous portions, and, of course, a most beautiful art nouveau decor. Expensive but worth it

Not only is this one of the most beautiful restaurants in France but also the world! I have been to many beautiful restaurants in Asia and Europe and let me tell you this blows me away!!it is so opulence! The waiters are all dressed up and so professional! And the food? It is Michelin 2 stars for a reason! The China and silverware are all beautiful and highest quality! Imagine stepping back in time and if it is only for few hours you are treated like royalty! The wine, lamp , are so wonderful! And the best dessert ever! Strawberry is so fresh with the white chocolate is to die for!!! My wife and I just love this place! Absolutely romantic! Yes, dress up! Is worth it!!!

Gorgeous restaurant, there is an elevator for those in wheelchairs or strollers have to go around to the other side to find it. The waiters were in full uniform and recommended good drinks and food, we ordered the pre fix large menu, the food was pretty good but nothing to rave home about. Cool place to enjoy old school French good and service

Worth an experience for the interiors. We did not have a meal but we stopped by for a couple of drinks and to have a birthday dessert for our son. Service was good and the staff was very polite. The bathroom was stinking though which was off-putting.

Come back again since more than 5 years, the service is surprisingly improved everyone is so nice and the good is still good. The decoration, nothing to say, always splendid. Le train bleu is really a good recommendation for someone visiting in France for the first time. By the way, the portion of the dishes is big so be careful.

Amazing restaurant at the main railway station. It’s worth a dedicated visit for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food was extremely good but I have to say the service from the staff outshone everything else. All of them were chatty and had a laugh with us. But equally very professional. They really knew how to read the room. The actual setting is very ornate and classic Parisian style, so that’s worth visiting in itself. I thought it was quite pricy when we were there - although it’s definitely worth the spend. However, having had dinner at an alternative restaurant later that day for maybe 2 thirds of the cost and really average, I’d not say it’s great value for money.

The restaurant interior is beautiful and the service was fine (staff is hard working, and I had no issues ordering or getting the check in a timely manner). However, I would not go there for the food. I mistakenly ordered two of the set 3-course "PLM" dinner to try a variety of fine French dining, but was very disappointed. There was a strand of hair on the bread, and the fish bouillabaisse came with three tiny mussels (one was just the shell, without a mantle). Not to mention, I could smell the bathroom when I reached the bar space on my way to the bathroom. It's surprising considering it's history and the raving reviews (each table had a Google review QR code).

Beautiful restaurant. The location is truly amazing and it is probably one of the nicest train station restaurant in the world. And the service was also really nice. Unfortunately, what came in the plates was not great and not a good value for money.

This is more elegant dining than one would expect so my recommendation is to not go anywhere in a T-shirt and shorts and flip flops. I understand what they were trying to do with the sea bass but it was sitting in a bowl of olive oil when it was served so well the sea bass was cooked well, there must have been 4 oz of olive oil poured over the tomato and artichoke rag out. Decor is beautiful. Men, wear a shirt with a collar. Respect the house. They will seat you no matter what you're wearing because I just want the money, but respect with the chef and the manager trying to do and dress up a bit

An absolutely delightful lunch experience. Before embarking on our South of France journey by train, we reserved a table at this Paris landmark. The architecture is beautiful, the paintings, the elegant railway atmosphere is just beautiful. The food was also excellent. Our waiter was fantastic, very friendly, funny, well, just a pleasure!!

What truly special experience. This beautiful gourmet restaurant is located inside Gare de Lyon. This Paris restaurant interior is breathtaking and one of a kind. The staff is delightful, friendly, attentive and are fluent in English. The food is on a bit on the high-end price for the portion size but still was very tasty and worth it. I would highly recommend making reservations online. We came in December and it was quite hard to find a dinner reservation even 3 weeks out. This was the first restaurant I ever ate in while in Paris 12yrs ago as a young backpacker and now this time I can with my husband living in France to celebrate. This restaurant will always hold a special place in my heart and memories.

The lamb leg was cooked to perfection. All tasty. Excellent food. The waiters were new or unexperienced or tired on 13.02.2024 14:00. They brought coffee without milk after specifficly asked, then waited 10 min for sugar. One of them dropped the spoon and then put it back ok table. After seeing my look, he replaced it. We were celebrating something, it would have been great not to be treated like that by the waiters.

