Pont Neuf is the oldest standing bridge across the river Seine river is Paris, France. One of the tourist attractions and many tourists never miss this bridge during their visits to Paris. This bridge connects vehicles as well as pedestrians with the 2 river banks of the Seine river. Scenic places which has a great view.

Amazing please it is a must visit in the evening times if you're visiting Paris. Just rushed towards enough in that area during the summer or winter you will find a good crowd. There are good restaurants to eat and drink your preferred items. Meanwhile do not miss the sunset view. It's amazing. If you are taking a date out just go to pont neuf area and find a good place to sit, bring your own beverages and enjoy the sunset. Best evening walk in Paris. Almost near to every tourist attractions. You can spend your evening watching sunset have dinner near by as well. Caution : place is too romantic 😉 so make it a memorable moment. I have attached few videos of a movie shooting I came across. Also some river cruises are available for boarding from this point of the seine river.

Came here during sunset and the view was fantastic. Not that crowded at all. This was the bridge that was known for the famous "love locks". The bridge is beautiful, and the oldest in Paris. See it from a Seine river cruise as well, especially at night

Besides being the oldest, this bridge is also the longest in the city (232 meters). Its name is due to the fact that it was the first stone bridge built in Paris (Neuf means new in French). It is an arched bridge and the construction of the bridge took place between 1587 and 1607. I really enjoyed walking on it and enjoying the beautiful views.

Amazing sight. We even saw a couple taking pictures here. I wonder if they just got married or came for a photoshoot here. The river is magnificent and the surrounding bridges and building made it even more so.

this is actually my favorite place in Paris I always go there and sit alone. I watch the tourists and the amazing and nice French people walking, talking and laughing with their friends. you also have the boats pass under the bridge, in the seine, with some music on; they usually wave to the people who are up on the bridge.

My favorite bridge in Paris, the Pont Neuf, or New Bridge, was brand new in 1607, but at 415 years, this two span vehicle and pedestrian structure is the city’s oldest. Dang, it’s been around longer than many countries! Started by Henri III in 1578, finished by Henry IV 29 years later, the 381 mascarons adorning it are copies of originals that depict the heads of field and forest divinities from ancient mythology called satyrs and sylvains. You can still see 6 of the originals at the Musée Carnavalet. It has always been such a central and striking part of the Paris cityscape and “is most picturesque, and with the varied outline of tall houses* and the grey cathedral behind it…, the more distant windings of the river, it still forms the most beautiful scene in the capital.” (Hare, Augustus J. C.; Walks in Paris). You can’t miss it when strolling along the Seine; shame on you if you do! *Yep, long ago they built houses on a number of Paris bridges.

The New Bridge is really the oldest bridge and it features a host of expertly stone carved heads, many of whom are making faces at you as you pass by. The whole thing makes you want to be French.

Pont Neuf is a beautiful destination to visit in the evening, offering stunning views of the city and the Seine River. As the sun begins to set, the lights of the city come to life, casting a romantic and picturesque ambiance on the bridge. At night, Pont Neuf is illuminated, providing a beautiful backdrop for a romantic stroll or a relaxing evening walk. You can take in the breathtaking views of the Seine River and the city's famous landmarks, such as the Eiffel Tower and Notre Dame Cathedral. In conclusion, Pont Neuf is a great place to visit in the evening for a romantic and memorable experience. The illuminated bridge and stunning views of the city make it a must-see destination for anyone visiting Paris.❤️

This is known as either the padlock bridge or the love bridge. However, due the weight of the sheer amount of padlocks that lovers had attached to the bridge in showing their affection for one another, these have now been removed and perspex has been put up to prevent anymore being attached, which is a shame. It is now illegal to put a padlock on the bridge, nevertheless they're now being placed on the lampposts instead- superb!

In contrary to its name it's the oldest standing bridge on the river seine in Paris. This place becomes surreal during night for the warm golden light. You can take rest in one of the many protrusions of the bridge while watching the romantic cityscape.

Pont neuf is the oldest stone bridge in Paris. Construction began during the reign of King Henry II in 1578, but due to epidemics, economic depression and religious wars, it was not completed until 1607 under King Henry IV. On the bridge, there are countless sculptures of faces expressing different shades, very impressive. At the beginning of the bridge there is a bronze statue of King Henry erected by Queen Margo herself

Despite its name Le Pont Neuf it is oldest bridge in Paris made from stones and it runs completely across the Seine. Name was given spontaneously at construction time and still remaind unchanged from aprox. 1600. It was also first open bridge in Paris, constructed first with houses on the bridge in mind but decided in construction process to be without houses at the end and was first as such in Paris, but cellars remained and underground passage also. Nice view from the bridge and baskests were in the past used as small shops.

The views of Paris💜 are to die for from Pont Neuf! We sat on a bench carved into the bridge for about 3 hours (I know!) before fireworks on 14°juliett and it was so worth it! We watched the sunset and boats go by. The actual fireworks were great but they started at way past 11pm and I think next time I'll book the hotel in city centre and camp literally outside the Eiffel Tower for a spectacular view. TIP: We had no issues catching the RER back to Val d'Europe but we positioned ourselves in close proximity to the station, knowing we will have to go back at night. Definitely be careful, especially when walking around in such big crowds like during Fête Nationale. Think and plan ahead.

The Pont Neuf was the first modern bridge in Paris. Not only was its design and size very different from the previous bridges in Paris, but it was also the first bridge without shops and markets. That's why the inhabitants of Paris liked to come to the Pont Neuf: to watch their beloved Seine.
