The staff was very kind and friendly, and it was good atmosphere. I ordered a peach parfait (Peche Melba €12) and it was amazing! A whole peach was used in the parfait, and crashed pistachio was on the whipped cream, which was perfectly mixed in your mouth. At first, I wanted to eat a strawberry parfait, but it was for only summer so I definitely want to try that next time.

Berthillon is an old famous ice cream shop. Tried fig and chocolate sorbet for 6.5€. I think it’s better to take away the ice cream and enjoy it outside rather than in the shop. Fruit sorbet was too sweet for me I didn’t find its flavor natural, but chocolate one was good. Even though there is better ice cream in Marais which is near Ile Saint Louis, this place can be good to try out and see the vibe on the little island.

We had to wait to get seated but it was Saturday afternoon so not the fault of the staff. They were incredibly quick at the turn around of tables and getting us seated. Menu was simple. I got the chocolate ice cream with whipped cream and it was some of the most delicious ice cream I’ve ever had. My husband got the chocolate cake and it was also great. It was a perfect treat on a warm afternoon. Also they give you free water and there is a decent toilet available for use.

Fantastic ice cream in the center of Paris! I got the dark chocolate, pistachio and strawberry sorbet flavors, which are delicious and well-textured. They are the best ice-cream I've ever had so far. The quality is top notch and it feels like I ate real fruits and chocolate in my mouth. The queue is super long but totally worth it. I have been here for more than 3 times and it never disappoints me.

The ice cream shop was recommended to me by a shop assistant at a shop selling shirts. All the ice creams are delicious✨I got the Fig and salted caramel flavours with whip on top. They look pretty and the coffee was delicious! There are so many different types of ice cream that it's hard to decide 🥰

I heard this is popular ice cream shop but there was not a queue when I visited in the evening on late autumn. One scoop 3.5€ and it’s so tiny for that price.Taste is good but it’s too expensive for that taste. It could be better if there’s some cover for the containers of ice creams.Cuz i saw a staff spit unconsciously on them when they talk. I’m not gonna come back,I think.

Long queques, but worth waiting. Great selection of the flavours. Sorbets (apricot and wild strawberry) were mouth-watering, just excellent. In summer be prepared for waiting around 30 minutes. If you are buying huge portion take away, you can get them in the store without queuing. Must try when in Paris!

The BEST ice cream shop! Highly recommend coming to enjoy a nice break from the heat and to order some delicious sorbet and other ice cream. They offer a three scoop combo with whipped cream and coulis, which is quite lovely

Tried ice-cream and some apple tarte-like desserts. I preferred the ice-cream. The prices are not so favorable but you will soon find its taste deserves the price.

An incredible ice cream and sorbet spot that’s always busy, right in the center of Paris. If you’re looking for the best ice cream and sorbet around, you’ve found it here. It’s a classic place that has been around for ages, and deserves to be. There’s absolutely always a line out the door, and it’s completely warranted. The main part of the shop is essentially just a walk up, and there’s also a second room now that had table service. The design and ambiance is upscale traditional, with beautiful wooden walls. The staff is extremely friendly and let you take your time, even when they’re busy. They have an extensive list of extremely high quality flavors that are all delicious. From fruity flavors like grapefruit to rich caramels and nuts, they’ve really mastered it all. Everything is so flavorful, creamy, and smooth, and absolutely not too sweet. Scoops are small, but prices are reasonable for the quality. I make sure to always swing by whenever I can, and you should too!

Good place for an ice cream. Good in flavour and good size. It was a small queue, staff friendly. Well located, quite close to the Notre-Dame cathedral.

Love this ice cream, it’s famous for a reason. We got honey nougat and speculoos but there are lots of flavor. Heads up: There are many shops and cafes nearby that say “Berthillon” in the window because they sell the ice cream so make sure you go to the actual right place! (And not just some random cafe that carries their ice cream cream.)

Indeed the best icecream in Paris. I had Yogurt Yuzu and Raspberry with Rose scent. They all have rich taste. As a rose lover, my most favorite flavor is Raspberry with Rose.

This review is for the cafe with sit down service. The premises are small with limited tables, though interestingly the queue moved much faster than waiting for to-go. Service was professional with clean decor. My sundae was excellent with a half container of raspberries placed above and below the whipped cream, more than generously provided. Pistachio decorations a nice touch. Chocolate ice cream was rich, cassis and raspberry sorbets intensely tart, vanilla had nice floral notes. Coffee rounded out the degustation nicely, flavored with excess whipped cream. Yes, this place charges a premium for its location and fanfare that’s turned it into a tourist destination, but the ability to sit down and enjoy a rest before exploring the island, visiting Notre Dame and strolling the Seine offers a special value. And ice cream is excellent. Plus you can say you’ve been there. PS - for the ultimate ice cream experience IMO visit Les Glaces by Alain Ducasse.

Delicious ice cream, soft and creamy with a variety of flavours. Not sure if it’s the best in Paris, but definitely a good one and worth visiting. There was a short queue even we came in the early afternoon of a regular weekday (off peak season).

Highly recommend the white chocolate and raspberry ice cream combo, feels like a cheese cake. Also the chocolate viennois are well served and you get a lot for your money

Lovely atmosphere. Excellent ice cream. The whipped cream was very generous next time I will ask for less. Lovely staff. The the Isl de St. Louis is a lovely neighborhood to walk off all the calories.

Love this place! We came because of Anthony Bourdain’s recommendation and it did not disappoint. We definitely over ordered 😂 less is more. But everything was delicious. The Noisette (hazelnut) flavour ice cream is the best ice cream flavour I’ve ever tasted. Very nutty and rich. The tarte tain is also the best dessert on the menu. Highly recommend visiting. There’s always a long queue so come ready to wait! But it’s def worth the wait.

Berthillon is one of, if not the best ice cream/sorbet I’ve had in my life! Every single flavour delivers exactly what you imagine it to taste like, with a wide range of textures that add to the entire experience. Please stop reading and just go try for yourself.

This is one of the best ice creams I've had in my life. I went there because a friend recommended this place to us and I just want to comeback 😋. We tried 2 flavours: - cacao extra bitter. - nougat miel. Both delicious!!!

👍👍 If you are visiting Paris, a cruise ride on the River Seine is not to be missed. We chose Bateaux Parisiens as it was included in the Paris Pass. 😐 Granted, setting and mood are nice. Staff is, for the most part, friendly’ish. Food was average, in other words, rather disappointing. I tried all dishes but I had the pizza, it was lukewarm, chewy and could barely hold together towards the center as it was so moist. I wouldn’t go again but that’s...
