Nice
museum
surrounded
by
a
little
park.
The
permanent
exhibition
is
divided
into
four
parts
-
Oceania,
Asia,
Africa
and
Americas
-
that
feature
glass
displays
with
various
artifacts
(lots
of
masks),
freestanding
objects
such
as
pillars
and
statues,
and,
in
the
middle
of
the
room,
plenty
of
seating
opportunities
with
little
touch
displays
on
which
you
can
watch
some
videos
and
read
additional
texts.
To
me
personally,
the
oceanian
part
was
most
interesting,
and
the
asian
exhibition
was,
to
be
honest,
a
bit
disappointing
-
the
museum
map
said
there
would
be
objects
from
Japan,
China,
Siberia
and
India,
and
whilst
there
were
plenty
of
objects
from
India
(and
lots
from
South-East
Asia,
especially
Vietnam),
there
was
only
one
small
room
on
the
side
dedicated
to
all
of
Siberia,
and
one
wall
to
Japan
and
China
each
-
so
if
you
want
Asian
art
and
culture,
Musée
Guimet
on
the
other
side
of
the
river
might
be
a
better
choice.
The
other
parts
were
fine
enough.
Overall
it
is
worth
a
visit
-
especially
if
you're
undet
26,
admission
is
free
for
you
-
though
it
should
be
mentioned
that
it's
not
an
ideal
destination
if
you're
looking
to
take
pictures
of
the
artifacts,
as
all
rooms
are
quite
dark
and
the
glass
is
very
reflective.