Atmosphere- Impressive interiors as the restaurant is a site to behold. Had a booking for the restaurant and we were first shown to a back room, which had a weird smell. We asked to be moved to the main restaurant. The service wasn’t at par as it felt we were just left on our own. We had to ask several times to be served. Steak was really tasty as it’s cut from the bone in front of you. You can tell that it’s been marinating for long as the flavour was oh lalala. Fish wasn’t that good. The restaurant also gets quite busy and it might be best to book a table elsewhere you could be waiting for a while to get a table.

We were in Paris for our honeymoon and on our last day my husband surprised me with lunch at Le Train Bleu- The place is magical and so beautiful, the ceilings are ones you will be mesmerized. This is a 2 Michelin star restaurant and it does not disappoint. I had the John Dory fillets and my husband had the lamb. We shared a dessert the Suzette Crepe, delicious. I recommend coming here for a beautiful experience.

Beautiful restaurant at Gare de Lyon since 1901. The room is astonishing and deserves to be admired each single minute you spend there. It was built for the world expo beginning of the 1900’s. A must during your stay in Paris! The food is good, portions remain a bit small and prices are high. Starter+ Main + Dessert = +-80€ Service is friendly and accommodating but could be improved.

Quite expensive for the quality of service and food. Would rate it 3/5. However, the place is beautiful and worth a visit for the experience. The place feels understaffed, with waiters running around and not taking a minute to make us feel welcomed. Food is very basic, nothing special, but also not bad.

Very fancy experience with this restaurant. The customer is fantastic and the decor is stunning. The entrance is hard to find at first, since it's in the train station. The place is a destination for instagram people, you will see a lot of people posing for tons of photos. The food was great and the drinks were even better. This place is very pricy, but an excellence experience.

Amazing place. Rich 2ith history and art. Service is excellent except for a few minor elements. Food is pricey. It is not Michelin rated and shouldn't t be that expensive. So basically, one is paying for the amazing decoration .Dessert is better than the main dish. Special notice for the poire pochee a l hibiscus. To be tried only once.

The restaurant by itself is astonishing. Something you don’t see every day. Great architecture, and something worth visiting for sure. The food was delicious and you get many options in wine and cheese. The only observation was that in my plate the potatoes were undone. Other than that a great night at a great place.

The place was a bit hard to find and it's in a busy train station, so the walk to the restaurant felt a bit awkward. That said, the decor was amazing inside. The service exceeded my expectations and the food was pretty much on par with the price and setting. Expect to pay €150 or more for two for dinner and drinks but I think you get your bang for your buck here, since comparable service and food goes for 30% more in other places.

If you’re looking to go here, you probably saw it on Social Media. Yes, it really does look that amazing and yes, there will be influencers there taking copious amounts of photos. We both had the Train Bleu tasting menu and the wine pairing. Food was very good, especially the first few courses - scallop slices with beets and foie grad were the standout for me. The venue is magical, but note that it is inside the Gare de Lyon. The steps up to the restaurant are also social media-worthy. Staff was very helpful, but there were small issues here and there that were immediately addressed/fixed by others. I believe one of the members of the team was very new/in training so I may amend my service rating if that’s the case.

If you are looking for a delicious dinner in an amazing atmosphere in Paris, Le Train Bleu should be very high on your list. The interior decor is amazing, and gives the feeling of being in a traditional French palace.

If you have time to kill between trains, what a place to wait. We ate in the bar area, as the restaurant had just closed, & choose Caesar salad. The disadvantage of eating in the bar is the seats are not designed for eating as they go back a long way & the tables are low. We had to ask which dishes were gluten free & were told they could adapt the Caesar salad. It arrived without much dressing compared to the standard one & it took a while for more dressing to arrive once we requested more. An expensive place to eat but you are paying for the decor, which is stunning.

In AWE. Feels like we were in a movie. We are so happy we decided to dine here and celebrate a special occasion. The place is so romantic, grand and nostalgic. I booked through their online reservation a week before our planned visit and it was easy. When we arrived the place was a bit intimidating but the moment the host welcomed us with a smile we felt at ease. It would be best to dress for the occasion but don't be restricted by it. We had a couple seated beside us and they were in their casuals, on the other side in their cocktail dresses even in coat and tie. I think as long as you're not wearing flip flops and undershirts you'll be ok. Food was top-notch, expensive but worth it. Fun fact if you watch Mr. Bean, this was the restaurant he visited in the movie where he was left in awe as well.
